I saw this story...

...But while the book (click here) is not supposed to be fiction, Vara is a made-up character.

"Ron Vara is an anagram of Navarro," said Tom Bartlett, a journalist who exposed the ruse in the Chronicle of Higher Education....

...and got this creepy feeling. Didn't Trump have an alter ego when he would speak to journalists? A name, "John Barron." Something like that.

I just find all this mess contains a strange parallel. I don't alter egos in people making decisions.
I realize there is a great deal of trauma and grief at this time, but, it should be noted the facility was over capacity. That should be cited in a court of law. If the establishment doesn't obey the law, why should the people? The people learned it is okay to be among an unwieldy crowd. That isn't good.

Additionally, it is worth noting in our society's attempts to understand these mass shootings, there were over 750 people there and not one of them could identify the shooter, NOR, were there other people carrying weapons to stop him.

These are hard lessons to learn for a country and a state that cares about it's people deeply, but, they have to be learned and acted on to end this senseless and vicious violence.

The time for lies and politics is over.

They have a shooter, but, no motive.

#NOW Two people hugging in front of a police vehicle. Right in front of the location of shooting. I hear a woman crying "My baby!" @wfaa

With this many people involved, the idea of this being a hate crime has to be considered. Did any of the survivors, including victims, know him?
The US House impeachment of Trump hasn't even started yet and in the Washington Time there is an article that Trump will demand the recusal of John Roberts from presiding over the trial because they have differences.

This is nothing but extremist politics and it needs to stop.

I applaud the USA military. They carry out the missions no one else can. Talented, dedicated and loyal.

Just a word about the maniacal Baghdadi. It has been a day since the world learned of his death. His followers tend to be techies. They probably know he is dead and how he died. They will not see the power of the USA or its magnificent military, they will see how he died as a martyr. His followers will focus on the use of a suicide vest by their iconic leader. I believe children died with him. I read there were two wives that used the vests as well. This will become a focus of the way they will continue to kill.

Baghdadi could be alive if he surrendered to the USA military, but, he chose to die in a way that sent a message. His methods are maniacal and they will continue to be iconic methods of those that remain alive.

Gone at 90 years old, he endured as a leader to this country.

...Throughout his decorated tenure (click here) in the U.S. House of Representatives, he shepherded every significant civil rights law passed by the House of Representatives, including introducing the original bill to make Martin Luther King Jr. day a federal holiday. From 1969 to 1995, he chaired the House Oversight Committee and In 2007  became the first African-American to serve as Chair of the House Judiciary Committee. In that same year, he received the Spingarn Medal from the NAACP for his tireless dedication in the fight for justice....

Detroit - Former Michigan Congressman John Conyers Jr. (click here) has died at the age of 90, the Detroit Police Department confirmed Sunday....

...Congressman Conyers had an exceptionally long congressional career lived in two parts. Born in 1929 in Highland Park, Conyers attended Northwestern High School, then Wayne State University Law School. While in law school Conyers took at job working for John Dingell, one of a handful of men who served in Congress longer than Conyers.

Conyers' first election win was in 1964. He took the oath of office in 1965 during enormous political change. Early on, Conyers quickly found himself in the middle of the Civil Rights Movement. He befriended Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, and helped found the Congressional Black Caucus, something famed New York African American Congressman Adam Clayton Powell was not enthusiastic about at the time.

"He looked at us and he said, 'What for? I represent black people in America. You don't need a caucus.' We were dumbfounded," said Conyers.

Conyers introduced the 1965 Voting Rights Act and has described a great relationship with President Lyndon B. Johnson.

"His conscience, I think, kicked in, and he began to realize the inevitability of the President and the Congress doing the right thing and moving race relations forward," said Conyers....
