Our youngest voters won’t know that Former President George “W” Bush stated a mandate at the very beginning of his first term in that he retired to bed at 9:00 pm.
He had habits that allowed him to stay within the world he chose with his spouse rather than one of heavy partying and drinking. No one should fall short of admiring a man that can take control of his life and live it well.
Perhaps, President Biden received good advice about the quality of life rather than a life driven by unlimited service. I have to believe President Biden and First Lady Jill are doing what is best for the country. Hopefully these evenings together will allow them to reflect on what they can contribute versus what they maybe missing if President Niden retired.
It isn’t easy to walk away from service to this country when it has been a focus for so long. I wish everyone involved in making 2024 the best election yet for Democrats the best of luck, but, also great insight to the best path forward.
