A near miss could have cost people their lives.

This is reckless Donald's fault.

Trump has no plans, he seeks no approval, and simply states "build here, build there" and does not care about safety, proper notification of anyone involved. Everyone has to "WATCH OUT" for Trump.

Donald "Reckless and careless" Trump. The FAA should have issued citations to Trump of reckless endangerment.

-The NTSB report noted Marine One (click here) has been taking off from the Ellipse instead of the South Lawn amid construction on the White House grounds, which include the White House ballroom and a helipad being installed on the South Lawn.

-Technicians with the Federal Aviation Administration also found there was “not adequate line-of-sight to ensure communications between the radio transmitter/receiver sight and The Ellipse,” according to the report.

-Marine One tried contacting air traffic controllers twice at Reagan Washington National Airport to give a standard three-minute liftoff warning used to clear airspace, though one transmission was not received while the other was “broken and completely unreadable.”

-The air traffic control tower at Reagan cleared a jet for takeoff because it did not receive the warning from Marine One, which eventually warned the tower after gaining altitude.

-The helicopter carrying Trump flew 0.82 miles apart laterally and about 700 feet vertically from a passenger jet as a result (FAA rules say aircraft in Class B airspace are required to be separated at least 1.72 miles laterally or 500 feet vertically).

-The report noted the Marine One crew told Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport’s air traffic controllers a week prior to the incident that communications “had been spotty.”

-Th
e FAA said earlier this month Trump was “never in danger” during the incident....

That is bullshit. No near miss is safe. There are profound safety concerns for all involved. Do we have to continue to repeat mistakes over and over? Do we?

I thought it would come straight north.

There was a similar storm, I believe it was 1960. That hurricane dumped 11 inches on Michigan.

Michigan just had a state of emergency in April.

I would not take this storm lightly regardless of it's downgrade in hurricane standings, it has killed two people that is known. It can be the flooding that is worse than the wind.

There is a chance boating could be effected, too.

LANSING, MICH. The Michigan State Police (click here) Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division (MSP/EMHSD) with support from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has established multiple locations across the state to connect eligible residents affected by April's severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding with federal disaster assistance.

“Communities across Michigan are still rebuilding from devastating storms, tornadoes, and flooding this spring,” said Governor Gretchen Whitmer. “That’s why we’re making it easier for eligible residents to access FEMA assistance close to home. Michigan Disaster Recovery Centers will bring critical recovery resources directly into impacted communities, helping families navigate the recovery process and become more resilient to future disasters. We'll keep working alongside our local, state, and federal partners to ensure every community has the support it needs to recover and move forward.”...

Trump is Russia's ally.

You don't stop a war of genocide as Russia is waging in Ukraine by demanding breaks for the enemy and billions of US dollars for Russia petroleum in attempts to win a USA election.

That is nothing but continued corruption of the USA and American values.

US special envoys (click here) Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner have warned Ukrainian negotiators during high-level talks in Miami that Washington could cut off intelligence sharing if Kyiv does not halt long-range drone strikes on Russian oil refineries.

Accodring to Axios, the reported ultimatum came amid escalating friction over a bilateral agreement between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin to supply Russian diesel to US and international markets – a transaction the White House claimed would alleviate elevated consumer fuel prices.

A US official disputed that the American envoys issued an explicit threat, but confirmed that Witkoff and Kushner conveyed that Washington expected reciprocity from Kyiv given US deliveries of ammunition and intelligence, warning that Ukrainian actions should not harm American consumers....

Excuse me?

Trump can wage war on every country on the planet and the American consumer by applying tariffs and alienating our closest and one of our dearest neighbors and that is okay, but, when Ukraine attacks Russia to end a war of genocide it is not okay. Really?
