If Trump wants to be helpful rather than exploitive he would be working jointly with Canada to bring about the best outcomes for both countries. Canada needs assets not enemies.
These fires are caused by a drying planet. They are wind driven and spread of their own dynamics. There isn't a lot that can be done when people are put first as a priority and fighting the fires come somewhere after everyone is safe. There was a dramatic rescue from a train in Ontario. That is how quickly these fires are spreading. There is no time to react, only to survive.
