The Venezuelan theater is an abject failure. Yes, Maduro is in the New York City prison along with his wife and they have faced their first arraignment. But, the freely elected president has yet to take her place and the next inline with the Maduro government is in power. As if a payment were required Trump stole the oil from a tanker and sold it. There were also extrajudicial murders.
The only person in the Middle East that wasn’t surprised by the attacks by the USA was Netanyahu. There was absolutely no preparation for the aggression into Iran by the USA. Embassy staff wasn’t told and in turn every tourist from the Free World was in the line of fire.
The Mideast theater never saw preparedness. The Kuwaitis were never brought on board and as a result three expensive USA fighter jets were shot down by friendly fire.
Then for a completely unknown reason the USA jets had to fuel up in mid flight. There were two aircraft carriers in the region. As a result of deregulation by Hegseth all safety procedures were dissolved and the fuel tankers were in frequent flight rotation. As a result of that grossly uninformed decision making one tanker crashed to the ground while another was taking flight. It isn’t Newatk International Airport with a control tower and personnel tracking the entire mess. I don’t know why I even brought that up because within days of taking office a helicopter and jet were in flames on the ground in DC.
With all these failures and Trump’s knee jerk decision making our allies still willing to be loyal to the USA. Their decision making is correct. Ceasefire and then protection of ships transiting the Persian Gulf and passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran is not a disarmed Iraq.
Iran is not a grossly poor Afghanistan where soldiers were greater by villagers with donkeys.
Iran is a Shi’ite homeland with its own resources and allies. The Free World has never been welcome in the Persian Gulf where pirates make a living and Iranian zodiacs chase USA military ships. All of a sudden a completely incompetent administration believes they can change all that while hijacking the USA military. Any civilized human being would be in great danger no matter the armor plating to think a ceasefire wasn’t absolutely necessary.
Trump and Hegseth need to be reasonable and get rid of the idea they are accomplishing great feats of warfare. They aren’t. Our defense contractors, MIT, and the American people’s tax dollar created a defense that is unchallenged and it was hijacked by racketeers. No one voted for this. No one.
