Additional testing will reveal a larger part of the population that had COVID-19.

However, these cases also include significant increases in hospital cases. For those that are hospitalized, it means they contracted the virus in recent events.

The number of cases globally of COVID-19 is 7,823,289 confirmed cases.

Globally there have been 431,541 deaths from COVID-19.

The Americas still lead the number of confirmed cases on the planet.

The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the USA is 2,057,838 and deaths from the virus is 115,112.

The USA has 54.4 percent of the confirmed cases in the Americas and 26.3 percent of the global confirmed cases.

The USA has 26.7 percent of the deaths globally.

Maine is showing movement to resolving the impacts of the virus. Maine has a population density of 41.3 people per square mile. At the other end of the spectrum is New York State which is concerned for an increased number of confirmed cases. New York State's population density is 421 people per square mile. Population density is going to play a role in the impact of this highly contagious virus.

Population density will also be reflected in the number of intensive care beds to adequately care for the new cases now manifesting.

The governor says Maine (click here) is ‘on par or even ahead of other northeastern states’ in reopening its economy, but states where infections are spiking ‘should be a cautionary tale.’

- The Maine CDC reports 520 active coronavirus cases in the state on Monday, the same number it reported Sunday.

- The American Red Cross will start testing donated blood for COVID-19 antibodies, so donors can learn whether they have been exposed to the coronavirus.

- Bates College in Lewiston says it will welcome students back in September, but to ‘a very different campus.’

-This summer is off to a slow start in coastal Maine towns because of the coronavirus and restrictions on visitors from out of state.

This is going to be used for propaganda in Russia.

This is what occurs when there isn't a strong president in the White House. Mr. Whelan was encouraged to go to Russia for the wedding of a friend. He was set up. Americans allow themselves to fall into a dangerous status when visiting communist countries.

It absolutely is a sham trial that started with lies in charging him.

Paul Whelan, (click here) a U.S. citizen who was arrested in Moscow in 2018 on charges of espionage, has been found guilty in a closed trial and sentenced to 16 years in prison in a case that has strained relations between the two countries.

The verdict was read in a Moscow court on Monday as Whelan stood in the defendant's cage holding a sign that read "Sham trial!"...

Russia has walked all over Trump from the beginning. This is just one more time.
African Americans are predisposed to police violence. I keep thinking about Sandra Bland and how a simple traffic stop turned into her death. It has to stop. She no more could hurt a fly than assault that police officer. He was waiting for the verbal escalation when he should have ignored it and sent her in her way.

It is a societal problem being played out with violence from police. The police are way out of line in their resolve to unarmed people, especially minorities.

A major component to American racism is the institution of the White Supremacist. The statutes have to come down. The names of public buildings have to be changed. Zero tolerance to ANY expression of racism. The White Supremacist groups are a national security issue strengthened by the politics of the Republicans. Racism in any form has to be eliminated from politics, even the favored dog whistle. It must happen. The dialogue within the African American community is toxic to our democracy. That dialogue won’t change unless the danger to their lives change. These priorities have to begin now and continue until minority leaders begin to realize a significant shift in peace and well being among their members. End of discussion.
