These are the amendments to S. 649 - Safe Communities, Safe Schools Act of 2013

  • I have an errand to run, but, I'll start reading the amendments when I return. I planned to do this anyway. The Sandy Hook Promise is working very hard to pass these legislative initiatives and we have to continue to back them by advocating where ever we can and by writing to Senators and Congressmen and Congresswomen.

Our children's futures depend on our success today.

Additionally, the international community could help by putting their own pressure on these Congresspersons, too. If the USA can't control violence in their own society, it has no place in criticizing any other violence. That is not where allies belong. The moral statements of non-violence, peace and non-proliferation have to be met with respect and reputation. So far there is a huge gap in the reputation of the USA as recently demonstrated as yesterday in Boston.
