Today, the Oreo—the ubiquitous, best-selling cookie of the 20th century—marks 100 years on the market. More than 12 billion Oreos are consumed each year, made with 22 million pounds of cocoa, 64.1 million pounds of cream filling and crafted by the skilled hands of members of BCTGM (the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers) union at Kraft Foods/Nabisco plants throughout the United States and Canada.

CHINA will launch (click title to entry - thank you) its third lunar probe, the Chang'e-3, next year to land on the moonand release the country's first moon rover to patrol the lunar surface.

The Chang'e-3 will be the first Chinese space probe to have legs to ensure a softlanding on moon, according to Ye Peijian, chief designer of the Chang'e-1, thecountry's first moon probe, and chief commander of the Chang'e-2 and Chang'e-3missions.

"The probe will take more scientific equipment than its predecessors mainly to detect,collect and analyze samples on the moon," Ye said yesterday....
