The exhaled volume of air and vapor is disproportionate to the amount inhaled.

There has to be something that occurs in the lungs that increases the volume of air exhaled. From the first time I saw someone vaping the entire physics seemed wrong. I believe the lungs undergo pressure from the vap-machine that the cell walls cannot withstand.

That is pure speculation based on observation. The entire event of inhaling and exhaling when vaping seems disproportionate. I think lung tissue is to delicate to hold up to it. Vaping seems more of a mechanical process whereby smoking is a passive process from the standpoint of physics.

Medical investigations are used to looking for chemical changes to the lung tissue with cigarettes. While the vaping fluid has to be investigated, there is a chance the actual vaping mechanism is the culprit. Like I said, it is pure speculation on my part from observations in regard to the volume of air intake and volume of air and vapor exhaling. It could possibly be a combination of the vaping fluid and vaping mechanism.

State and federal health officials (click here) are investigating almost 100 cases of mysterious lung illnesses linked to vaping and e-cigarette use in 14 states in the US, many of them involving teens and young adults. A large number of those stricken ill have been hospitalised, with some in intensive care and on ventilators.

At least 31 cases have been confirmed as of Friday, state officials said, and dozens more are under investigation. Medical authorities say it is unclear whether patients will fully recover.

Officials are warning clinicians and the public to be on alert for what they describe as a severe and potentially dangerous lung injury. Symptoms include difficulty breathing, shortness of breath or chest pain before hospitalisation. Health officials said patients have also reported fever, cough, vomiting and diarrhea.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Friday that officials are working with health departments in at least five states with confirmed cases - California, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota and Wisconsin - to determine the cause of the condition after "a cluster of pulmonary illnesses linked to e-cigarette use" was reported among adolescents and young adults in recent weeks. In a call Friday with state health authorities, CDC officials said they were probing 94 possible cases in 14 states....

The Portland Police can't get a break. They have right wing militias that bring their weapons to their activism.

A Portland police officer monitors the situation in downtown Portland during the “End Domestic Terrorism” event on August 17, 2019.

Demonstrations (click here) in downtown Portland remained non-violent Saturday with the two opposing groups remaining mostly separated.

Portland Police allowed the far-right group to cross the closed Hawthorne Bridge, effectively keeping the two groups separated by the Willamette River, with counter-protesters on the west side at Portland’s south waterfront.

Participants gathered as early as 9:30 a.m. Saturday for the “End Domestic Terrorism” event in downtown Portland. The event was billed as a rally against Antifa, a far-left, anti-fascist group that has engaged in violence....

Oregon has a problem with right-wing militias. The militias don't worry about the police. They threaten the State Police. They don't care. That is another reason assault weapons don't belong on the street in the USA.

Salem - The Oregon Capitol (click here) will be closed Saturday due to a “possible militia threat” from right-wing protesters as a walkout by Republican lawmakers over landmark climate change legislation drags on.

Republican state senators fled the Legislature — and some, the state — earlier this week to deny the majority Democrats enough votes to take up the climate bill, which would dramatically reduce fossil fuel emissions by 2050. It would be the second program of its kind in the nation after California if passed.

Gov. Kate Brown then dispatched the state police to round up the rogue lawmakers, but none appeared in the Capitol on Friday and the stalemate seemed destined to enter its third day with a week left in the legislative session....

The extremism has no bounds in the Middle East. That has to change. A 90 year old woman has a right to peace and the ability to embrace a dearly loved Granddaughter.

The issues with Palestine and Israel are too extreme. To begin whoever expected a President and Prime Minister to chime in on the visit of Freshmen Congresswomen to the region. That is ridiculous. That level of pressure on a simple situation to leverage elections in both countries is a gross misuse of power and I think more than anything that is what is playing out.

BDS does not seek to destroy Israel. That is another extremism that needs to be curtailed and put into perspective. BDS is an extreme measure as well, however, it was in place because Israel is impossible to deal with in regard to Palestine. If the two-state solution were ever to manifest the entire idea of BDS would evaporate.

I think the US government inquiry into the lack of intervention by the Ambassadors is in order, these are legally elected representatives of Americans and this is their first year in representing their constituency.

There are missed opportunities everywhere in this situation and it was because Trump wanted to victimize further some freshmen Congresswomen FROM THE OVAL OFFICE to create an election issue. That abuse is causing the problems we see today.

The obvious missed opportunity was having the Congresswomen visit the lands they love and see for themselves the way people live and hear their stories and learn. LEARNING is a huge issue with new Congresswomen and Congressmen and that was simply discarded as unimportant because two powerful men treated these women as OBJECTS for exploitation in elections. These women were not appreciated for the people they sincerely are and their ability to find facts and form opinions beyond what exists today. If anything is true about this situation is that the impression these Congresswomen are coming away with is terrible.

Neither of these Congresswomen have had good experiences and Congresswoman Tlaib became so overwhelmed with whatever restrictions she was encountering she simply took a stand in condemnation of Israel. She also did not have the benefit of visiting a 90 year old grandmother. I can't imagine traveling all that way to learn about the region and see a beloved relative only to have it be used as a political antic.

If the Congresswoman had more experience in all this, she would have benefited in carrying through to see her grandmother and later speaking of her concerns and the intractable circumstances that exist today for the Palestinian people. That is where the extremism has brought the world, to a point of intractable circumstances and further extremism to the point where a USA president backs attacks by Israel into Iraq.

Peace is what is at stake and these two Congresswomen are hardly capable of delivering it if the Prime Minister and President play political games for the sake of their own ambitions.

If the opportunity still exists for Congresswoman Tlaib to visit her grandmother, she should carry through with it. It is the correct thing to do.

The US Government needs to examine the lack of intervention by the Ambassadors to make the trip of these Congresswomen successful in the face of a US President desperate for attention and his politics.

Most of all, the extremism has to resolve and civilized discourse begin to bring the Israeli and Palestinian people peace and prosperity. The Congresswomen need to move forward in their support of peace.
