No one talks to the psychological damage of growth and development caused to the children as the USA southern border. They are parentless, homeless and treated as less than human. It is a worry to the extent mental health is effected with these children.

Tobacco and vap shops are breaking the law and endangered the lives of teens.

An undercover operation in California (click here) found that half of tobacco and vape shops failed to check IDs for teens purchasing e-cigarettes and other nicotine products, despite a state law raising the legal age for purchasing tobacco products to 21.

Researchers sent 18- and 19-year-old "decoys" into stores without ID, instructing them to tell the truth about their age if asked. The teenagers then attempted to purchase vape products -- e-cigarettes or e-liquids with nicotine -- and a chaperone watched to see if the store asked for ID and made a sale.

Almost half of tobacco and vape shops illegally sold nicotine-containing products to the teens, according to the research, published Monday in the medical journal JAMA Pediatrics. Liquor stores, supermarkets and pharmacies were significantly more likely to check for ID and less likely to make the illegal sales....

Governor Jay Inslee is absolutely correct on seeking a moratorium on the practice of fracking.

In any state in the USA there is the same level of corruption and lawlessness in practice regarding fracking. The lawsuits never seem to make the evening news. It is another cigarette industry issue. Any biologist or conservationist or environmentalist knew at the time the 2005 report was filed it was deceptive and underhanded. No one seemed to be interested for the treasure of gaseous gold under their property. The Property Rights greed swept across the country, including, a housing development scheme in North Carolina whereby the purchaser owned the house, but, signed away any mineral rights under that house.

If only they opted for selling wind and solar power back to the utilities were as popular and facilitated.

...It’s also important to note (click here) that these risks are likely to be seriously underestimated, because the environmental agencies have been downplaying the risks to the public. A new in-depth exposé from investigative journalists at Public Herald looks in-depth at the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) misconduct and negligence, as the DEP studiously ignored citizens’ complaints, sometimes not even testing water samples. Earlier studies from ProPublica and others showed similar EPA failures in the western U.S....

The Cheney Energy Policy of 2005 is fraudulent in regard to the issue of fracking. There is absolutely nowhere in that report where the dangers of fracking are discussed. Water quality was sacrificed in that report and seismic activity was never of a concern, yet, both water quality and seismic activity of land have never been worse in relation to that practice. People, Americans have died because of that lack of information when leasing their land to fracking companies. The water contaminated and people poisoned and died.

It is imperative that practice stops in the USA and globally. Methane leaks are incredible, creating polluted air and increasing the dangers of the climate crisis by 25 times than that of carbon dioxide. The petroleum industry is reckless and has no conscience. It is the perfect place for the government to rein in their lawless attitudes.

Washington Gov. Jay Inslee, (click here) in the latest installment of his ever-growing climate platform for his presidential campaign, is proposing to ban hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, nationwide.

So far in the 2020 Democratic primary race, Inslee has repeatedly pushed the boundaries of what a comprehensive strategy for combating the climate crisis looks like, previously proposing to retire all US coal plants by 2030, vowing to galvanize $9 trillion in climate-related spending in the next decade, and leading the call for a climate-only debate....

The USA southern border humanitarian crisis has been created for political purposes.

They almost made it. It used to be water stations in the desert. Now it is hardening the border and not having access to any lifesaving measures along the way. The differences are in the belief of life. People should not die in trying to escape poverty and violence.

This is not about criminals. Criminals that are chronically returned to their country of origin rather than being given a prison term in the USA is the problem. Trump likes to point to the crime committed by the Undocumented and in particular deaths of Americans. Those are repeat offenders that were sent back to their country of origin, only to return again. IT IS NOT AN ANSWER.

...Significantly, traffic stops, particularly driving while under the influence, were the number one reason undocumented persons were deported in 2017....

Sanctuary cities (click here) are not about prohibiting law enforcement, it is the opposite. Sanctuary cities enforce local law. Lawbreaking has to be reported by everyone, including the Undocumented before the rule of law works. Introducing federal officers into those cities sends the Undocumented underground and out of contact with local law enforcement. Federal police, like ICE, cause higher crime rates and compromise the safety of citizens.

U.S. Border Patrol agents found four bodies near the Rio Grande river along Anzalduas Park, close to McAllen, Texas. In this file photo, a Border Patrol boat is seen on the river along Anzalduas Park.

...The bodies have not yet been identified, (click here) and their country of origin isn't known. Their names won't be publicly released until authorities have informed their families.

In response to the discovery of the four bodies, the Texas Civil Rights Project called for an end to the Trump administration's "zero tolerance" policy that boosted immigration enforcement at the border. "When the government creates policies that make it harder to cross the border safely, people die," the group said on Twitter. "Children die. We have to shift our policies in favor of compassion."

In the 2018 fiscal year, the Border Patrol says, there were 283 deaths across the Southern border — with nearly 100 of those deaths reported in the Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol Sector.

Trump stop lying and invoking President Obama's name.

Squalor has a definition - legal definition - the state of being extremely dirty and unpleasant, especially as a result of poverty or neglect

The opposite of squalor is safe and clean conditions.

...As the Trump administration (click here) offers inconsistent justifications for the policy of separating migrant children from their parents at the US-Mexico border, an interview from last year has resurfaced in which John Kelly, then the secretary of homeland security, suggested the separation of families could help deter illegal immigration....

Talking out of both sides of his mouth, Trump as late as April 2019, stated his administration is not interested in separating children from their parents, but, the policy works as a deterrent to illegal migration.

Washington (AP) — Facing bipartisan pushback (click here) to his immigration shake-up, President Donald Trump said he’s not looking to revive the much-criticized practice of separating migrant children from their families at the southern border. At the same time, he suggested the policy had worked to deter migrants from coming into the U.S., although he offered no evidence to support his position.

Last summer the administration separated more than 2,500 children from their families before international outrage forced Trump to halt the practice and a judge ordered them reunited.
“We’re not looking to do that,” Trump told reporters on Tuesday before meeting with Egypt’s president at the White House. But he also noted: “Once you don’t have it, that’s why you see many more people coming. They’re coming like it’s a picnic, because let’s go to Disneyland.”...
This policy was never invoked before the Trump administration anywhere in the USA by states or federal government.

The child separation policy exists and was implemented with the full knowledge of Donald J. Trump and implemented with his knowledge as well.

An election season does not change the truth simply by stating it is fake news. THE FACTS EXIST AS EVIDENCE. Children continue to die at the southern border detainment camps because of the squalor they are forced to live in.

More aggressive actions against Iran is wrong. Very wrong.

"Morning Papers"

The Rooster

"Okeydoke"

Changing the subject from the weekends topic of sexual assault (click here) works well for Donald J. Trump. The fact of the matter is the escalation of tensions with Iran is the worst idea that ever existed.

The USA has satellite intelligence, we don't need drones, especially expansive sophisticated drones that when captured provide information to Iran it should not have. With a drone, even in pieces in their possession, I would not be surprised if the cyber attack didn't work. They have USA technology now.

There are inspectors that come and go with Iran that has the intelligence to provide the United Nations' Security Council. Everyone involved with Iran is receiving the information at the same time. The USA is no different.

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe needs to continue to mediate with Iran and the USA to come to a peaceful understanding of the way forward. Adding more sanctions is not going to end the tensions between the USA and Iran. I am quite sure Iran believes they have been betrayed by the USA. That is not good. There needs to be a clear understanding of their will be improved relations going forward.

I have a complaint about FOX News. They are inflaming the relationship between Iran and the USA and is partly if not completely responsible for escalating tensions as they feed fear and hate to the Trump Base. That is unlawful and creates problems. THERE WILL BE NO OBLITERATION OF ANYONE ON EARTH. NO ONE. For a news agency to promote words of hatred and death is irresponsible and an abuse of their power as a media organization.

Trump did not immediately provide details of the sanctions, (click here) which he said he hopes will bring Iran back to the bargaining table.

“We do not seek conflict with Iran or any other country,” Trump said. “I can only tell you we cannot ever let Iran have a nuclear weapon."

Pompeo was meeting with King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to discuss "ways to counter the malign Iranian influence in the region," the State Department said in a statement.

Pompeo also will next visit Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates in a bid to consolidate allies in the region en route to strengthening a global coalition against what the U.S. sees as Iranian aggression.

The sanctions ordered by Trump are in response to Iran shooting down a U.S. drone last week. The U.S. claims the $100 million, unmanned aircraft was flying over international waters while Iran says the drone was over its territory.

On Monday, a defiant Iranian admiral said his military stands ready to shoot down more drones...

Iran is not our only concern. As of the latest visit with the president of Poland, the USA is making plans to put 1000 troops in Poland.

Poland - A U.S. agreement with Poland (click here) to send 1,000 extra troops to the country is a defensive measure needed for its security, the U.S. ambassador to Warsaw said on Monday, replying to accusations from neighboring Russia that the move is aggressive....

Russia has not lived up to any of it's agreements, including any Minsk agreement. NATO has a right to be prepared for more aggressive moves by Russia. Earlier this year the USS Ross arrived in the Black Sea and Russia started screaming there was an escalation to war. Russia is always screaming brinkmanship.

NATO has a right to exist and to assert sovereign security. It is President Putin who is impulsive, irresponsible and unpredictable when it comes to a global balance of power.

The guided-missile destroyer Ross (click here) arrived in the Bulgarian port of Varna this week for another round of military exercises in the Black Sea.

Maneuvers alongside the Bulgarian navy were slated to begin Wednesday and are designed to “strengthen interoperability with NATO allies and partners and demonstrate the collective resolve to Black Sea security," according to a prepared statement released by the U.S. 6th Fleet.

Based in Rota, Spain, the Ross is the fourth U.S. warship to visit the Black Sea since Jan.1 and this bilateral exercise comes amid simmering tensions with Russia across the region.

In 2014, Moscow annexed Kiev’s Crimean Peninsula, sparking an ongoing civil war in Ukraine’s eastern provinces.

In November, Russian forces seized three Ukrainian vessels and their crews in the Kerch Strait, escalating the conflict....
