The Republicans are creating uncertainty.

October 31, 2018
By Elizabeth Dexheimer

Wall Street is opening its checkbook to soften the blow from a blue wave. (click here)

For the first time in a decade, the securities and investment industries are spending more on Democrats than Republicans ahead of the Nov. 6 midterm elections. Bankers are also giving to Democrats.

A big part of that is anti-Trump, but a lot of the money is flowing to moderate Democrats, a sign Wall Street is seeking Washington allies to temper the impact of progressives such as Representative Maxine Waters and Senator Elizabeth Warren, who are poised to hit the industry with subpoenas and tougher oversight....

I think this will continue past the Midterms. Democratic leadership should be speaking to these folks. Former Mayor Bloomberg is talking about running for President as a Democrat. That is not as strange as it might sound.

There have been statements coming of GM about cars that are electric and grossly diminished use of pertroleum. That is huge.

There is definitely rumblings out of Wall Street about uncertainty and it has nothing to do with the current interest rates of "The Fed." It is about tariffs and the increasing uncertainty major companies are facing.

The CEOs and their Board of Directors are paying attention and while the tax changes are nice and they have enjoyed increases in their treasury, THEIR SALES are not improving. So, the bump after Trump is transitory and the markets are reflecting that.

Many of recent elections have been dominated by the backing of private family businesses. Trump is a product of that movement. The abuse of power in destroying regulations and endangering the public is a concern to most CEOs. They are not as glib as politicians. They have employees. They want optimally healthy employees and when public policy falls apart uncertainty of a quality workforce enters the picture.

It is disturbing to realize the children of Flint were poisoned. What does that do to their future and their future employers?

Mike Bloomberg is a really great man. He is moral to the core and he is immovable. He has been on the right side of climate and regulation for environmental concerns for a long time. Governing New York City teaches a person to be serious about life and the way government interacts with citizens. I am sure there are aspects of Mike Bloomberg that Democrats will oppose, but, he is a darn decent man.

So, Wall Street needs to back peddle on their willingness to simply dump money into politics and instead INVEST in the future in a way that matters.

If birthright citizenship was not in place, Nikki Haley would never had been governor.

Since 1970, (click here) the foreign-born population has continued to increase in size and as a percent of the total population. Today, the majority of foreign born are from Latin America and Asia. Considerable differences exist among the different country-of-birth groups in various characteristics. About 1 in 4 children under 18 in families have at least one foreign-born parent....

Nikki Haley was born on January 20, 1972, (click here) in Bamberg, South Carolina, to Sikh immigrants. The Republican entered politics at a young age, and served in the South Carolina House of Representatives for several years before becoming governor of the state. In addition to being the first female governor of South Carolina, she was the first Indian-American to serve in the role, and the second Indian-American governor in the country, after Bobby Jindal of Louisiana. In 2016 President-elect Donald Trump picked Haley to become the United States ambassador to the United Nations, and she was confirmed for the position in January 2017.

This is from Pew organization:

...More than 41 million immigrants (click here) lived in the U.S. as of 2013, more than four times as many as was the case in 1960 and 1970. By comparison, the U.S.-born population is only about 1.6 times the size it was in 1960. Immigrant population growth alone has accounted for 29% of U.S. population growth since 2000....

The Pew article was derived from US Census that I will cite here. Below are LEGAL definitions as part of USA law.

Native born

Anyone who is a U.S. citizen at birth
Born in the United States
Born in Puerto Rico
Born in a U.S. Island Area (e.g., Guam)
Born abroad of U.S. citizen parent(s)

Foreign born

Anyone who is not a U.S. citizen at birth
Naturalized U.S. citizens
Legal permanent residents
Temporary migrants
Humanitarian migrants
Unauthorized migrants

On Page 16 of 22 is a graph entitled, "Percentage of Population with a Bachelor's Degree Who Are Foreign Born by Field of Degree: 2010 (age 25 and older)

All Bachelor Degrees held by Foreign Born in the USA was 16 percent.
All Science and Engineering Degrees - 21 percent
Engineering - 32 percent
Computers, mathematics and statistics - 27 percent
Physical and related sciences - 24 percent

The USA relies on its birthright citizens for its brain trust.

Page 19 is a graph entitled, "Occupation by Nativity Status and Country of Birth: 2010 (Civilian employed population 16 years and old)

The majority of the birthright citizens born to non-citizen parents are employed in Management, Business, Science and Art Occupations with median incomes of $51,209 a year. The only birthright citizens that are not employed as a majority in professional jobs are those from Mexico with annual incomes of $16,910. The highest poverty rate of these groups is Mexican birthright citizens.

There is no explanation for this group's struggle, but, it may be that they have to work early, such as 16 years old, because their income is needed for their family. The Mexican birthright citizens need to be understood better. California may have better statistics on this group and why they are not achieving as other groups. They obviously are disadvantaged, but, the question is what is the disadvantage and how can they overcome it. It is probably the ability to purchase a home.

The United States of America does not have the highest rated schools in the world and it has become dependent on the Green Card to enhance it's brain trust. I strongly suggest education in the USA has to improve immensely before there is even a debate about birthright citizenship.

RAW: Texas school bus swept away by floodwaters (click here for article - thank you)

The driver and one child were rescued. This is Texas. Flash flooding is a reality. Sometimes one has to wonder what were they thinking.

I am advocating professional development of the adverse impacts of the profession within the USA and internationally.

I need to point out a fact that needs to be made about the totalitarian dynamic that is taking place with Trump voters. I don't care what Trump is all about, because, he doesn't care about the people of the country. He only cares about control of the people of the USA.

This is the only President in history that has set up his own "You Tube" news network and tweets chronically to maintain the attention and control of his followers. This is not mentally healthy for the president or the country.

I think the mainstream media needs to measure the pathology that exists in the tweets of this president in relation to their publication of it.

Is there a professional definition of "fake news?" That would be a good place for the profession to start. I am sure there is a legal definition at the FCC, but, professions develop their own standards outside the legal definition of anything and act on ethical issues as well. The legal violations usually take care of themselves in many instances.

After visiting the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, (click here) U.S. President Donald Trump tweeted on Wednesday that he was treated warmly by the community and that the media's portrayal of protests is "fake news."

Trump's visit caused immediate controversy in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood as demonstrations, initiated by local Jewish activists, sang Jewish prayers and marched condemning Trump and demanding he denounce white nationalism before visiting the city.

The visit comes after the deadliest anti-Semitic terror attack in U.S. history where 11 were killed by an anti-immigrant shooter on Saturday.

After the visit, Trump tweeted: "Small protest was not seen by us, staged far away. The Fake News stories were just the opposite-Disgraceful!"...

There is a lot going on with the Jamal Khashoggi case.

There is a more detailed reporting of the death of the journalist out of Turkey. The politics surrounding this death in Turkey is wholly inappropriate.

Nineteen have been arrested in connection with the case. I believe the arrests took place in Saudi Arabia, so the King is very serious about this tragedy and ending such extremist treatment of people.

And "Al Jazeera" is reporting after security reassurances from the UK and the USA, the King's Brother has returned to Saudi Arabia. He had left the kingdom to reside in the UK. He was retired at 70 years old. It is estimated there will a significant change in the leadership of Saudi Arabia.

Jamal Khashoggi was strangled (click here) as soon as he entered the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, then his body dismembered and destroyed in a premeditated killing, the city’s chief prosecutor has said in the first official confirmation of how the Saudi journalist died.

While Saudi Arabia has admitted that the dissident writer’s killing when he visited on 2 October to collect documents for his upcoming wedding was premeditated, it has not explained how.

Riyadh previously said Khashoggi died in a fight in a rogue extradition operation, and has maintained that the intact body was wrapped up in a rug and disposed of by an unidentified “local collaborator”.

“The victim’s body was dismembered and destroyed following his death by suffocation,” Wednesday’s statement said, bolstering Turkish investigators’ line of thought that Khashoggi’s remains could have been disposed of at the nearby consul general’s house, dissolved in acid or dumped in a well on the property....

Just as a point of interest, this is only one branch of the royal family.

The only surviving full brother of Saudi Arabia's King Salman (click here) has reportedly returned to the kingdom, amid an international outcry over the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Prince Ahmad bin Abdulaziz flew back to Riyadh from London on Tuesday, according to three Saudi sources close to the prince cited by The New York Times, in what some analysts are calling a potential challenge to the authority of Saudi Arabia's de facto ruler Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Sources told the Times bin Abdulaziz arrived in the Saudi capital around 01:30 (22:30 GMT on Monday) on Tuesday and was warmly received by his nephew, the crown prince, who greeted him at the airport....

The development (click here) of the gut microbiome from birth through to childhood is thought to be important for the pathology of diseases such as type 1 diabetes, but much is yet to be learnt about this phase of our microbiome development. Two papers in this issue draw on the most comprehensive data set on the infant microbiome to date to shed fresh light on this transitionary stage. The Environmental Determinants of Diabetes in the Young (TEDDY) study spans six research centres in the United States, Sweden, Germany and Finland....

...So far this year, (click here) the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says there have been 38 confirmed cases of the polio-like condition across 16 states.
There’s no cure and some children appear to have long-term disabilities, while others recover completely or nearly completely. A few need ventilators to breathe.
Acute flaccid myelitis appears to be caused most often by viruses, especially one called EV-D68. But other viruses may also be to blame. It seems to wax and wane from one year to the next, the CDC says.
After the 120 cases in 2014, there were just 22 in 2015. Then, cases spiked again to 149 in 2016. There were only 33 reported cases last year, according to the CDC....

Kaddish

This is a newsletter from a female Rabbi. She is simply a wonderful person. Her letter applies to all people from my point of view. The point is, in case it is not obvious to some, this is where the Jewish community is today.

Dear Friends,

I feel so torn at this moment of writing. I have so many things to share with you, all the makings of a vibrant Jewish community and yet, this cloud of sadness lingers heavily around the periphery of life. It takes your breath away and swallows the oxygen from the air. Evil unleashed is terrifying, yet when it comes so close to home, it is devastating.

And yet, this reality, the fine line between joy and sorrow, this tightrope is what makes for a REAL life. Being able to see, at once, the good as well as the bad, and then choosing to stay firmly on the side of goodness. This is the road we should all strive to walk upon. No, it is not easy but it is vital.

This past Rosh Hashanah I wrote a sermon entitled the Two Wolves. I began that sermon talking about Mr. Rogers and his impeccable devotion to the highest moral values. I stated that no, Mr. Rogers wasn’t Jewish, but his values certainly were. Mr. Rogers neighborhood was the Squirrel Hill community of Pittsburg.

The thesis of my sermon was that, the passage through time of our deepest and most precious Jewish values, to see God in every human soul, to love one’s neighbor as one loves oneself. To never judge another before you have stood in their shoes. To feed the vulnerable before you feed yourself, to reach out for the poor, the lost, the forgotten, the marginalized. To uphold the rights of the refugee because we once were those very same refugees. To welcome those who have no home. To fix the brokenness of the world with kindness and generosity of spirit, that it is these foundational Jewish values that keep the Jewish people vital and vibrant. We are nothing if we aren’t these values.

Our challenge today in light of this massacre, is to hold on even tighter to these values than we did before. 11 human souls had their precious lives stolen from them and I suspect, in my deepest heart that if we could ask them how we should proceed now, they would say, stay strong and guided by the values that have made our people a light of morality. Make that light shine even brighter. I believe this is what each one of them would tell us. I believe.

This is Trump's GOP. This message of hate is finding readers globally. It isn't just the Democrats that find this offensive. The world was fighting a very dangerous regime not long ago by removing "charismatic hate" from their religious community. This level of hate carries with it deaths of USA citizens. How many others around the world look at these acts of hate and rethink their affiliations with not just the USA, but, The West in general. If the USA is losing ground internationally, that threatens our very economy and this is the Trump presidency that stoops to such raw emotions of hate and bigotry.

It is grossly inappropriate and completely out of step with American values. This is definitely the "end of the campaign" lies and terror threats that exist with the GOP. These are the voters Republicans hope will push their balloting over the top. Hate. The Republican voters embrace the hate. This is so very old world and EXTREMELY desperate. Pathetic.

A campaign flier (click here) sent out by a Republican state Senate  challenger is being harshly criticized by Democrats and others as anti-Semitic, CBS Hartford affiliate WFSB-TV reports. Ed Charamut adamantly denies it.

But on Charmut's Facebook page, many people are asking him to apologize and drop out of the race.

The mailer was aimed at Democratic state Rep. Matthew Lesser.

It shows a drawing of Lesser, who is Jewish, with a gleeful look in his eye as he holds cash in his hands....

If Republicans, like Charmut, want to talk about taxes, then talk about factual information about taxes, don't demonize a person. This is so typical of the Trump's GOP. They avoid talking about the issues, such as protecting SSI and Medicare and must rather play with citizen's emotions. This is being talked about around the world considering the recent events. This is Trump. Every American should be concerned and I know American businesses are.

I briefly looked at the attempt to discredit Former Director Robert Mueller. I saw where there is an investigation, so that was the right thing to do. I have said before if accusations of any kind are made about another and found to be false there is already a remedy called malicious prosecution.

It looks like the media feels some responsibility for a 20-year old that is about to ruin his life, so let me read a little more.

My initial reaction to Rachel Maddow's reporting on this is that it reminds me of that wayward right wing nut, James O'Keefe. It is unfortunate the right wing builds so much of it's political dialogue on falsehood and extremist rhetoric that could never apply to a democracy. It is unfortunate because sad people like O'Keefe want to turn a quick buck and is a Superstar wannabee. Well, Superstar journalists are found in major newspapers around the country with reputations that are iron clad and speak the truth to power.

...Finally, last night, (click hereWohl tweeted: “Several media sources tell me that a scandalous story about Mueller is breaking tomorrow. Should be interesting. Stay tuned!” Various journalists who received the “Lorraine” email then started tweeting about it, and opining that it was shady and unconvincing....

This is where his plot turned into a mistake. He claimed to be in touch with journalists that would break the story. Journalists that have a lifelong history of rock solid reporting aren't going to put their reputations on the line for a story without solid facts. It seems to me what Wohl was attempting was to solidify his story to have several established journalists buy into the story, write about it and become invested in a way that they would make the story work. That is my impression.

To begin if any reputable journalist found out he or she was scammed or lied to they would immediately, if not sooner, rebut the story and issue retractions. Reputable news media would not stand for such nonsense if facts were reported to the management and would demand their journalists be accountable for the story.

So, for Wohl to assume conversations with more experienced peers meant the story was going forward is folly. The journalists reporting on the surge in sexual assault allegations are at The New Yorker and with Ronan Farrow. If Wohl believed he had significant information, that would have been the journalist to talk to that would bring him on in an appropriate and cautious way.

I think this all very unfortunate and at the present time it would seem as though Wohl has done nothing but cause his mother to change her phone number. He has caused himself a whole lot of trouble beginning with the idea "raw information" was actually newsworthy. Even Michael Moore only turns over raw footage after the facts are already known and won't include it in his films.

Any professional worth their salt puts in long hours to be sure the information published in news media or journals is worth telling.  That means sincere dedication to the profession and a reliance on peers to be the judge of their work. I would say, Wohl WAS on the right track, but, when he decided to control the outcome and force journalists to be defensive he lost his last best hope of becoming a Superstar.
I am quite tired of the racism revolving around diseases. Do you know why the migrants entering the USA need vaccines? To protect them from Americans that already have them.

Diseases can be used as a weapon of genocide. These folks are coming to the USA from countries where the only vaccines administered are frequently from the UN or other organizations like Bill and Malinda Gates. The Gates Foundation primarily works in areas of greatest need such as Africa. Most of the pictures of the migrants don’t show sickly people and we should all want to keep them that way.

The neurological issue with young children and immature immune systems is still a mystery. These outbreaks are occurring in small clusters. It occurs out of an illness. It doesn’t seem communicable so much as contact. I didn’t read a study yet that indicates whether the children were immunized or not. The MDs involved may already know that is not a factor. As more information is gather and the mechanism discovered a better picture will develop.

Just for the record this syndrome has been occurring since 2014. It is in no way a national concern. I know, I know, but it isn’t your child. It isn’t a lot of people’s children, okay? The best part is that no one is letting a rare syndrome slip by them. Research medicine is on the job and doing their absolute best in nailing this down. EVERY AMERICAN CHILD MATTERS! If parents want a guilt trip WASH YOUR HANDS REGULARLY when caring for your child.

But, as to the migrants, they will have survived an impossibility long journey on foot and will be reasonably healthy when they get here. They need food, water, shelter and each other once they get to the southern border.
Wow! Beto O’Rourke, another great candidate in a state where Dems rarely make the federal level in recent years. I like him. Very forthright. The Dems are lucky this year. So many wonderful candidates. And knowledgeable.

Scientists are calling for greenhouse gas collection and containment. It can be done, Trump doesn’t want to try. He doesn’t want to spend any money. It is my opinion he knew this type of statement was coming forward, hence, his own administration’s hideous assessment, which is nothing more than protectionist policy for petroleum and the Kochs. If Trump can make any measure seem impossible then he will have helped his friends.

Greenhouse gases that are collected can be turned into a solid. But, that solid has to be sequestered and not released again.

Men like Beto O’Rourke are necessary in the US Senate to pass legislation regarding tariffs and the Climate Crisis. It will never get done without them.

Other Presidents have never done this. Trump does not speak for me.

This is not about Red and Blue political parties. This is about how government works best. The Mayor and the Rabbi asked for President Trump to postpone his visit due to the funerals that needed to be covered by police for their safety. We know for a fact that funerals are sometimes confronted. These people were assassinated and the chances the funerals could become a target is a real possibility.

The Trump entourage is outrageous as well. The Kushners so Trump doesn't make a fool of himself and the Israeli Ambassador. The Israeli Ambassador just made a public statement in Jerusalem two days ago. He took a Redeye at his master's calling to be in Pittsburgh. It is disgusting. There was an Israeli official that died today and the Ambassador is not there to attend services.

I recall President Obama stating it is difficult to go to an area as President because of all the planning and security measures that need to take place. He stated it would be a burden to the people involved in such issues.

In the past, Presidents have always held their own ceremony to pay respects to the family on behalf of the country. Insisting no exposure to a tragedy was never done by other Presidents. This presidency is a disaster for the country. It doesn't reflect the best of Americans.

Trump is not uniting the American people. If anything any actions he takes divides us all the more.

Pittsburgh — Paying solemn tribute to the dead, (click here) US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump stepped into the vestibule of a Pittsburgh synagogue Tuesday to light candles for the 11 people slain in the worst instance of anti-Semitic violence in American history.

Outside the Tree of Life synagogue, the Trumps placed stones for each victim, a Jewish burial tradition, and placed small white roses just steps from where a gunman opened fire during Sabbath services Saturday and further shook a nation reeling from jarring expressions of political violence and hate.

The rabbi accompanied them and spoke at each stop, explaining and gesturing at the stars that make up the makeshift memorial....

Still yet another power play dog whistle before the election. Election day is November 6th.

Washington — The Trump administration (click here) wants the Supreme Court to postpone a trial over the decision to add a citizenship question to the 2020 census.

The request submitted to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Monday says a federal judge in New York should not move forward with a Nov. 5 trial exploring whether Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross improperly decided the census should ask about citizenship for the first time since 1950.

Last week, the justices blocked the questioning of Ross in advance of the trial, but allowed other preparations to continue.

In a partial dissent from the Supreme Court’s order, Justices Neil Gorsuch and Clarence Thomas said U.S. District Judge Jesse M. Furman should postpone the trial and await further guidance from the justices. But Furman declined to do that....

I respectfully disagree with Mr. Foxman, who is too generous in his expectations of Trump's naivete'.

Mr. Trump has closed down discussion with the people that attend his rallies. He has alienated his followers from the news media. He has also demonized the news media that exists today. Those are not the actions of a naive man.

Mr. Trump has been before the people for a long time and has been successful in coining the phrase "You're fired." as his brand. These are powerful words that reach into the pockets of his underlings by Mr. Trump. He knows exactly what he is doing.

Does he know the violence bubbling under those power words and actions he has been spewing for weeks now? Yes, the Republican Party has been courting the White Nationalists (Trump admits he is a Nationalist.) for decades. They are part of the electoral base of the Republican Party. Every time there is an election in the USA, within the last three weeks and sometimes more, the Republicans use that time to stimulate these racists to turn out their vote. They use racist slurs and disgusting dialogue to bring them to the polls.

So, it is only a vote, right? No, sir. The vote is why the White Nationalists are participating. They anticipate there will be a Republican in powerful positions to either act slowly to violent uprisings or not at all or with that those putting forth the violent uprising can overcome any police/swat, national guard or military force before them. The White Nationalists know they have to first make demands to weaken the forces that enforce domestic peace in the USA. Defunding many aspects of the federal government will do that.

In the recent outbreaks of violence toward innocent citizens, there is a racist/political component to all of them. Not only that, Bowers clearly stated in a cyberspace that had been dismantled and probably reconstructed somewhere else, he thinks Trump is a globalist and not a racist. These hate groups are used to being disappointed by the political figures they vote for and chronically seek to overcome the USA infrastructure that is in place to end such violence and protect from deaths of citizens. It is why I advocate for "self-empowerment" to defend from these killers. In my opinion, the mayors and city councils are the best government structure to ensure there are aspects to their citizens' defense, but, they do not harbor police or swat teams that can act to large numbers of armed extremists. The best example, of course, is New York City which has it's own intelligence department.

When looking across the spectrum of the White Nationalists ability to invoke a civil war, it does exist. There are significant numbers of people within these groups, they have access to weapons and as seen in Bowers and with Sayoc, they are prepared to kill. Bowers was heavily armed with military-style weapons and plenty of ammunition to kill and escape. Sayoc worked in secret and sought to undermine investigation that would lead to him, but, he was not successful.

In the case of Dylan Roof, he killed all the witnesses and walked out of the church only to be reported by others as leaving the church and an alarmed person reported his whereabouts. I point to the fact, Dylan Roof was young and within the age of many USA military troops. This culture is chronic within the USA culture. These haters know what they want and they are frequently seeking to elude law enforcement so they can kill again.

Today, in American prisons there are people organized into their gangs. That is no different for White Nationalists. Can enough White Nationalists cause a prison breakout? It is possible. Is it probable? Not today. Do outside groups see these prisoners as assets? Yes. How? The White Nationalists live inside and outside a prison. They can successfully coerce and intimidate other members and their family member outside the prison to provide the monies to make life more comfortable while they serve their time. How do they achieve such coercion? There are other White Nationalists they can kill within the prisons, so death threats to family and friends work. Does the USA prison system seek to end this danger? Yes. Is it completely successful? No. The effort to disarm these hate groups within a prison system is a daily routine.

So, Mr. Foxman while a gentleman and optimist sees Donald Trump as naive. He is not. He is President of the USA and has all this information in front of him, even warnings from Homeland Security about hate groups. Mr. Trump knows what he is doing and whom the victims will be. Mr. Trump counts on gentlemen like Mr. Foxman to avoid detection of his political ruthlessness.

By David Horovitz

The child of Polish Jews (click here) who survived the Holocaust when taken in by his Catholic nanny, Abraham Foxman has spent his American life fighting anti-Semitism, chiefly as the national director of the Anti-Defamation League, from 1987 to 2015.

I’ve known him for many years. Speaking to him on Tuesday, with the Shabbat massacre in Pittsburgh raw and horrifying, hours ahead of the first funerals, I’ve never seen him so distraught. “Shocked but not surprised,” as he put it....

...Foxman, 78, stresses that anti-Semitism has “always been there” in America. He stresses, too, that Donald Trump is not an anti-Semite. But, says Foxman, carefully and fiercely, “he is part of the problem.”

“Pittsburgh is not Trump. It’s also Trump,” he says. By this, he explains, he means that a consequence of Trump’s ideology, unforeseen by the president, is the triggering of bigotry and the emboldening of extremists like Pittsburgh killer Robert Bowers. “I don’t think he sees it. I don’t think he understands it,” says Foxman of Trump.

Far from opposing Trump going to Pittsburgh, Foxman is adamant that of course the president must go. “I want him to come to Pittsburgh. I wanthim to go to the funerals. I want him to see the pain of what he didn’t do but his words helped create,” said Foxman. And he wants Trump, in Pittsburgh, to say what? Foxman pauses, then replies: “That the language of divide and conquer will undermine who we are — our safety, our democracy, our freedom. That words are serious. That I understand that words unintended can have very dangerous consequences — as happened in Pittsburgh… That people use these words and abuse them, and I will now respect those words because I know they have consequences. He’s capable of that.”

But for all his determined optimism, Foxman plainly doubts it. “He’s a demagogue,” he repeats several times of the president.

A threat to American democracy? I ask him. “Yes. And anything that threatens American democracy sure as hell threatens Jews.”

Jamaica is a colony of the British government. The Brits need to realize their colony is out of control.

In a dark laundry room (click here) at a Jamaican Sandals resort, pinned to the floor by a hotel lifeguard, a Michigan teenage girl lay paralyzed with fear as the man bit her lip and raped her, violently robbing her virginity.

When her mother found her after the assault, trembling and holding herself in a hallway, the 17-year-old couldn't speak. She could only point to a metal door.

Behind the door, her friend was being gang-raped by three resort lifeguards.

This is the Jamaica that the U.S. State Department has repeatedly warned tourists about. This is the island paradise that the government says has a pervasive sexual assault problem, the place where two Detroit women were raped in September, and an estimated one American is raped each month.

Over the last seven years, 78 U.S. citizens have been raped in Jamaica according to State Department statistics from 2011-17. The victims include: A mentally handicapped woman in her 20s; an Indiana mother gang-raped by three Cuban soccer players in a resort bathroom stall; a 20-year-old woman raped by two men in her hotel; two Detroit mothers raped at gunpoint in their room; a Kent County teenager and her 21-year-old friend, gang-raped by lifeguards in a locked laundry room at the resort where they were staying....

As long as Trump loves to label people here is one for him, Racist Treasonist.

President Donald Trump (click here) said in an interview that he plans to sign an executive order ending "birthright citizenship" for the children of non-American citizens who are born on U.S. soil, a move that would likely be challenged immediately in the courts over its constitutionality.

"It was always told to me that you needed a constitutional amendment. Guess what? You don't," Trump told "Axios on HBO" in an interview set to air Sunday, just two days before the midterm election. "You can definitely do it with an act of Congress. But now they're saying I can do it just with an executive order."...

One of the things within his power is to round up all the Russian Birth Tourism in his hotels and put them in a tent city and take their children when they are born, then confiscate their passports and visas and deport them to Russia in the name of USA national security.

How long does this lying and scare tactics go on!

Leprosy is no longer called leprosy. It is "Hansen's Disease." It is contained primarily to Asia and Africa where there are moist climates. It is occasionally found in the USA, about 100 cases per year and it completely curable.

This form of scare tactic is racism and it is disgusting!

Donald Trump is directly responsible for the increase in violence in the United States.

Why?

Simple. The Republicans are RELIANT on the votes of extremist groups, including Plutocrats. They cater their elections to extremists, including every hate group in the country. They speak out their pledges in every election. That is EXACTLY what Trump is doing. He has no control over the hate groups he courts as they have their own agenda that do not include loyalty to Trump or any other Republican. Every time a Republican invokes "the hate" speech, the votes for that candidate goes up.

Donald Trump is a puppet to hate groups. If the strings were cut he would collapse. Well, now that he is out pushing his voters to the polls in 2018 he is seeing the results of the DAILY DIET of hate speech in the USA. Americans die. Wonderful and eloquent Americans die. The best of the American people die. THAT is a very interesting realization in that if the USA were to lose it's leadership of one kind or another what happens to sovereignty? Can a President like Trump, a known racist that is more than willing to give up his seat in the White House to embark on a poison campaign of the CHARACTER of the USA bring down the country to suit Russia's aspirations globally?

The Supreme Court has "W"rongly named the USA Dollar a citizen. The capacity of a President like Trump is unlimited if enough immoral people continue to back his presidency.

There has to be a limit to political speech and when it invokes racism, hate and/or violence it crosses the border between legal and illegal. We know the power of political speech and when it crosses the border of "danger" it needs to be a hate crime and culpable for death.

We already hold responsible people online or otherwise, that speak a person into suicide. That is exactly the paradigm that occurs in mass shooting prompted by political speech. Germany already recognizes, on the social level, hate speech and there is a political consequence for that. With the rise of the right in Germany, there is a level of social structure that has been assaulted, My guess is Russia and it's intelligence agents that are working on breaking down MORAL content in the social networks of a country.

Is Trump a treasonist? You betcha he is and he knows exactly what he is doing no different than any other Republican that invokes racism and hate speech. He doesn't care. He. Does. Not. Care. People died and now he is using those deaths and injuries to further his campaigning for the 2018 elections. By the way, it is a heck of a way to carry out his 2020 election research at the cost of the American people as taxpayers and as citizens once alive before he drove his hate voters to their guns.

Small Pox? Who is the political moron saying the migrants will bring Small Pox?

Small Pox was declared eradicated globally by the WHO in 1980! The last diagnosis was in 1977!

The type of vaccines the migrants will need if staying in the USA are the same vaccines any American has received as a method of staying alive such as the meningitis vaccine. Jerks!

Does anyone know if Pol Pot has been reincarnated? I think we found him.
At the front of the temple with Rabbi Jeffery Myers were women. There was a time in the Jewish Faith when women were not allowed anywhere. They are now Rabbis themselves. They are Rabbis in Reformed congregations, Conservative congregations and yes, even the occasional Orthodox congregation (I have witnessed it in the USA.).

The Jewish faith is a beautiful faith and it loves the people. All the people. One of the pillars of the Jewish faith is the community and that is never more evident today as it is realized in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is a beautiful community and it is missing 11 members that will be remembered forever by them.

Andrew Gillum is highly sought after for endorsements by newspaper editors and many, many others.

Democratic (click here) gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum has landed the endorsement of the Miami Herald.

“The tenacity, political smarts and commitment to public service that propelled this Tallahassee mayor to victory from the bottom of the pack of better-known candidates in August’s Democratic primary speak volumes,” writes the editorial board.

“We think that each quality will serve him well as he likely confronts and negotiates with a Republican-dominated Legislature.”...

I remember when he took the Democratic nomination and I thought, "Who is Andrew Gillum?" I read about his time in the Mayor's seat in Tallahassee and I immediately liked him. He is very interested in the quality of life of the people. That is governance. The quality of life of the people improved under his leadership and I still like him a lot today. The Democratic Party is lucky to have a man interested in governance. He is a great leader. He sets a standard Florida needs and the country for that matter.

Go, Andrew Gillum, Go!
I want to say something about Obamacare, besides the fact it saves lives. I read the bill from cover to cover and then it was consolidated with the Senate bill. I didn’t read the updated edition, although I wanted to.

The authors knew the first two years would be a drag on the entire industry when it came to profits. That is why the expanded Medicaid program was so heavily subsidized by the federal government those first two years. Why? Because of so many uninsured Americans.

Obamacare provided for an annual free physical every year. In that, we know through experience that the socioeconomic barriers to care are real. So, these folks could be really sick and need significant care. It was estimated that in two years time most everyone in America would be optimally well. It impacted the cost curve. Now, optimally well is a strange concept and doesn’t mean every American was going to be competing for a place on the Olympic team.

Optimally well means that the Americans that finally had healthcare, wanted it and used it would, after two years BE KNOWN to the healthcare industry through updated doctor and/or hospital records. In that first two years the cost of future healthcare markets were fairly well estimated. Nothing wrong with that. It meant we knew the overall health of the country, the demographics and what the future was looking like for the country. One might recall the reporting statistics to the HHS Secretary.

Obamacare went live in 2014. Two years later in 2016, the future costs could be guesstimated. In the case of Aetna; the company hung in there through 2017 and the CEO it is fair to say was frustrated with Obamacare and the uncertain future of state exchanges. The CEO by the end of 2017 could then see his way forward and made changes where he had to. That is what was suppose to happen and today Aetna and Obamacare get along better.

So, it worked. And even today with all the political monkey business Obamacare is still working hard for Americans and the insurers

That is all I wanted to reflect on. Just a reminder that when Americans make up their minds to carry out a moral directive, it is a good thing.

Obamacare is socialism?

Then what are all those private Wall Street companies doing running it? This is obscene profits for a healthcare company. $1.2 billion in profit for the FOURTH QUARTER of 2017.

There needs to be a law that returns a percentage of those monies to the insured members to lower premiums. This is obscene in realizing this is health care. Shame on them.

This is NOT socialism. This is capitalism at it's worse. That is just disgusting. If not to lower premiums, then subsidize hospitals to assist their costs or need for new equipment like an MRI. They do something for health care. Either improve the hospital services or provide lower premiums. If I remember right, Anthem has a really large enrollment, something like 888,000 people. Now some are children with families, but, $1.2 billion and leaving a modest profit margin, that would be a reduction for the next quarter of about a dollar per person. It would be better if all the member hospitals received stipends requiring it to benefit the quality of patient care.

I am fairly sure Anthem is Blue Cross, Blue Shield.

Profit soared by 234 percent to $1.2 billion (click here) in Anthem's fourth quarter, compared to $368 million for the same period last year, according to the insurer's earnings report Wednesday.

Full year 2017 financial results were also strong. Anthem reported a 55 percent increase in net profits year-over-year of $3.84 billion, compared to $2.47 billion in 2016....

Aetna did well, but, it's CEO stated it would lose money on Obamacare and it would exit the plans at the end of 2017. So, let's see if the CEO lost money by the end of 2017.

Aetna Inc reported a higher-than-expected quarterly profit on Thursday as member health costs were lower than anticipated and it benefited from exiting most of its Obamacare individual insurance markets this year.

Shares of Aetna rose 2.5 percent to $158.54, helped by stronger results not only for individual insurance but also in its small and large business division and in its government-backed Medicaid and Medicare segments. The company raised its full-year earnings outlook....

I'll be darn, tragedy did not occur at Aetna. And guess what, Aetna still participates in Healthcare Exchanges except in some western states where they are chocked off by the insurance commissioner. See, that is the real issue, not the Obamacare healthcare program, but, the INDIVIDUAL STATE COMMISSIONERS and how they limit the attractiveness of the exchanges. It is politics, not health care.

Hartford,–Aetna (NYSE: AET) announced fourth-quarter 2017 (click here) net income of $244 million, or $0.74 per share. Adjusted earnings for fourth-quarter 2017 were $411 million, or $1.25 per share. Full-year 2017 net income was $1.9 billion, or $5.68 per share. Full-year 2017 adjusted earnings were $3.3 billion, or $9.86 per share.

“Aetna’s strong 2017 results demonstrate the power and versatility of our core businesses,” said Mark T. Bertolini, Aetna chairman and CEO. “As we progress toward completing our pending transaction with CVS Health, we remain focused on serving our members and delivering on our strategic and financial objectives. We are confident that the combined entity will deliver a better health care experience by improving access to affordable health care and coordination of health services in communities across the country....

This is Aetna's healthcare website. (click here) It provided an agenda for the company. Look close:

"Healthcare Reform"

Encourage competition
Promote innovation
Make health care more affordable

Strengthening Medicare and other health programs
Improving tax policy
Expanding provider collaborations
Improving care through health information technology

We are committed to helping you understand the impact of the ACA. passed in 2010, the law says in part:

Almost everyone must get health insurance.
Nobody can be turned down.
People can buy a health plan in a new way: on a state or federal exchange.
In some cases, the government may help pay for health coverage.
Larger employers must provide health insurance or pay a penalty.
Small employers can buy coverage on the health insurance exchanges.

The best part is at the bottom of that e-page.

So, it seems as though Aetna with it's doom and gloom CEO forecast, in 2018 is still proud to be a part of Obamacare. I'll be darn.

I am not going to go through every healthcare company in the country. These are two examples of large companies and they are doing far better than okay, they are doing great. And, by the way, this proves unequivocally Obamacare is here to stay.
