This was I-40 in North Carolina after Florence. The ocean backed up the rivers and creeks to major floods carrying fish with it.

Some of those are very large fish. They weren't normally found in those creeks. The chronic flooding over days brought ocean and Cape Fear River fish into creeks that carried them ALIVE across I-40. Consider that an omen.

Hurricane Michael (click here) is barrelling towards Florida with an increasing risk of life-threatening storm surges, heavy rainfall and dangerous winds ahead of landfall today.

The NHC said the centre of Michael is now just 100 miles from Florida and was making its rapid approach towards landfall.

Michael is currently a category 4 hurricane - meaning if the winds continue to strengthen, it could become the most powerful hurricane to hit the Florida Panhandle in history.

Some areas, including Western Cuba, Florida Panhandle and Big Ben should be braced for up to 12 inches of torrential rainfall, which could lead to life threatening flash floods.
