I listen to reports of all the yarns spun in the political right wing and I have to wonder how they can justify their stories.

I don't know why Mr. Guiliani is even involved. If he backed Trump during his campaign I suppose this could be an end run around any involvement. But, the hush money to Ms. Clifford didn't occur until a few days before the election.

Mr. Guiliani doesn't bother to acknowledge the fact Ms. Clifford has proof of what she alleges. And as far as the firing of James Comey, what the heck is Guiliani doing backing up Trump when in less than 12 hours the Russians were in the Oval Office picking up classified documents.

I am very surprised Mr. Guiliani is involved at all, quite frankly.

What's that you say?

More than 50 years ago, (click here) a shepherd found seven scrolls in the Qumran Caves in the Judean desert of the West Bank, near the Dead Sea.

The findings formed a larger manuscript which have been come to be known as the Dead Sea Scrolls.

The papers contain Biblical and non-Biblical stories and have offered scientists a glimpse into the past and shed new light on Abrahamic religions.

Now, experts are using NASA’s technology to give a fresh insight into the historic texts....

On a sad not and unrelated to the scrolls; there were ten young Israeli people lost when the Dead Sea experienced a flash flood. They were camping there. Greatest sympathy to Israel, family and friends of these dearly loved people.

The death toll from flash floods (click here) that hit a group of teenage hikers in southern Israel Thursday rose from nine to 10 after a body found overnight was identified as the last missing teen Friday morning. Meanwhile, the two Palestinian children also died from flooding in the West Bank. A tractor driver declared missing was located Friday overnight....

Rev. Pat Conroy is still US House of Representative Chaplin. Thank you.

Dear Speaker Ryan:

As you know, (click here) by letter of April 15, 2018, I tendered my resignation of the position of Chaplain of the United States House of Representatives (hereinafter "House Chaplain") to you, effective May 24, 2018. At this time, and upon advice of counsel, I hereby retract and rescind said resignation for the reasons that follow.

I was elected as House Chaplain on May 25, 2011, and I have honorably served in that role since that time. I was re-elected House Chaplain in every succeeding Congress. I have never been disciplined, nor reprimanded, nor have I ever heard a complaint about my ministry during my time as House Chaplain. It is my desire to continue to serve as House Chaplain in this 115th United States Congress to the end of my current two-year term, and beyond,· unless my services are officially terminated (however that is properly done) or I am not re-elected to the position by the membership of the House....

Never in my life have I witnessed such mistreatment of a Catholic Priest in the United States of America. Rev. Conroy always has guest speakers from every religion. He is a magnificent spiritual leader and should be valued for the noral guidance he brings in prayer that comes with such responsibility.

This should never happen again. I thank Rev. Conroy for his dedication to this country and his steadfast beliefs that the poor have a place of dignity within these borders.

I hope it sells at auction for far more than $200,000.

It must be a wonderful feeling to be able to give such a gift to Pope Francis.

This handout photo taken on November 15, 2017 at the Vatican and released by the Vatican press office, Osservatore Romano shows Pope Francis signing a Lamborghini Huracan received as a gift as Lamborghini CEO Stefano Domenicali (2ndR) looks on.

The famously frugal Pope Francis (click here) is probably the last person one would expect to drive a $200,000 sports car. In fact, the one sitting in the Vatican garage has never been driven since the Holy Father received it as a gift late last year.

Shortly after executives from Lamborghini presented the pope with a special edition Lamborghini Huracan, painted in white with yellow racing stripe to match the Vatican flag, the Vatican announced that the car would be sold at auction, with all proceeds going to charity.

The 570-horse power car comes with a papal blessing and the pope’s signature on the hood. Flashy, in an understated way, the Huracan boasts “diamond-finished 20-in. Giano wheels covering Nero calipers,” Bianco Leda Sportivo leather [trim], with Lamborghini crests adorning the headrests.”

According to Sotheby’s which is offering the car for sale on May 12, proceeds from the sale of the Lamborghini will go to “a quartet of deserving charities all near and dear to Pope Francis’ heart.”...
