Putin and Trump’s meeting - What no talk of Snowden or Assamge?

Putin interview:

Chris Wallace conducted an excellent interview. Mr. Wallace was very forthright and unafraid to ask the sensitive questions.

I think Mr. Putin thanked the lower level staff leading up to this meeting/summit to lecture Trump about how negotiations and meetings between countries take place.

Mr. Wallace mentioned the concept of “The Big Picture” that would cause such a meeting with Russia. After thanking his staff, Vladimir Putin turned to terrorism and Syria. I am not surprised President Putin believes terrorism is a huge issue even though The West is not overwhelmed by it. Places or better said countries that Russia deals with are more chaotic, more impoverished, lack significant organization of their government. That is also true of China. As a rule the USA allies are more sophisticated because the USA and its private sector invests in them and educates them and then helps them build an arsenal to protect their people and assists in intelligence for their national security and ultimately USA national security as well.

In the case of Russia, it finds itself among countries facing danger to their people and government that they are uncertain how to handle. The issue with terrorism still looms large with Putin because of Daesh. When the attacks from Daesh first occurred it was profound shock and astonishment this was occurring at all. The Iraq War had mostly wound down and while there were still issues such as death squads, but, the bigger picture of war was believed to be over. It was thought al Qarda was mostly defeated in the region except for some remnants in places like Libya. When Daesh manifested out of nowhere with a leader that came out of a USA war prison the region was fatigued by the Iraq invasion and war.

Daesh presented itself as a global threat to Muslim countries because its leader promised a Calaphate and the Charismatic Movement was born. In many of the countries targeted by the charasmatic Daesh the ability to handle such a threat was absent and Russia itself was at risk. Russia stepped up to help lead intelligence for the defeat of Daesh. One country in particular Russia was allied to was Syria. Southern Iraq had Iran to provide soldiers and munitions and military leadership. Other Arab nations in the region stepped up their counter-terrorism efforts and Holy Men throughout the Muslim world began to educate their flocks about a false profit. In some ways I think The West lacks the appreciation of the. pain and trauma of those years. It was no longer an invasion of the USA but of a stranger that used the Muslim religion as the basis of his power.

So in a war mostly forgot by The West, that is not the case with most countries in the Middle East including Turkey and to it’s northeast and across the Black Sea, Russia.

So, to a greater extent Russian is still mired in a bigger picture that still includes terrorism. Now some of this is real and most of it in relation to Syria is an excuse for continued killing. But, when Russia may approach Assad as a member of the UN Security Council about the deaths in Syria, Assad points to rebels but also the remnants of Daesh and what is Russia suppose to say? In fact, there are still remnants of Daesh in southern Syria and Assad is terrified of ending his civil war for legitimate fears of a return of the regime. There are other countries in the region that handles the continued threats of Daesh differently, namely Jordan and Iraq, but, they have the USA as an ally or had been strengthened by the USA in the rule of law, courts and sentencing such elements and in particular Iraq. Saudi Arabia has no problem dealing with these criminal elements either. But, when it comes to Syria, it is Russia and a depleted Russia due to sanctions that it turns to. And why is that the case? Because if Assad turned to The West he would be at The Hague in no time at all.

So, to Putin the big picture is still terrorism when it comes to national security.

He also mentioned the START Treaty coming up in six years in 2024. Evidently, Russia’s Putin does not want a return to the years of “W” and a memo stating “The USA sees no reason to keep the START Treaty” as “W” did with the ABM Treaty. It is safe to say Putin is tired of the unexpected threat that manifests from Republicans that trash such agreements that have been in place for 30 years. So, if Putin can put a billionaire with lots of needs for loans and the expansionism of capitalism into Russia into the Oval Office then the existential threat of losing all his nuclear treaties will come to an end.

I am going to take a break because I want to watch MSNBC for awhile. I will write more later. I thank Mr. Wallace for an excellent interview.

The president of Russia didn’t think the USA should have left the Iran agreement because it was a good agreement. Putin stated Trump was important in the North Koran talks. Putin is interested in ending sanctions and returning to sales to the USA. He stated Russia and the USA should not be interested in fighting each other as there are better ways to settle differences.

At first Putin denied the involvement of Russian GRU agents attempted hacking any server to effect USA elections. Eventually he admitted the government of Russia was involved but simply handed over hacked emails and documents of any kind to be published on Wikileaks BUT justified such action by stating no documents or emails were changed. Everything was published to the world for scrutiny without any changes. Chris Wallace pressed Putin for answers and Putin continued to state he should have more patience as his answer was coming. It was Wallace that finally got him to admit there was hacking bhut no false information was planted to effect the election. It appeared as though Putin actually believed so long as the emails were only as they were written there was no crime committed.

Yes, Mr. Wallace the Russian President believes he did the USA electorate a favor with Wikileaks. Amazingly he appears to be  considering all Russian action inside or outside the government innocent. Putin has no sense of privacy or equity. Amazing. That is why it is called Russian interference because they don’t care to understand the laws of the USA. Putin and his military intelligence officers never bothered to realize Snowden can’t come back to the USA.or that Assamge is stuck in the Equadorian Embassy in London. I think Putin knew perfectly well what he was doing and faintly the hacked emails in any way would be detected and then considered ineffective.

Russia seems to say it is innocent of favoritism because it only knew Trump as a rich guy before he ran for president.

Look, Trump is committing unspeakable crimes against the USA when he stated the treaty with NATO is destabilizing. But, the subject was not brought up with Putin. That is a lie. That is exactly Putin’s point of view and why he is engaged in war in Ukraine. The complaint by Trump is about money not the additional security NATO brings.

The issue of Raqqa came because of the merciless bombing of the Daesh capital. The problem with the bombing of Raqqa is that the USA did its damage with bombs as well. So, to determine responsibility for the deaths UN inspectors have to find evidence. There is question as to the possibility of finding that evidence.

Russia puts the blame on the Daesh that used innocent people as human shields.

Russia has been claiming Crimea was not an annexation, but, the people decided in free and open elections. It is known for a fact there was widespread fraud. It is highly questionable whether it is possible to have elections after such a hostile election. Those were not UN Peacekeepers that entered Crimea.

Mr. Wallace brought up a video of a new class of Russian missles of which flew over Florida and land on Mara-a-lack, a favotite retreat for the President. Putin contested the video as landing on Mar-a-lago so much as flying over Florida. He never denied it as an official act of the Russian government.

Putin brought up the unilateral withdrawal of USA from the ABM treaty. 2003 and 2004. He had no response from our American counter parts regarding the ABM Treaty. Evidently, Putin wants Trump around when START comes due in 2021. That is interesting because Trump has stated he will be re-elected in 2021.

Putin did not rule out becoming a member of NATO, but, as a real man would not change as others have once they became members of NATO. No doubt he is referring to the Post-Soviet countries.

Putin states murders of political figures is a matter of history referring to Kennedy and the conflict of police and the killing of unarmed black men. Unfortunately that is an issue for the USA. The mass killings in Orlando had that tone as well. A black man was singled out for mercy by the gunman because he was black. Now communist countries are using the issue to justify their own killings of innocent people within their borders.

Novichok- Putin made really silly statements like he doesn’t know the last name of the victims. States they are unknown to him and the methods were ridiculous as if a major power would use perfume bottles and the like - that is not the Russian way.

Putin stated when sanctions were levied the USA companies left Russia but were immediately replaced with competing countries. So Russia feels no pain. I doubt that, but, if Putin can go to Panama to find wealth his countrymen cannot, what does he care.

end

July 25, 2017 the US House passed a bipartisan measure to limit Donald Trump from lifting any Russia sanctions. I find it strange if that changes. The vote in 2017 was 419-3.

CNN is stating some of the most powerful Republicans in Congress are speaking out against President Trump.

CNN - 1700 - “The people that surround Trump are afraid to tell him not to do these type of things (meeting with Russia’s Putin).” Well, I think they need to re-examine their values. That is not necessarily the case either. The Trump Chief of Staff, John Kelly told Trump not to call Putin to congratulate him on his re-election. Trump ignored the advise and called Putin anyway. So, the idea people that surround Trump are afraid to criticize him is more of an excuse and I don’t accept that as fact. I think the staff finds it easier to simply accept a paycheck, do as they are told and stay out of Trump’s way.

Rand Paul has to be one of the worst statesman in the country. He thinks it is good to dialogue with Russia so the USA doesn’t stumble into war. Rand Paul is a jerk. He likes to inflame the situation to get attention. Next week he will change his mind after he received enough attention to stay in the news and get free publicity.

NPR - Republicans are critical of Trump’s performance in Moscow with words like; “Disgraceful,” “Push Over,” and “Deeply Troubled.” Democratic leaders are questioning whether the Russians have damaging information about Trump.

Well,Trump and Putin met for two hours. There were absolutely no tweets from Trump. I want to know how many papers he signed during those two hours. I also want to know how many US Navy ships were harassed by Russians today. What occurred in Ukraine this week because of spineless Trump.

I apologize for not knowing all the hosts on Fox News, but, I think it was Bret Bairer that had an interview with Former Georgian President Mikheil Saskashvili. It was excellent. The Georgian President really made me proud to be an American. He called Putin evil. He stated Vladimir Putin has killed many people and groups of people. The Former Georgian President set the picture of Vladimir Putin straight. The really wonderful aspect of that interview is the Former Georgian President looked wonderful, spoke fluently in English and he was unafraid to point out the folly of befriending Putin. He was very insightful.

I want to know what Mr. Benczkowski is doing in the DOJ. I want his activities transparent especially in meddling with the Mueller investigations and I expect he will never be in touch with Alpha Bank in his current position as a federal employee in a sensitive position.
There is little to be said after the statement from US Senator John McCain regarding the reckless trip by President Trump this past week.

It sincerely hurts to have a US President symbolically surrender to communism.

I think it is important to state there is little chance for Russia to return to it’s status as it once was as a member of the G8. There is a long way to go for Russia to regain any standing with The West, especially after today.

Continued from below...

Oh, it has a title Helsinki 2018:

The FBI did take the Clinton server. The servers are not the issue when it comes to the Russian hacking . Trump is lying. The Russians hacker into the DNC, the DCCC and election rolls. The one thing the Russian military hackers did not or was not able to do was change the vote count. In other words there was no Russian military stuffing the ballot box. Stuffing the US electronic ballot box has yet to be perfected by the Russians.

Putin may not have known Trump and other visitor traffic in Moscow from day to day, but, Russian intelligence would.

Trump was evasive in the news conference and I doubt seriously there was any discussion of the Russian military hackers and the request by him to conduct that hacking. I have yet to see any offer by Trump to open the Trump campaign servers and the servers to the RNC to allow equity to exist. Trump benefitted from the hacking into the Democratic emails, so, why not open up his emails and private server to balance the disadvantage now into the future.

Going into the future I suppose there can be stronger security measures to campaigns, but, when it comes to government invasion, such as happened in 2016, there is no equity to exposure by the candidates. If such election cyber attacks results in exposure of one candidate and that candid does not denounce the attack and uses that exposure to his or her benefit then a lawsuit to expose that candidates emails should proceed. Such invasion of campaign and candidate privacy needs to end and that won’t happen until it becomes a disadvantage to do so.

Trump during his campaign asked the Russian military to find 30,000 emails from the Clinton server that were considered personal in nature and erased by the Clinton attornies. The Russian military accommodated him. This was in addition to the Russian cyber invasion on Facebook and other social media like “My Space” to change the political dialogue within the USA.

On this blog are facts about election of 2016 issues including the Clinton server. Initially when Secretary Clinton fell under attack by the political right wing for the use of a private server in the home of a former President, the Clinton lawyers went to work to find any and all emails related to her service as Secretary of State. These emails were intermingled with personal emails regarding a variety of topics including Chelsea’s wedding.

The number of emails provided to the government by the Clinton household was substantial. I don’t recall the exact number, it is on the blog. When Hillary Clinton stated all but 30,000 emails that were personal in nature had been turned over there was a big fuss by the US political right wing the Clinton server was taken by the FBI. The FBI was able to extract some more emails, but, I don’t think they were of any consequence. Best to my knowledge they weren’t made public as the others were.

I remind those reading this that there were no real laws regarding servers and emails and where those emails where written. Those regs were written by President Obama in an Executive Order to provide protocols within his administration. About a year or so later Congress began their process to write regs for the federal government. “W” didn’t like computers or emails. President Obama was the first US President to drive into electronic communications on a regular basis and on a Blackberry no less.

Candidate Clinton took a horrible brow beating over her emails and Benghazi when she nor anyone within her staff or private lawyers or affiliations with DNC ever were charged with wrong. Donal Trump can never say the same thing.

President Trump during his news conference enthusiastically pointed to Putin’s offer to have Russians  evaluate the evidence regarding the charges of his military hackers. That is not an issue as soon as all Russians charged appear before the USA court to make a pleading.

later.

Fox News needs a reset button.

There is no such thing as a Trump derangement syndrome.

The words never spoken at Fox (Fix It) News:

Ukraine

Novichok

British death caused from Novichok poisoning

Non-proliferation Treaty

There are more than two nuclear powers

Human Rights Violation leading to Genocide by taking children away from their parents at the US southern border

NASA is already a space force. The idea there can be lazers firing at will in space by the good guys at the bad guys is not possible in a vacuum. Let me try to use language Fox News understands:

Clint Eastwood as Dirty Harry fires his gun at a Russian astronaut πŸ‘©‍πŸš€ in orbit around Earth at the International Space Station. Where would the bullet go and at what speed? And what if the Russian astronaut realizes Dirty Harry fired his gun and moved away from the bullet’s path with his retrojets on his backpack πŸŽ’? Got the picture? It isn’t very realistic, except in cartoons now is it?

The idea of having lazers as a war mongers ultimate weapon orbiting Earth as a weapon controlled by war mongers will never happen. These so called ultimate weapons can be displaced out of orbit by rockets that exist today. A Space Force is a fools errand.

Ronald Reagan initiated the ideology of a Star Wars weapon to explode nuclear weapons before they can kill and destroy. That has never worked. The only thing that has worked are land and sea based radar that triangulates to detect incoming missiles to INTERCEPT them before they could do their damage.

The so called witch hunt for Russians that effected the 2016 is proven not to be a witch hunt. USA πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ INTELLIGENCE has proof of the cyber war on the 2016 elections. End of discussion. President Trump will continue to call THE FACTS found by USA intelligence a witch hunt because otherwise he would have to admit there was an illegal and dangerous enemy at work that actually effected the 2016 elections. If Trump actually stood by USA intelligence the question would arise to the legitimacy of his occupation of the Executive Branch.

Today, Trump’s rush to negotiations with North Korea has completely failed. The soldier remains of the Korean War are not coming back to the USA and North Korea has ended communication with the USA because the DEFINITION of denuclearization is at opposite ends of the spectrum of these two countries. Trump was wrong to move from lower level talks to the highest level agreement. I mean a CD of Elton John’s “Rocket Man?” Really?

Trump’s idea of diplomacy is defined by a world tour and not sincere policy victories. I wonder if Trump is going to open himself to discussion and policy to the climate crisis. Russia under Putin was a signatory to Kyoto Protocols. Russia has profound impacts from the climate crisis. 50,000 Russians dead from wildfires and that is only the beginning.

The USA πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ does not need to have close relationships with communists countries in order for them to participate in international agreements. Russia is a partner with Iran talks and agreements, talks with North Korea, the Non-proliferation treaty, innumerable number of treaties through it’s United Nations membership and trade relations that are not sanctions.

The idea Russia somehow NEEDS a good relationship with The West in order to be a world power is pure propaganda. Russia does not need hand holding to participate in world affairs. Russia is one of the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council; Russia stands alone as a global power.

There is no reason for this so called Summit except that Trump wants to remove sanctions from Russia to allow the Trump Organization and secondly Wall Street access for exploration of Russian land and people. I mean if Russian workers can produce Ivanka’s jewelry at less cost, why not?

The USA πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ and Russia have many differences. That won’t change by the fact the governments are very different. There are also PEOPLE in former Soviet states that do not want to be reabsorbed into a new Soviet nation. There are countries standing the line with them, namely The West. That is important and the idea Trump is proping the door open to Russia to become a threat again to Europe and the post Soviet states is simply being a traitor to allies and the vulnerable. It is completely inappropriate for a USA president to allow any shadow of a doubt where alliances stand.

Trump has tried to meet Putin and have his undivided attention (for an hour) for more than a decade. It has taken a propaganda summit to achieve that goal. The propaganda summit is even possible because Russians want to overthrow the USA πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ democracy from the inside. Russia opts for internal disruption of the USA πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ because confronting the USA πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ military is not likely to have the outcome Putin desires.

Vladimir Putin has violated most of the treaties he has entered with The West.

King Abdullah of Jordan met with Putin in February 2017. De-escalation in southern Syrian was never agreed upon by Putin at that meeting. Creating political conditions was agreed upon. Those political conditions in southern Syria have not manifested yet primarily because the USA πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ has 2000 troops working with the Free Syrian Army. Also, there are some traces of Daesh in southern Syria.

I am taking a beak; Fox News fatigue.
