This is Russia's answer to Israel ending munition sales to Hezbollah.

Hezbollah is not a country and it has to be addressed, not Israel. Hezbollah is not only a direct threat to Israel, but, Lebanon as well. Defending Syria to this degree is not settling any threat from Hezbollah.

The video below is from 2011.

Russia said Monday (click here) it would equip Syria with sophisticated air defense systems, a move that could worsen a rift with Israel by limiting its ability to bomb across its northern border.

Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said Moscow would send Russia’s powerful S-300 ground-to-air missile systems to Syria, a longtime ally, in the next two weeks. Israel, which has repeatedly bombed Iranian targets in Syria, has long opposed such deliveries, and Russia up to now has refrained from supplying the weapons.

But the downing last week of a Russian reconnaissance plane with 15 service members aboard changed the dynamic. The plane was shot down by a Syrian missile, but Russia faulted Israel for the crash because an Israeli fighter jet allegedly had used the Russian plane as a screen against Syria’s air defenses....

What could Nasrallah hope to gain from such weaponry? This is not the way to provide for a future. The war between these countries needs to stop before it begins.

The leader of Lebanon's militant Hezbollah (click here) boasted Thursday the group now possesses "highly accurate" missiles despite Israeli attempts to prevent it from acquiring such weapons.

Hassan Nasrallah didn't offer specifics on the precision weapons, but his comments prompted a reply from Israel's Prime Minister.

Benjamin Netanyahu warned the Hezbollah leader that "if he confronts us, he will receive a lethal blow that he can't even imagine."

Israel worries that Hezbollah has been improving its capabilities and Israeli officials have said they will not allow "game-changing" weapons, such as guided missiles, to reach the group....

It fairly obvious where the money for Hezbollah's expansion is coming from. Nasrallah is actually a party to this? He is sanctioning this level of drug dealing and crime?

Assad Ahmad Barakat (click here) was detained near the border with Paraguay and Argentina.

He is wanted for identity theft in Paraguay, where he previously served six years in prison for tax evasion.

The police in Argentina have accused Barakat of laundering $10m (£7.6m) on behalf of Hezbollah at a casino in the Iguazu Falls area.

Barakat, a Lebanese national, was detained in the Brazilian city of Foz do IguaƧu.

The US has long expressed concern about Islamist activities among the sizeable Arab community in the region, known as the Triple Frontier.

The area attracts tourists from all over the world, who travel to see the waterfalls and the luxuriant tropical forest.

But it also has a reputation as a centre for large-scale smuggling and drug-trafficking.

In 2006, the US Treasury Department described Barakat as a "global terrorist" and included his name on a list of people in the Triple Frontier area who helped finance Hezbollah....

This is from Sputnik. How is a continued killing in Syria at all justified. This is not justified.

..."Hezbollah (click here) has vastly expanded and solidified its network, which is already global in nature, boasting an infrastructure that spans Latin America, sub-Saharan Africa, and Southeast Asia. Closer to home in the region, Hezbollah’s partnerships with Iraqi militias and Houthi rebels in Yemen have also become more functional, serving as a force multiplier for the group and helping to extend its tentacles into new fronts," the report said....

...Hezbollah, founded in the 1980s, is a paramilitary and political organization originating in Lebanon's Shiite population. The group originally aimed to end Israel's occupation of southern Lebanon. Hezbollah's military wing is currently active in Syria, where it is fighting on behalf of the government of President Bashar Assad.

More killing is not justified and Nasrallah knows it. See, the escalation is not at all justified. So, basically, what Nasrallah is saying is that this is a defensive posture and not one that will propagate a greater war. That makes sense coming from him.

THERE NEEDS TO BE A SUMMIT!

The leader of Lebanon's Hezbollah militia (click here) said Wednesday his group may reduce the number of its fighters in Syria because of an easing of the conflict, particularly after a recent Russian-Turkey agreement that prevented an offensive on the last rebel stronghold.

Hassan Nasrallah welcomed the agreement signed on Monday in Sochi, Russia, calling it a "step on the road to making a political solution possible."

It "will take Syria in the next weeks and months to a new phase," Nasrallah said in a televised speech to supporters. He said the deal's success will depend whether it's properly implemented.

The deal calls for a demilitarized area around the Idlib enclave separating Syrian government forces and opposition fighters. It also calls for removing radical groups as well as heavy weapons from the area and for coordinated Russian and Turkish patrols to monitor the agreement.

Nasrallah said despite the calm prevailing on different front lines in Syria, his group will keep its fighters there.

"The calm on the front lines may naturally affect the number of forces present" as responsibilities and threat levels change, Nasrallah said. However, he added, "We are staying even after the settlement in Idlib."...

This is all a knee jerk reaction to munition movements inside Syria. Everyone is guessing at the outcomes and to Israel any munitions to Hezbollah is an issue of Israel's national defense. There is no communication and Israel is doing what comes naturally. There needs to be better communication while defensive postures are being carried out. I do not believe placing S-300s is a solution so much as an escalation.
