Something to hide?

I don't see how the hearings can go forward. Senator Schumer needs to file a lawsuit against Donald Trump to bring the hearing to a halt until all documents are provided. If the President shredded documents than the nomination needs to be rescinded and a new one provided. 

This is outrageous and the nominee is actually going to allow such deception to the American people? There is no way he can proceed without full disclosure.

There is plenty of precedent for full disclosure, nothing else should be tolerated.

Washington — The Trump administration (click here) is withholding more than 100,000 pages of Brett Kavanaugh’s records from the Bush White House on the basis of presidential privilege ahead of the Supreme Court nominee’s confirmation hearing.

The Senate Judiciary Committee was notified of the action Friday. George W. Bush’s attorney Bill Burck told the panel it had essentially completed its work compiling documents, according to a letter obtained by The Associated Press. Bush directed them to err “on the side of transparency and disclosure, and we believe we have done so.”

But the current administration is also able to review the records, and the Trump White House “has directed that we not provide these documents,” the letter says.

In all, 267,000 pages of Kavanaugh documents from his Bush years are being made public....

Really? There is plenty to worry about, like the sovereignty of the USA. The Federalist Society wants to change the USA Constitution. Now, in most circles desiring to change the USA Constitution is viewed as an act against our democracy.

...Russian company (click here) accused by special counsel Robert Mueller III of being part of an online operation to disrupt the 2016 presidential campaign is leaning in part on a decision by Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh to argue that the charge against it should be thrown out.

The 2011 decision by Kavanaugh, writing for a three-judge panel, concerned the role that foreign nationals may play in U.S. elections. It upheld a federal law that said foreigners temporarily in the country may not donate money to candidates, contribute to political parties and groups, or spend money advocating for or against candidates. But it did not rule out letting foreigners spend money on independent advocacy campaigns....

It would seem as though Judge Kavanaugh believes others than Americans should sway elections. Really?

...The indictment alleged that Concord paid $1.25 million a month to the St. Petersburg-based Internet Research Agency for projects such as setting up rallies for President Donald Trump or various advocacy groups in the United States, creating Twitter and Facebook accounts to spread false information and "to interfere in U.S. political and electoral processes without detection of their Russian affiliation." The company was charged with one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States....

Kavanaugh is nothing but pure corruption. He not only sees Citizens' United as the only way to win a presidency, he does it with all the money necessary from anywhere on Earth.

I thought Kavanaugh was wet behind the ears a bit, but, he isn't. He is simply corrupt and doesn't care about the sovereign state of the USA. Do these judges know and understand what sovereignty is? I don't think they do and I don't think they care.

I think there should be a few generals in the hearings to explain to the US Senate and the country, exactly what sovereignty is and how to defend it, which doesn't include allowing foreign interests power within the USA elections at any level.

It would seem as though the cute lady endorsing Kavanaugh in his TV commercial for the Supreme Court is a good friend of Coach Kavanaugh. This lecture is about separation of power and is the reason Trump believed Kavanaugh would serve his purpose.

If you feel as though there is a hollow feeling in your stomach as the USA is handed to Russia, you may be right.

It is a holiday weekend and I have had a blissful day with my granddaughter.

The McCain family is burdened this weekend, but, the memory of their husband, father and son will burn brightly in the USA for a long time. I apologize for the Vice President (I only saw a brief beginning to his statement.), he knows now what he does. I mean that sincerely. He is a yes man to Trump. I sincerely believe if he ever had to take over the Presidency, he would be disqualified for the PTSD he was provided at the hand of this abuser, Donald Trump.

That said, the McCain family should have peace and tomorrow the tributes to the heroic John McCain will continue.
