A flawless launch of the James Webb telescope.

There is great expectations of the James Webb telescope. It also has a rather short life of 5 to 10 years for it's expectations. It launched from it's home in Peru in a joint effort with the European Space Agency and NASA.

The James Webb telescope will not be seen again by human beings. It is now out of reach of any camera.

The launch was fascinating. The telescope was rotated during the launch to protect it's sensitive instruments from exposure to the sun. It also served to acclimate the instruments to the environment of space.

The telescope passed over several stations on Earth that will monitor it. The California center will serve to receive and interpret the data sent by James Webb Space Telescope.

The journey of this telescope won't be complete for 6 more months when it will be deployed and begin returning data. This is a highly anticipated launch that was delayed for several reasons over the years. I am certain this enterprise will prove important and valuable to all those that participated in it's engineering and the countries that funded it.
