There are some alarming accusations about Mira Ricardel. It sounds like someone from Homeland Security should gather facts. There are statements being made that proper security information wasn’t shared with the First Lady’s team. If that is the case then it should not happen again. The truth probably is that the White House is under staffed. Regardless of such poor management decisions the First Lady’s security is very important and her safety should never be compromised or risk an international incident.
Democrats need to pay attention to their European counterparts. Those that believe in democracy, freedom and liberty are under attack by Russia. Russia wants to place extremeists such as the president of Brazil into power regardless of their inability to lead. In doing so the chances of a dictatorship can emerge. In recent days as soon as President Macron of France was being berated by Putin, Trump began an attack as well. We know the NATO alliance is important to Europeans and those fit to lead should receive endorsements by those who love democracy.

At the bottom of many of these adverse victories, which are harmful to democracies, is Steve Bannon. It is easy to make the argument he is another opportunist interested in wealth and power and not the countries he seeks to undermine.

New House and Senate candidates should be included in trips abroad to increase their scope and expertise. I am sure they will easily relate to friends and allies. A word of caution about such travel; their is safety, both personal and political, in numbers. Attempts to undermine democracy at every turn is underway and we don’t want some of our talented newly elected members to be caught in any ridiculous traps set for them.

She is magnificent. The Democratic Party is very lucky to have her. They need to listen.

Trump’s Border Troops Have Nothing To Do (click here for more details from "Military Times.")

The duty is monotonous. They are primarily unarmed. The military has assessed and reassessed the migrants headed to the USA southern border. The US Troops at the border at actually not at the border, but, 90 miles from the border.

Thanksgiving is coming and while the troops are more than happy to serve the demands of it's country, there is little reason to maintain a large number of troops at the border through the holiday.

If President Trump wants to return some dignity to his office, he should ask for volunteers to maintain the camp and return the troops to their families this Thanksgiving. The troops will understand they can be called if there is a real need at the border now that the camp is established and ready for them to act.

There are approximately 400 migrants at the El Chaparral port of entry. The Border Patrol is closing some northbound lanes from Mexico to control the flow of any migrants when seeking to cross.

...Luis Bustamante, (click here) assistant secretary of the government of the state of Baja California, said there is room for about 900 migrants to sleep in Tijuana's handful of migrant shelters and churches. With the roughly 400 migrants who arrived Tuesday, Bustamante said only about 500 more migrants will find accommodations. Thousands more are on their way from central and southern Mexico.

The migrants will have to wait in Mexico if they cannot be accommodated in USA housing facilities. They have received significant help in Mexico to move them forward to the border. It has been interesting to realize the level of compassion these migrants have received in their movement north. But, a fraction of those that have made the entire trip to the border will have to find a peaceful way of living at the Mexico side of the border until there are others processed in USA housing and room is made for them.

There is no reason to believe the migrants will achieve a violent entry to run amok in the USA. Their behavior at this point is more important than they realize. They need to be patient and realize the USA staff along the border, including government staff and NGOs, are doing their best to process people in need of safety. There is also no reason to believe these migrants are in danger at the Mexico border. They have been supported by others that care about their well being. That simply needs to continue until they receive relief.

The National Guard has about 2,100 troops working along the U.S.-Mexico border as a caravan of thousands of migrants approach from Central America in a direct challenge to President Donald Trump’s immigration policies....
