Taking a vacation

I will be on vacation until January 11, 2022. 

I may pop in from time to time.

January 6th is coming up. We will never forget.

Check union contracts for violations of this law.

Those that didn't report and experienced excessive force in their cities, towns or otherwise need to be prosecuted for skirting an important initiative. This is exactly what the lawyers wanted that advised against the reporting required by law. Get rid of the law.

A nationwide FBI database (click here) designed to track police use-of-force incidents is in jeopardy as communities bypass the initiative. Marin is among them.

The FBI effort, launched in 2016, has not met the threshold for publishing data, the federal Office of Management and Budget said last month.

The nonpartisan U.S. Government Accountability Office reported from 2016 to 2020, the Department of Justice collected and published data on law enforcement’s use of force but did not publish an annual summary of data on excessive force from each year as required by the 1994 Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act.

As a result, the program, aimed at tracking use of excessive force nationwide, could be discontinued in December 2022....
