Oh, that. How is the war on youth going?

Hasn't the shooter declared self defense yet for those nasty other kids trying to take his gun away from him and stating they were going to end his life?

So, do tell, how proud is a parent that has a child sitting in prison for the rest of his natural life after killing and maiming his peers? Real accomplishment in life, yes? Don't have to worry about college costs or paying off the head coach to secure a scholarship.

Oxford Charter Township - Students at Oxford High School (click here) in suburban Detroit rushed for cover and barricaded classroom doors with chairs when they heard the first gunshots on Tuesday afternoon. Within five minutes, the authorities said, a 15-year-old sophomore at the school had shot 11 people, killing three of his fellow students and leaving others with critical injuries.

The authorities identified the dead as Hana St. Juliana, 14; Madisyn Baldwin, 17; and Tate Myre, 16, who died in a sheriff’s squad car while on the way to a hospital. The injured students ranged in age from 14 to 17, officials said, including three who were in critical condition and another who was in serious condition. The only adult who was shot, a 47-year-old teacher, had been discharged from a hospital.

“I was just kind of sitting there shaking,” said Dale Schmalenberg, 16, who said he was in calculus class when his teacher heard a gunshot and locked down the classroom. “I didn’t really know how to respond.”

The rampage at Oxford High School, north of Detroit in Oakland County, was the deadliest shooting on school property this year, according to Education Week, which tracks such shootings and has reported 28 of them in 2021....

This one wasn't a mass shooting so it doesn't make headlines.

Aurora - Three 16-year-old boys have been charged with attempted murder (click here) in a Nov. 19 Hinkley High School parking lot shooting that left three teenage students wounded, setting off a storm of investigation and worry across the region.

Police said their investigation revealed the shooting was gang-related after boys accused of shooting said they were armed at the school in fear they would be jumped during a fight with rival gang members.

Four other boys were named in arrest affidavits but have not been charged with crimes, even though they, too, were implicated in the court documents. Police declined to answer questions about the investigation, referring queries to the district attorney’s office.

Facing four counts of attempted first-degree murder and multiple other charges are Larry Renee Jefferson, Dalen Lenale Brewer and Diego Flores. Another boy, wounded while riding inside the truck, was not charged....

It must be a badge of honor these days to be arrested for murder as a teenager. If they organize their friends they can have a real revolution going in the shadows of Harris and Klebold.

The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office announced the 15-year-old’s arrest, Shore Daily News reported.

Nicholas Kyle Joseph died Oct. 14 after he was shot multiple times in a vehicle the previous afternoon in Onancock, Virginia, the news outlet reported.

The 15-year-old and a 17-year-old are each charged with first- and second-degree murder and use of a firearm while committing a robbery.

The 15-year-old was a new student at Eastern High and enrolled in early November, weeks after the killing, sources told News4.

The arrest at the Northeast D.C. school occurred the same day an 18-year-old student was found to have a “ghost gun,” in an unrelated case....
