The question that arises regarding the requirement of women for Selective Service lies in understanding the practicality.

Men:Height (inches): 69.3
Weight (pounds): 195.5
Waist circumference (inches): 39.7

Women:
Height (inches): 63.8
Weight (pounds): 166.2
Waist circumference (inches): 37.5

Women are different than men. There are more women than men in the USA. If women were required to enroll in Selective Service, what percentage of them will actually qualify for the standards of being a soldier. Will those lactating be required to be drafted or the girls that are pregnant or single parents which are the majority of families in the year 2016.

Women would not need a college deferment, they would probably qualify for a deferment within the first week of their draft notice when the little pregnancy stick says "Yes" you are pregnant.

What are the Republicans going to do, require abortions?

The Selective Service is antiquated and unnecessary.
