The Flint River Water Project

No changes to date. There will be, just not yet.

Thank you for your interest.

Donald Trump's 2015 return isn't finished yet.

It is my estimation that the current year income tax return for Trump is a burden and postpones the audit of previous years. Follow? No? See, the IRS is auditing the Trump tax returns. BUT, before the extension time runs out his lawyers and accountants have to file the current year's return. So, the audits get pushed back from completion because the current year has to be completed. The past returns have to receive attention by the same people processing this year's returns before the IRS can complete their audits.

Got it?

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton (click here) and her husband, former president Bill Clinton, earned $10.7 million last year according to their 2015 tax return, which her campaign released Friday along with a trove of other documents intended to apply pressure to Republican Donald Trump to do the same.
Clinton has called on Trump repeatedly to release his tax returns, trying to sow doubt about the businessman’s honesty and civic participation. With the release of her return as well as an accounting of nearly $23 million in speaking fees earned in 2013, the Clinton campaign noted that nearly 40 years’ worth of tax returns for the couple are now in the public domain....
So, Donald Trump is a bad Republican candidate, huh?

Have you looked at the rest of the Republicans?

Governor McCrory has a very complimentary ad out for his re-election. Let's think a minute.

Governor McCrory once worked for Duke Power and receives substantial amounts of money for his campaign for Duke Power. We all remember the coal ash spill and the corruption that existed within the NCDNR with the McCrory administration.

How many North Carolinians realize there was corrupt legislation passed to insure Duke Power will never have problems with their profits again?

"The Duke Power Protection Act"

To no surprise, Governor Pat McCrory (click here) signed disastrous coal ash legislation into law late Friday afternoon, further stalling the cleanup of the state’s toxic coal ash mess. House Bill 630, more appropriately called the “Duke Energy Protection Act,” gives the utility monopoly even more time to leave poisonous coal ash waste in leaking pits. Every day that passes puts the health and safety of more and more North Carolinians at risk. Even more egregious, this bill undermines the more than 8,000 comments submitted by North Carolina citizens earlier this year urging leaders to remove all coal ash sitting near waterways and to label no community as low-risk...

The people of North Carolina are now saddled with contaminated water and the protections for Duke Power are nothing but corruption.

Ivory remains in markets around the world and elephants continue to be poached.

Elephants (click here) have long been potent cultural symbols worldwide, assuming prominent positions in Buddhist and Hindu lore. They are also a frequent target by poachers looking to harvest their tusks and sell them on the black market, leaving behind the bodies of the animals.
Friday is World Elephant Day, a celebration of the animal and also a clarion call for the protection of the giant creatures. Here is what you need to know about the holiday and the animal....

Both male and female elephants are killed on these tracks on a regular basis. What is done with the ivory?

Arianna Huffington is leaving the Huffington Post for a new venture.

By Kevin Whitson

...She penned, (click here) Thrive: The Third Metric to Redefining SuccessCreating a Life of Well-Being, Wisdom, and Wonder, and The Sleep Revolution.
Huffington signed a new contract last year to work with HP through 2019. Under her leadership, the HP has grown to become a global company with local versions in 14 countries, including Greece, the U.K., France and Mexico.
But in June, she announced she would be leaving her position as editor-in-chief to persue a new venture called Thrive Global, a company focused on helping companies meet the healthcare needs of their employees.
Tim Armstrong, chief executive officer of AOL, said in a statement, “Arianna is a visionary who built The Huffington Post into a truly transformative news platform…AOL and Verizon are committed to continuing its growth and the groundbreaking work Arianna pioneered.”

We are entering a rare ratio with jets. There are hard landings very close together.

It is time to speak to pilots to find out what is going on with the jets. This was an Airbus 320. Once again we are looking at a super jumbo jet. What is going on, because, something is going on with these super jumbos. They are exposed to a larger surface area when the jet enters turbulence.

The larger surface area is going to be more effected by the air passing under it and above it. We know the weather patterns have been changing and pilots have been magnificent, but, this is something new. With several disturbances of these jets within a short period of time, there is something occurring with the super jumbos not occurring with other aircraft.

Talk to the pilots and the mechanics. What are they seeing and thinking when instability hits these jets. Additionally, if pilots are sequestered into permanent jumbo assignments, they should be changed out to smaller jets to refresh their awareness of potential problems on the super jumbos that are not experienced on smaller jets.

The pilots have to talk to their mechanic supervisors and provide 'the feel' of the jet as well as the check list.

THIS IS AN EARLY TREND. It is just that simple. Catch it now and the jets will remain aloft safely and with a good passenger outcome. Do not ignore trends especially if they are across several airlines. The randomness of the incidents across several jet services means the problem is larger than simple preventive maintenance.

It is my assessment the turbulence is insulting the structural integrity to the super jumbos. As the turbulence grows greater, the super jumbos might have to be grounded. Sorry.

I suggest the weather patterns be a part of a comprehensive review of the super jumbos.

This is my thinking. The surface area of the super jumbos are reacting negatively to expert pilot guidance after it passes through turbulence. It is my guess the turbulence isn't simply experienced by the jet as 'the usual.' It is my estimation the jets are being hit by both up and down drafts and/or circular motion as a vortex. I wish you the best.

A JetBlue flight (click here) from Boston to Sacramento hit severe turbulence Thursday evening, causing injuries to 22 passengers and two crew members and forcing the Airbus 320 aircraft to land in Rapid City, South Dakota.
"People were floating," said passenger Rhonda Lynam of Pebble Beach, California. "All of a sudden, it was as if you're on an elevator, 50 stories high, and it goes out of control. Then you hit the bottom."...
Wall Street won't profit if their commercial enterprises do not hire people. The movement to local economies is vital to America's future. Enough of the profit motive for Wall Street.

There is no anti-American elite sentiment. Americans are far too smart for that.

The electorate is angry because innocent black men continue to be killed by cops in the USA. The day of Robo-cop is coming. I think computer cops will be better at doing the job than human cops.

I am serious, too.

Climate change (click here) is set to make it too hot to host the Olympics in the world's biggest cities, according to a university study.
The University of Auckland has undertaken research which has found about 90 per cent of the Northern Hemisphere's most populous cities will become too hot and humid over the next 70 years to safely hold the Games.
Professor Alistair Woodward said the study focused on whether cities in the Northern Hemisphere would be able to stage the marathon without posing a significant risk to athletes.
"Only three cities in North America, two in Asia and none in Africa will fall in the low risk category," he said.
"Projections suggest the last cities with low-risk summer conditions will be Belfast, Dublin, Edinburgh and Glasgow....

The "Second Amendment" threat was no difference than 2012. The same threat existed in 2012 with Romney of President Obama. Same danger to the candidate.

The MVP award for Daesh is George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. The American troop withdrawal could not occur without an illegal and immoral war. Nice try though.

The withdrawal from Iraq was correct. All the training of the Iraqi military was complete. The Iraq military surrendered.

The electorate of 2008 wanted the USA out of Iraq immediately. As a result of President Obama FOLLOWING THROUGH WITH THE BUSH PLANS for withdrawal of American soldiers in 2009, Chelsey Manning exposed three quarters of a million military records. So, don't blame President Obama for the withdrawal, it was on schedule crafted by "W."

Several foreign embassies in Thailand (click here) have updated travel advisories for their nationals travelling to Thailand after a series of bomb explosions in five Southern provinces.

The American, British, Australian and Japan embassies have informed their citizens about the latest bomb situation in Thailand on Thursday and Friday.

The British embassy advises against all but essential travel to the provinces of Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat and Songkhla on the Thai-Malaysia border.
