There is no quick fix for this.

Medical facilities have been using locking trash cans since the HIV/AIDS epidemic. It is time for the restaurant and "main street" to think about security outside their facilities. Their customers are compromised. It has to end.

It is the times we live in. The domestic terrorists want to destabilize a very good economy in the USA. It is time we refused to let them succeed.

Chelsea, Manhattan —  The FDNY says 25 civilians (click here) were injured in an explosion in Chelsea Saturday night, in a busy area teeming with restaurants, bars and pedestrians.
The explosion happened in a garbage can around 8:30 p.m. at 135 23rd St. between Sixth and Seventh avenues.
"It was loud. It was very loud," said Crown Heights resident Fredricke M. Farrell.
"I was on 21st street and the blast sounded like it was right next door."...

The same methodology has been occurring in Europe. A couple of bombs going off in approximately the same place within hours apart. The domestic terrorists are trying to stifle the economy wherever they can.

As the areas available for Daesh in the middle east diminish in size, the international threat remains and will remain even after the middle east region is stabilized.

An explosive device (click here) detonated in the New Jersey beach town of Seaside Park this morning along the route of a 5k charity race befitting U.S. Marines and sailors that drew thousands of runners, officials said.

The start of the run had been delayed due to the vast amount of participants, so there were not many people in the area when the explosion occurred. The race was cancelled after the blast. No suspects have been arrested in connection with the explosion, according to New Jersey Attorney General Christopher Porrino.

"We are taking every step to ensure the safety of the public and to determine who was responsible for this explosion, which occurred at a time when runners in this charity race could have been in harms way," Porrino said. "We are grateful that nobody was injured, but this is a serious act of violence against the people of New Jersey. We will not rest until we find the person or persons responsible."

The FBI has taken the lead on the investigation, a spokesperson for the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said....

I found this story rather incredible. Both she, her fiance and their families are magnificently brave.

When Anna Swabey (click here) took to her blog, Inside My Head, on December 8, 2015, it was to share exciting news: Her boyfriend of 10 months, Andy Bell, had proposed.“He knew from day one that I was battling a terminal illness, and yet did not let this, in any way, shape or form cloud any of our time together,” Swabey wrote. “The most beautiful thing for me, is that Andy sees me, just for me, not ‘Anna with a brain tumor.’”
But Swabey never made it down the aisle. The 25-year-old from Leicester, England, passed away on Friday, September 16, just one day before she was due to wed Bell in front of 160 love ones. “Amongst our sadness, we are so proud of her courage, her spirit and the determination she showed throughout her illness,” Swabey’s heartbroken family wrote on Facebook....
It goes to prove everyday matters and it counts. Being in the moment was never more important. It is a clear statement that sincere love begins long before the wedding. It was the time they had. No one averted their eyes from pure happiness in the arms of another.
"I, ___, take thee, ___, to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part and thereto I pledge myself to you."

Koch Brother's pipelines repeatedly burst and are dangerous.

After their 2012 general election defeat, (click here) Republicans performed a self-autopsy and concluded that they had to convince the American people that they cared more about the “regular people” and not solely their special interest donors. Obviously they ignored their own diagnosis and have committed to serving the interests of their owners the Koch brothers. This week, despite a looming veto threat from President Obama, after House Republicans passed a bill subverting the President’s purview over a foreign nation’s pipeline and the Senate is following suit sometime this week. Of all the reasons to not build the Keystone pipeline, one that is often overlooked, and ignored by the corporate media, is the real and present danger of a break in TransCanada’s rupture-prone pipeline the company claims is safe and environmentally friendly....

That was last year, now there is another Koch pipeline explosion. These pipelines are dangerous and need to be closed and rebuilt, but, Koch won't spend the money, it is easier to keep the cash and let the people of the USA pay for THEIR negligence with environmental contamination and the climate crisis.

Americas Medium Range clean tanker freight rates (click here) on the US Gulf Coast-trans-Atlantic and USGC-Caribbean runs, have spiked 33% and 40%, respectively, since Monday after a leak on the Colonial Pipeline pushed barrels waterborne and charterers positioned to move light and middle distillates from USGC refinery terminals.

Colonial Pipeline's Line 1, the main artery pumping gasoline from the USGC to the USAC, had a leak in Alabama last Friday which closed the line. To avoid product building in the Gulf Coast, demand increased to move product to offsite storage locations as well as to mainly trans-Atlantic and Caribbean destinations.

According to S&P Global Platts Medium Range tanker data freight on the USGC-UK Continent run rose 33% from $9.29/mt this Monday to $12.39/mt Wednesday, while the USGC-Caribbean voyage rose 40% over the last two days from $6.58/mt to $9.21/mt.

Position lists rapidly tightened amid heavy fixing activity, as charterers were looking to find waterborne alternatives to moving USGC gasoline on the Colonial Pipeline for loading by September 20-21....

Everything was a lot safer before exports from the USA were permitted. Does the greed and disregard to life on Earth ever stop?

The US Congress never demanded the pipelines be rebuilt BEFORE the exports started. A Republican Congress is greed driven and incompetent to meet their corrupt promises.

Bernie is correct, Secretary Clinton needs to stick to the issues. Bernie is out there, anyone listening?

Hillary Clinton doesn't need a teleprompter. She knows her policies and can explain how it all works together to have a functioning USA. Her opponent cannot do that. His primary was laced with personal insults and power plays. He told lies willingly to keep up the enthusiasm to get him over the top, that is not needed by a candidate like Hillary Clinton who speaks competently to the audience and answers questions quickly because she knows the issues and the answers.

Hillary Clinton's opponent cannot speak to issues because he doesn't understand them. He has policy advisors and not insight. Her opponent's economic policy came right out of the "W" book (click here) whereby 4 percent growth is suppose to be the country's goals. The book was written at the Bush Institute. We know what happened under "W" and he never achieved 4 percent growth. Quite the contrary he destroyed growth, used up the government reserves at every turn sending the national debt higher, allowed anything that resembled an economic effort with Wall Street and finally fhen in a Lame Duck period imploded the entire global economy.

Bernie Sanders never stooped to name calling or negative ads. His campaign was upbeat, positive and fueled by Americans seeking a better way forward that embraced generational change. Hillary Clinton has a supporter in Bernie Sanders, don't ignore him.

Bernie Sanders (click here) is one of the most electorally successful non-major party candidates in United States political history. And he said Friday that voting for a third-party candidate for president in 2016 would amount to a "protest vote."
"Before you cast a protest vote - because either Clinton or Trump will become president - think hard about it," Sanders said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe." "This is not a governor's race. It's not a state legislative race. This is the presidency of the United States."
Sanders, of course, ran for president as a Democrat this year, shedding decades of working outside the two-party system that dominates American politics. And this is hardly the first time he's shunned a more progressive third-party candidate in favor of electing a Democratic president. As Dave Weigel wrote last year, he introduced Green Party presidential candidate Ralph Nader at a Vermont event in 2000, but he endorsed Al Gore over George W. Bush and then publicly shunned Nader's repeat candidacy in 2004....
