Mr. Christopher Krebs is going to need his job at Microsoft back at least for a couple of months until President-Elect Joe Biden takes office.

I thank Mr. Krebs for helping with the security of the 2020 elections.

How dare they toy with the American democracy.

Wayne County is certified. (click here)

Every American in this country who voted did so with great concern and peril. Some stood hours in line, sometimes 11 hours if necessary. They wore masks. They braved a dangerous virus. They planned their vote and went through great pains to be sure their mail-in/absentee votes were mailed correctly with a USPS that was sabotaged by Trump.

This election is more of a victory by the people than any other votes in modern history. The country has a huge right to be proud of their votes. They were magnificent.

Additionally, the judges involved in hearing the complaints in every state in this country have handled themselves magnificently. The judges listened. They were interested in the integrity of the election.

Everyone in this country, tonight, has every reason to be proud of themselves, their friends and neighbors, their families, and the system of justice.

We are a great country.

We are more than a great country, we are a great democracy and as to Ben Franklin, we have been able to keep it.

Today, President-Elect Biden is talking to strategic partners to improve the outcomes for the national security of the USA and our allies. In the case of India, China will have to rethink it's aggression as well as that of Pakistan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi (click here) on Tuesday spoke to the United States President-elect Joe Biden on Tuesday and discussed the ways to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic, in addition to reaffirming commitment to India-US cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region...

There is no reason to hold up the certification of the vote in Wayne County.

The complaints of Trump poll watchers were along racial lines stating, "They were wearing Black Lives Matter T-shirts." Every complaint was heard by a judge and was dismissed because there was no evidence to uphold any objections and/or the objections were frivolous. Primarily, they were racist.

The Wayne County Board of Canvassers (click here) deadlocked 2-2 Tuesday along party lines on whether the county's Nov. 3 election results should be certified as at least four state and federal lawsuits sought to stop the process.

The decision came after a number of absentee ballot poll books in Detroit were found to be out of balance, a situation that did not stop the same board from certifying the results in the August primary or the county's November 2016 general election results.

A county board that fails to canvass within 14 days after the election must give all of its documentation to the Secretary of State's office and Board of State Canvassers, which then has 10 days to complete the work, canvass and certify the results, according to the board’s canvassing manual....

There were similar complaints about poll books made by the GOP during the primary. The votes from the primary were certified.

...Detroit Clerk Janice Winfrey, (click here) whose office didn't respond to multiple requests for comment, has tied the problems to increases in absentee voting, veteran election workers not showing up during the COVID-19 pandemic and other workers being on the job for more than 20 hours.

There are security precautions for absentee ballots, such as checking signatures on them, that can be done before Election Day, said Aghogho Edevbie, Michigan director for the voting rights group All Voting Is Local. While Edevbie said he's concerned about the processes used in Detroit's primary, he said he doesn't think something nefarious went on.

"The essential integrity of the process was not breached," he said.

The GOP allegations come as the eyes of the nation could be on Detroit this fall amid record absentee voting and criticism from President Donald Trump about mail-in voting. Trump won Michigan by 10,704 votes in 2016, his closest margin of victory nationally....

NATO opposes withdrawal of USA troops from Afghanistan.

Typical of Trump, he is making unilateral decisions regarding the USA military.

Afghanistan (click here) could once again become a haven for international terrorist organizations that seek to harm Western countries if foreign forces leave too abruptly, the head of NATO said Tuesday in a rare rebuke of U.S. policy, following reports that the Trump administration would withdraw thousands of troops from the country.

“We now face a difficult decision. We have been in Afghanistan for almost 20 years, and no NATO ally wants to stay any longer than necessary,” NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said in a statement. “But at the same time, the price for leaving too soon or in an uncoordinated way could be very high.”

“Afghanistan risks becoming once again a platform for international terrorists to plan and organize attacks on our homelands,” he said. “And ISIS could rebuild in Afghanistan the terror caliphate it lost in Syria and Iraq,” Stoltenberg added, referring to the Islamic State militant group....

President-Elect Joe Biden...

...will no doubt seek to re-engage Iran and the Accords that provided a postponement of any nuclear weapon capacity of Iran. Donald John Trump will not jeopardize that peaceful path.

The problem with the Trump administration is that he has never provided for escalation of tensions when acting aggressively against another power. This is exactly the issue with Iran.

Iran was provided a choice with Trump, abandon completely the Iran Nuclear Accords and proceed as before to perfect a nuclear weapon or hope a partial membership to the Accords was sufficient to continue a peaceful path. With the continued assault of sanctions by Trump on Iran the outcome was inevitable that Iran would return to nuclear proliferation because it no longer made sense to continue with a partial member relationship.

Today, Trump’s unilateral punishing of Iran has reached the point he longed for the entire time, Iranian violations that provide for aggression by Trump.

The War Powers Act comes into play because this is not a surprise and/or a threat that is immediate. Trump has instigated the failure of the Iran Accords and it is now up to the US Congress to decide any policy with Iran including a potential war. Enough of Trump’s hostile aggressions even when it comes to NATO. Congress is the place where future policy with Iran lies. There is no impending danger.
