Now, explatives are illegal. What happened to freedom of speech and expression?

It is time to play to your audience.

When the Superbowl Committee SOLD the rights to CBS they should have included any limitations on the performances at Half Time. When CBS hired the team of Jackson and Timberlake they should have specified in the contract what was allowed during a Half Time performance, but, it would seem as though the FCC under Bush took the liberty to impose laws that limit freedom of speech and expression rather than hold accountable the very people that sold the rights to the Super Bowl.

The Supreme Court ordered a federal appeals court on Monday to re-examine its ruling that sided with CBS Corp. in throwing out the $550,00 fine imposed by the Federal Communications Commission, as a result of Janet Jackson's so-called "wardrobe malfunction" at the 2004 Super Bowl.

Conservatives will complain that Democrats believe in 'Big Government' when it comes to regulating the private financial sector, but, they never complain when 'culture freedoms' are removed from the American Landscape.

There is plenty wrong with a wardrobe malfunction when it happens during a prime time television show during family viewing hours, however, where the 'blame' lies and where the government have rights to impose on First Amendment Freedoms is a dangerous venue.

The responsibility that CBS has belongs in the Civil Courts and not the criminal courts. If the Super Bowl Committee never stipulated CBS had to limit its content then the liability belongs with the committee and not CBS. If the Super Bowl Committee stipulated CBS had to limit its content to 'family hour content' and CBS didn't pass that along in its contracts with Jackson and Timberlake then it would be CBS that bears the liability.

But.

There is no way this issue belongs in the federal courts at the level of criminal to facilitate a precedent that will effect the entertainment industry. It seems as though the 'managers' of these events, including the managers to the artists, are simply lazy when it comes to 'content' when they consider their audience.

In other words, the Republicans that pander to the religious right as a political base, are more than willing to rob Americans blind so long as they can 'work hard' at imposing the will of God over every social issue that exists.

Q: What are foreign tax shelters?...

Yep, there go those Democrats again, Big Taxes and Big Government that take wealth away from cheaters, while the taxpayer is left to bailout the domestic banking. The right wing has to know with the bank failures of this decades things are going to be changed and there is little chance it will ever return to any level of negligence as perscribed to by the Republicans.
