When the going gets tough, the tough leave. If. The tough is a Republican.

Give me a break, okay? The Palin Budger REQUIRES Stimulus dollars in order to float. She is violating the 'spirit' of the stimulus dollars and is allowing the State of Alaska to take the heat. She's bailing on the people that elected her, albeit, regretably.

...Gov. Palin's Budget Director Karen Rehfeld is emphasizing accountability with Alaska's nearly $900 million stimulus portion.
Rehfeld says the state could owe money if the Feds find out Alaska did not carry out the stimulus correctly.
The news comes as the Feds say Alaska is now eligible for two portions of education stimulus money, including $96 million that will apparently trickle down to local districts.
Rehfeld continues to use the phrase "strings attached," telling the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce Monday what sounds like a cautionary tale.
The administration does not appear to be phased by lawmakers saying stimulus stings are false.
Instead Palin's budget director continued throwing rope after rope.
"The state needed to make specific reassurances," Rehfeld told the Chamber, adding, "There is unprecedented accountability. You will quickly see there are additional requirements or strings....

My Deepest Sympathies and...

...Peace to the Jackson Family.
