"Africa Rising"

The "Line in the Sand" is real. The mistake the country is making is to state it began with Ferguson.

The Department of Justice (click here) says the bracelets "reinforce the very 'us versus them' mentality that many residents of Ferguson believe exists," according a letter released Friday....

The study that is required is to realize how many 'death by police' have occurred in relation to any area's violent crime statistics.

What I am wondering is where there is higher crime rates also have higher young black men dying for no reason at all.

If the police respond most frequently to violent crime, then killing and shooting without regard to prudent policy becomes the first reaction. The odds that the person they are shooting already has a record and deserves to die to never cause the police (brotherhood) again.

This amounts to vigilantism, but, this time conducted by police. The bracelet proves a brotherhood exists and a simple symbol cements priorities that are known to them and not necessarily policy by any police department.
