Do I understand Trump held a rally in the Congressional District of Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (click here) after making the initial hate tweet about her and then asserted more hate at her?

This action is provocative in a way that is known to danger the Congresswoman's life. I think since she can now file a lawsuit in her own district citing Trump's words and the actions of his followers, she should do so. Be sure to name those, no matter how they identify themselves, that have leveled threats against her in that lawsuit. I think she has a legitimate claim now that Trump is taking his hate speech to her home.

I might add, Trump has resources within his family's influence that can find the effectiveness of his hate speech. These statements by Trump are not benign of having intimate relationships with Muslim leaders of other countries.

Congresswoman Ilhan Omar should know her freedom of speech does not mean she has to change her words in order to express herself. She might even cite some of the horrible language used by the Republicans in their districts and how it can inspire hate. If her expressions of her context seem disordered to other Americans, if it makes sense to her constituents, which I assume are her refugee family, as well, that are now Americans, then it is important speech.

Congresswoman Ilhan Omar will find many at the United Nations offended by Trump's victimization of an Abrahamic religion, too.

She may be misinterpreted at times, but, Republicans are often apologizing for their speech and expression of context.

She should not be inhibited in her expression as a Congresswoman. Her context is her's to explain if she feels the need. Certainly, a disordered expression of any kind will effect her perception, but, that never bothers Trump or the Republicans. It might even be enchanting to those at the United Nations who pride themselves in being interpreters of disordered speech.

At any rate, the threats against her are designed to effect her behavior and her expression. That is Un-American. Those threats need to be dealt with in a real way and the danger to her person minimized. Sometimes peer review is helpful, but, if she finds it an arrest of her personal style and inhibits her true expression, then it isn't beneficial peer review.

Communication rarely is said to serve oneself, unless mental health is lacking, so to reach those she wants to reach she should feel free to simply express herself. If she wants to reach others that may be strangers or even friendly strangers, she might employ a speechwriter.

It may be taht politically correct or acceptable may not be her style.
