The Syrian Rebel Army is on their way to Europe. They get more sympathy from Europe than Assad.

September 16, 2015
By Helene Cooper

WASHINGTON — Only four or five Syrian individuals (click here) trained by the United States military to confront the Islamic State remain in the fight, the head of the United States Central Command told a Senate panel on Wednesday, a bleak acknowledgment that the Defense Department’s $500 million program to raise an army of Syrian fighters has gone nowhere.
Gen. Lloyd J. Austin III, the top American commander in the Middle East, also told the Senate Armed Services Committee that the United States would not reach its goal of training 5,000 Syrian fighters anytime soon....

There won't be a power sharing government if the Syrian resistance can't maintain a stable representation. In all sincerity it looks as though Assad is the only man left standing.

Carey Gabay has passed.

September 16, 2015
By Winnie Hu and Benjamin Mueller

A Cuomo administration lawyer (click here) who was shot in the head during a predawn celebration before the West Indian American Day Parade last week died on Wednesday evening, according to a family friend.
The lawyer, Carey W. Gabay, 43, was a bystander caught in a shootout in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, that the police believe to have been between gangs.
Mr. Gabay was taken to Kings County Hospital Center, where he was in critical condition in a coma in recent days. His family and friends had been keeping vigil there. He was declared brain-dead on Tuesday night, and then taken off a respirator.
“We ask that our privacy be respected during this difficult time,” Mr. Gabay’s family said in a statement....
Go get 'em, Rand. Medical marijuana and it's oils should not even be an issues anymore.

''The Tenth Amendment (click here) was intended to confirm the understanding of the people at the time the Constitution was adopted, that powers not granted to the United States were reserved to the States or to the people. It added nothing to the instrument as originally ratified.''

The Tenth Amendment is exploited by the right wing to ignore federal statues including Roe v. Wade and the Voting Rights Act. State's rights exists but the Republicans take it too far.

The Climate Crisis

For as young as Marco Rubio is, he is not in step with his generation. Denying the existence of a warming Earth is not reality anymore simply to 'keep an economy the way it is.'

Current day Republicans do not embrace the Middle Class. If they embraced the middle class they would find a far different and more viable economy. Alternative energies demands small business to create jobs. It doesn't take a corporation to install solar panels or wind mills. The entire idea a fifty year old economic paradigm based in Wall Street pre-China is hideous. For many reasons it is hideous.

Rand is correct. Parents should feel they have control over their child's wellness and the impact of vaccines on that child's future, but, after one year the parents postponing vaccines falls apart. The myelin sheath is intact after one year old. The vaccines can't come in contact with insulated nerves at that time going forward. That standard will provide for safe school environments. Babies receive their mother's antibodies when they breast feed. The reason the vaccines are necessary is because breast milk is passive immunity and vaccines are active immunity. The antibodies don't hurt children when their myelin sheath is intact.

Jeb Bush has got to be joking. He is hopeless. Margaret Thatcher on the $20 bill will cause riots. Another one that knows little to nothing about American women, Governor Kasich who wants Mother Teresa on the $20 bill.

Governor Christi would want the secret service to call him "True Heart." I that is more correct than another. I liked the idea of Abigail Adams.

As John Adams (click here) was busy hammering out a new government, Abigail Adams expressed concern about how women would be treated. In one of her many letters to her husband, she requested that he “Remember the Ladies, and be more generous and favourable to them than your ancestors. Do not put such unlimited power into the hands of the Husbands. Remember all Men would be tyrants if they could. If perticuliar care and attention is not paid to the Laidies we are determined to foment a Rebelion, and will not hold ourselves bound by any Laws in which we have no voice, or Representation.” Odd spellings aside, Abigail often expressed her thoughts on political matters with her husband. Throughout his career, Abigail had served as his unofficial adviser. Their letters show him seeking her counsel on many issues, including his presidential aspirations.

Another Dolly Madison. For her involvement in American policy she even appears to be the first Mamie Eisenhower or Elenore Roosevelt.
Some critics objected to Abigail’s influence over her husband, calling her “Mrs. President.”

I think 3 hours was too long. Less commercials, more content. IT IS CABLE NEWS!!! They forget about that these days.

...But lost in the polarized debate (click here) over Planned Parenthood is a fact that Bush would likely prefer not to highlight: His family, dating back to his grandfather, was instrumental in launching and securing federal funding for the group.
During the 1940s, when contraception was a controversial and largely taboo topic, Jeb Bush's grandfather, Prescott Bush, was an active supporter of Planned Parenthood, which was founded by Margaret Sanger in 1921 as the American Birth Control League. In 1947, Bush served as treasurer of the group's first national fundraising campaign—a move he would soon come to regret. In 1950, Prescott Bush narrowly lost an election for a US Senate seat in Connecticut after a columnist revealed his connection to the "Birth Control Society." (He went on to win a Senate seat two years later.)...

I think the Republicans are over compensating for the past involvement. The fact of the matter is Planned Parenthood has provided ESSENTIAL services to women for decades. There is no reason that should change.

Carly Fiorina made a good impression. It finally put a Republican women on the stage as an equal with Republican men. She is very well poised. There was one statement to be noted that might be a strength and that was her knowledge of international banks to immediately institute sanctions. I don't know if she is exclusively competent in that area within all the candidates, but, no other candidate opened up that dialogue. It was in relation to Iran so they may have a different approach. Donald Trump probably deals frequently with international banks, but, he never addressed that as a particular competency.

The first tsunamis have hit.

A tide gauge off the shore of Coquimbo, a Chilean seaside city less than 100 miles from the epicenter of tonight’s 8.3 moment magnitude earthquake, has logged wave heights in excess of 14 feet. This comes about 90 minutes after the quake struck at 7:54pm local time.

Hawaii is under a tsunami watch (click here) after an 8.3-magnitude earthquake off the coast of north Chile.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center issued the watch, saying a tsunami may have been generated by Wednesday's earthquake.
If there is a tsunami, the center estimates that the first wave would arrive about 3 a.m. Thursday.
The powerful earthquake shook Chile's capital, causing buildings to sway and people to take refuge in the streets. Several strong aftershocks hit within minutes as tsunami alarms sounded in the nearby port of Valparaiso. There were no immediate reports of injuries, but authorities said some adobe houses collapsed in the inland city of Illapel, about 175 miles (280 kilometers) north of Santiago.
The U.S. Geological Survey initially reported the quake at a preliminary magnitude of 7.9, but it quickly revised the reading upward to 8.3.

The USGS shake map doesn't show much transmission of the quake. But, that doesn't mean there should be less vigilance so much as 'hope' there won't be much transmission of energy.

The invasion into Iraq directly caused the problems with Daesh today.

George Walker Bush is directly responsible for the growth of Daesh.

How is Daesh spelled?

B-a-a-t-h-I-s-t

By late 2014, 18 of 19 members of the IS (Daesh) cabinet were Sunni Arab Iraqis with one Iraqi Turcoman, and included former Baathist military officers, former Baathist security officers or Sunni Arab tribes from western Iraq.

Some of the stuff at the debate is silly. Scott Walker would write an order the first day as President to tell Congress how to act and serve the people of the country. Hello?

The Republicans that aren't qualified to run for President really need to be eliminated from the forum.

Three days school suspension. Not a minor problem.

I encourage President Obama to be involved in writing Ahmed a reference letter for his future applications to college and to expunge the incident from his school record.

In the year 2015 every incident that appears to be 'out of limits of good character' is entered into school records by principals and vice principals.

There was a legal proceedings during the most extremist days of Bush in the State of New Jersey whereby a 5 or 6 year old was charged with sexual assault when he kissed a girl in his class. Ever since then school children have been under siege to have every incident entered into a school record.

Supposedly, these malicious recordkeeping entries cause doubt in the admission of entering college to these young people .

It is a form of slander and it is malicious. The case in New Jersey probably should be visited by the Justice Department. Additionally, Secretary Duncan should run an investigation to the assault upon the school records of young people. These assaults start at the first contact with the school system and if the professional staff doesn't bring the full extent of the law, parents will complain to school superintendents and school boards that the hired help is not doing their job.

Advocates are up in arms about young women in jail because they are pimped as prostitutes or they are human trafficked. This is another form of victimizing our young people when they are as innocent as their young years. It has gotten to be crazy. During the 911 era every aspect of 'poor conduct' was taken to the maximum and it is still with us.
California seems to be the place to play with guns. Rand Paul takes on the IRS Code. He states he is a novice with guns but he can hit the target. He wishes this target had a grenade launcher.

I have complete empathy for this young man and his family, but, this is Texas. You know, Texas. The home of cartoon conventions to inspire a gun fight. Irving, Texas. Things like this go on in Texas.
At some point in time the US Navy has to get involved to turn the ships back to their ports of origin. The Mediterranean Sea is vital for commerce throughout Europe. The merchant ships are governed by different laws and mostly of compassion. The European shipping routes can't end up like Somalia.

Sending the ships back to their ports of origin is the only answer otherwise there will be violence at the Hungarian border. Such disturbance is exactly what will unhinge violence all the way back to Syria. Turkey needs to close it's borders.

NATO is going to have to start thinking about sending units to places that might explode. Consider it a definite possibility.

Europe has to have a chance to evaluate the people within the migration. Just wanting a better quality of life is not the need for survival.

There is nothing saying the borders can't be open at some point in the future, but, this is dangerous for everyone. Those within the migration and the countries receiving them are in danger for many reasons.

The sooner the push back against the migration, the sooner it will stop.

Libya’s internationally-recognized government, (click here) based in the eastern region of the country, may consider stopping oil loadings by companies that are not cooperating with the management it has appointed for the state-run National Oil Corp, an oil official said.
“We are warning the international companies against dealing with the illegal management,” said Nagi Elmagrabi, the chairman of the NOC management based in eastern Libya, in comments to reporters in Malta. “Legal proceedings” will be first considered against these companies and, as a last resort, their loadings from the eastern region may be blocked, he said, without identifying them.
Tribal and political disputes have almost completely halted onshore crude production in the western region, where an administration backed by moderate Islamist militias has held sway since last year. Libya’s internationally recognized government operates from al-Bayda in the east where some oil continues to be exported....

The US Navy was very successful in ending the pirating of oil out of eastern Libya. It's the Mediterranean Sea. It cannot be dysfunctional. The shipping channels have to be cleared of any rouge ships that are involved in the migration. The ships have to be controlled in their involvement. They can't simply take money or whatever is being used for currency and place migrant lives at risk.

In a desperate bid to seek a better life in Europe, (click here) thousands of refugees and migrants leave the shores of Libya and cross the perilous Mediterranean Sea every month. Over 2,000 people have died making the journey in 2015 alone.
The routes to and journey through Libya are also dangerous, however, and since the fall of Muammar Qaddafi in 2011, the country has struggled to achieve and maintain stability. Porous desert borders, rival fighters, and weak governance have left much of Libya in complete chaos.
With militias controlling large swathes of land, their attentions have turned to the people that cross their territories. The fighters assert they are bringing order to the country as they detain the refugees, yet these people's lives have become valuable commodities to the militias as they try to solidify their positions in the country....

There are people from Libya in the migration. Entire countries cannot empty into Europe. The countries of origin need humanitarian aid.

The USA was very successful in dropping shipments of supplies into Afghanistan with messages to help them understand their world. NATO needs to respond in an effective way that stops the hysteria of the migrants.

If nations of people want a better quality of life they need to stop killing each other and make their countries functional with an economy that works toward their advantage within sovereign borders. Any leaflets to migrants have to have that lesson. It makes no sense. People are trying to get to Europe when they don't even have enough backbone to end jihadist regimes.

This is an entry on Facebook. Is this real?

Here come the Muslims. Strange how almost all the "refugees" are fit males between 15 & 25. Where are the women, children & elderly? Sounds more like an invasion to me.

The photo and written entry is on "Political Veracity."

The boats have to stop their service. This is insane.  I am surprised there are not more reports of deaths, but, if this is reality, it has to stop.

The people in the water could have fallen off the boat,

The guy is strange.

His campaign isn't just about him, it is about the ambitions of his family and their political dynasty. The USA does not need Bush economies anymore. G.H.W. was not the disaster W. was, but, he no idea what to do with the US economy.

That t-shirt is from 35 years ago.

"I am my own man." Sure, whatever you say.

There is a huge issues with head transplants and the Republicans.

What's Ben Carson have to say about head transplants? Will he consider doing any?

Those are legitimate questions. Ben Carson should know the context this dialogue takes place. I see that reality, which will occur in two years, as a strong moral question. Is a head transplant the same category of organ transplants? Is it in the shadows of genetic medicine, which the Republicans oppose when it comes to working with embryonic tissue.

Do we have another George Bush that will stand in the way of science and medicine?

I want to know if Ben Carson condemns advancements in medical research. Bush went so far as to criminalize travel to Great Britain if it was to bring a child to doctors there that have genetic answers for chronic disorders that takes a child's life within the first decade. That is the truth.

There is this double standard within the Republican leadership. They back Terri Schivo's gastric tube, but, obstructs travel to the UK (an ally) for parents to receive treatment of their children. I want to know if Ben Carson will take the USA back to the stone age.

Today, there are videos that Republicans embrace that discuss the business of fetal tissue (which is genetic research) as if it is a Frankenstein within the USA. So, when it comes to Ben Carson I want to know what happens to 'the hope' of genetic research in the USA and what his policies will be. I am tired of Republicans being elected because they want to remove medical advances unless it comes in the way of a pill from Big Pharma.

The idea of successful and fully functional head transplants invites cloning. There are egos and money that will go there. It might not occur in the USA, but, it will happen.

Israel always knows what Hezbollah is doing.

That is a given. Assad will arm Hezbollah because they have been fighting on the side of the sovereign Syrian Army. There is no distance between Assad and Hezbollah. The long standing relationship amounts to the extension of the Assad government into Lebanon. That has been for decades.

(Reuters) - Israeli Prime MinisterBenjamin Netanyahu (click here) will visit Russia next week for talks with President Vladimir Putin on the expanding Russian military presence in Syria, an Israeli official said on Wednesday.
"The prime minister will present the threats to Israel emanating from the increased flow of advanced weaponry to the Syrian arena and from the transfer of lethal weaponry to Hezbollah and other terrorist groups," the official said.
Moscow has come under international pressure to explain its moves in Syria, where the Kremlin has been supporting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in a 4-year-old civil war.
The Kremlin confirmed the visit, with Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov telling Russian media that Netanyahu will come to Moscow on Sept. 21.
"On Monday, there will be a short working visit and talks with Vladimir Putin," RIA news agency quoted Peskov as saying....

President Putin won't be surprised, but, it will be interesting to see if Israel and Russia can agree on actions in Syria. Hezbollah has not been active in Lebanon since the civil war began.

Berlin – Commerzbank, (click here) Germany’s second largest bank, has closed the account of the al-Quds day demonstration - which organizes annual marches in German cities calling for the destruction of Israel.

The bank “closed the account in September because of business conditions,” a spokesman told The Jerusalem Post by telephone on Tuesday.

The bank can drop an account “without providing reasons,” he said....
