MADISON (click title to entry - thank you)  — Nearly 70,000 people converged Saturday on the Wisconsin Capitol to join in protests over a Republican bill that would strip public workers of most of their collective bargaining powers.
The rally drew thousands of University of Wisconsin students, Madison teachers and Madison people who work in the tall state office buildings that ring the Capitol square.
