The paradigm are the worst instincts of people. When I am faced with hate speech in my own life I plan to do something about it. Where hate speech has succeeded is the manifestation of violence where none has ever existed before.
Hate speech is empowerment.
Hate speech is bullying.
Hate speech carries real consequences.
Where I am faced with hate speech, I will document it on my phone and report it to local police. The haters will accumulate enough reports that the prosecutors cannot ignore.
Additionally, I can file complaints with the police and the courts, too. With documentation I will have absolute proof to the attempts by others to bring disorder and ultimately violence to my life. If I can properly name a hater and have papers served it will be the judge to carry justice forward. I will look forward to the hearing.
Documented hate speech can be posted on social media so local officials know their citizens are in danger. If citizens are in danger so are local economies.
The hate speech is no longer an issue of turning the other cheek. Protect oneself and family from hate inspired by dangerous politicians.
