The Grand Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve and Sanger de Cristo Wilderness Area in Colorado are being threatened by the petroleum industry.
In 1999, it was decided the aquifer below these lands was too important and it was necessary to protect it. Nearly 20 years later as the USA requires far less petroleum products than in 1999, this administration is allowing important and vital lands to be disturbed and contaminated by the petroleum industry for profit.
It needs to stop and it needs to stop now.
