The Mexican Gray Wolf is caught in the crossfire of the Drug Cartel war and poverty.

Mexican wolves (click here) prefer to live in mountain forests, grasslands and shrublands, and are very social animals. They live in packs, which are complex social structures that include the breeding adult pair (the alpha male and female) and their offspring. A hierarchy of dominant and subordinate animals within the pack help it to work as a unit.

...With conservation as part of its mission, (click here) Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo hopes to breed the Mexican wolves through the Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ (AZA) Species Survival Plan (SSP). The AZA SSP works to ensure the survival of selected wildlife species.

The program started in 1981 as a cooperative population management and conservation program for selected species in zoos and aquariums in North America.

The re-introduction of the Mexican wolf is being carried out in conjunction with both the AZA and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

The wolves, which do not yet have names, will be on exhibit in the former timber wolf yard, next to the exhibit that houses the red wolves. Both are located near the Wolf Observation Learning Facility building....

The map to the left is currently "El lobo" range as it exists today. The loss of habitat to war and poverty has caused the species to become endangered.

(AP) Officials confirmed (click here) Wednesday that an animal killed by a federal employee in southwestern New Mexico in January was a Mexican gray wolf.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service said genetic tests confirmed it was a small, uncollared female. More tests are under way to determine which pack the wolf was associated with....

The crash of the 777 is NOT pilot error. It is COMPUTER error.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Witnesses said that many (click here) of the passengers aboard an Asiana Airlines Boeing 777 that crashed upon landing Saturday at San Francisco International Airport appeared not to have been hurt.
There has been no official word, however, about injuries or fatalities.
Tech executive David Eun, who was on the plane, sent out a message on Twitter saying: "Most people are totally calm and trying to let the fire and rescue do their jobs.... Posted updates to let everyone know that majority of passengers seem ok."...

I am grateful McCain is not commander and chief.

The United States should (click here) stop sending military aid to Egypt following the overthrow of its democratically elected president by the military, Senator John McCain said, as overnight street battles left at least 36 dead across the divided country.
Egypt’s military insists that ousting Islamist Mohammed Morsi on Wednesday was the will of the people as expressed by mass demonstrations calling for him to go.
Secretary of State John Kerry approved $1.3 billion in annual U.S. military aid to Egypt – the second largest recipient of such help after Israel – only two months ago.
However, U.S. law prohibits financial assistance to any country whose elected head of state is deposed in a military coup....

The more extreme a country becomes the more likely they will be a target of political ideology to have the USA military "boots on the ground."  War rhetoric controls the political doctrine of the USA Right Wing, ie: Bush/Cheney. If Egypt continued to build their Islamist nation, the more the political Right Wing will dominate the dialogue domestically and internationally. Their thirst to satisfy their political base and cronies/financial backers is paramount to the outcome of their policies.

The Egyptian people have spoken and their military has heard them. Removing support for the Egyptian military is a 'technicality tripwire' that will condemn the people to an Islamic dictatorship. Those like John McCain do not think for a living, they write words on a page that are suppose to condemn those that violate those words without APPLYING them to the best interests of the USA.

The dialogue of this so called party in the USA is extremely hostile, aggressive and deceptive. And people believe it. The people in the USA want to believe the worst of those seeking peace.

The idea these extremist positions in the USA actually can elect another Bush or Cheney cannot be ignored. While McCain does the ground work for the invasion into Egypt by undermining their benevolent purpose, there are those in the political vapors of the USA that actually see a weak Egyptian military as fertile ground for war mongering and fear building in the USA.

These same politicians have sincere power in the Wall Street firms now considered to have the same status of people in the USA. This is NOT an artificial picture of some political icon that will cause an election to swing their way; this paradigm of war domination is real and they don't care how many people die either domestically or abroad in limited nuclear war. If a region of the world even APPEARS to be oppositional to America they are the subject of American war violence.

The idea the Egyptian people can do without a strong military that literally holds their future in their hands is absolutely hideous. McCain is setting them up for failure. A weakened Egyptian military condemns the people of the region to violence and turmoil in power struggles and civil wars. Syria is the prime example of what the Middle East will resemble if John McCain has his way. It will be the nuclear war the Neocons aspire to create. The best Israel can hope for with this type of leadership in the USA is to have extended living in nuclear bomb shelters.

The financial support the USA has committed to of the Egyptian military cannot be measured by carefully crafted words on a page to control the final dispatch of the USA military; it has to be gauged by the support of the military of the people and THEIR demands for a democratic process that serves the greater good of all people, including that of Egypt.

Free and fair elections can take place in Egypt even with an active uprising by the Muslim Brotherhood, ie: Iraq.

Edward has a new home. Now, if he can just get there.

Congratulations, Edward. Didn't know you had it in you. Then again, I take that back.

You know Edward Snowden has a real mission in the world now; to stop the USA computer fleet from annihilating mankind.

At least with Edward on the job those of us still breathing and fairing the Climate Crisis of Wall Street will have half a chance of survival in the real world.

Anyone that thinks I am joking? NOT! Jeb Bush continues to demand a nation of computer operated vehicles powered by natural gas across the USA, not just the military. What a nightmare.

Cheers, Edward. I didn't know the USA and their allies would throw their entire political machine at a whistle blower. Scary, isn't it? Very, especially when the GOP machine loves limited nuclear engagement as a real strategy in real time.

Edward Snowden is not nearly the equivalent of a double agent. Now, if one wants to discuss the lax policies of the Federal GOP and Carlyle surrounding national security of the USA, that might lead to really interesting discoveries.

It is completely stupid for Democrats in the USA to try to snow voters into believing they are as radically right wing as the GOP. The nation needs government leaders to stand firm on peace directives and stabilizing economic regions rather than militarize them. Totally wrong of the Democrats to look like Right Wing Wannabees.

Venezuela's president Nicolas Maduro (click here) has offered to give asylum to Edward Snowden, the former contractor of the National Security Agency who leaked documents about the agency's surveillance programs.
Maduro said in a televised speech on Friday that his country would give "humanitarian asylum."
Neighboring Nicaragua has also said it is considering offering Snowden asylum if circumstances permit, according to reports.
But there are questions as to how he will get to Venezuela. Earlier this week, a plane carrying Evo Morales, president of Bolivia, was denied permission to enter airspace over some European countries as it was returning to Bolivia from Moscow. The countries had apparently been informed that Snowden was on board and their refusal to handle the aircraft sparked protests in Bolivia and the strong complaints from the Bolivian government....

Nuclear Non-proliferation just received a big boost.

President Obama always runs aground with his bi-lateral talks with the GOP. Bi-lateral? What would anyone call talks with those that want nuclear weapons and those that don't? The USA has a minority nation within it's own borders and those are the GOP Neocons/Tea Party Primary bozos. "Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, Iran."

Absolutely, bi-lateral. No doubt in my mind.

But, inevitably every agreement President Obama has entered into with the GOP Nation backfires all the time. Here is yet another one.

While the GOP assailed President Obama's Non-proliferation directives in Europe, the Alaska "Scared of North Korea Crowd" decided that the his surrender to interceptor missiles was perfect for the state. "I can see Russia from my house."

WASHINGTON – Republicans on Tuesday simultaneously (click here) applauded the Obama administration’s decision to deploy additional long-range ballistic missile interceptors in Alaska and castigated the White House for scaling back antimissile plans in Europe.

The decision, announced on Friday, to over the next four years deploy 14 more Ground-based Midcourse Defense interceptors at Fort Greely came largely at the expense of a separate plan to develop and deploy in Europe next-generation missiles capable of defeating a simple ICBM launched from the Middle East at the continental United States....

The President's Approval Ratings are once again looking dim for 2014. When they tanked in 2010 because of the GOP Nation's propaganda campaign started immediately after the 2008 elections the numbers on approval were about that same as they are now. Chasing President Morales plane was the right thing for the 'political set' of the Democrats in 2014. Makes them look tough on crime.

But, back to that 'nexus' of Obama bilateral GOP Nation stuff. There is the fact the interceptor missiles costing the USA one billion US$ each doesn't work.

Here again President Obama and that bilateral pact agreement has egg on it's face. And it isn't as though the world isn't watching, Iran took notice, too. That's a real relief for the Iranians. Makes their missile program seem like a real answer to someone's prayers. "Allahu Akbar!"

Ya know, I consider President Obama a fairly bright guy, but, when it comes to missile talks within his own divided nation, it really is a waste of time and counter productive to gun control in the long run.

US missile test over Pacific fails: Pentagon (click here)
A missile test by the multi-billion-dollar US defense system has once again failed with an interceptor failing to hit an incoming ballistic missile over the Pacific Ocean.

The advanced missile-defense interceptor, fired from Vandenberg air base in California failed to hit a long-range ballistic missile launched from an American Army test site at Kwajalein atoll in the Marshall Islands, the Pentagon said in a brief statement on Friday.

“An intercept was not achieved,” the statement said. “Program officials will conduct an extensive review to determine the cause or causes of any anomalies which may have prevented a successful intercept.”

The failure questions the credibility of the system which has not had a successful test since 2008. The US military had not conducted any tests since two failures in 2010.

The system “is something the U.S. military, and the American people, cannot depend upon,” said Philip E. Coyle III, who once ran the Pentagon’s weapons-testing program and is with the Center for Arms Control.

It has cost the US $34 billion to have 30 of the ground-based interceptors in Alaska and California....

See, when Americans finally see the GOP for the threat it sincerely is to the USA's national security and that of the world, it all sort of makes sense why other nation's don't value us in the same way.  The GOP Nation is a real problem GLOBALLY. I betcha Russia and China don't point nuclear weapons at each other. "2000 Friendship Agreement" - Look it up. It occurred shortly after Bush/Cheney occupied the White House.
