Incredible news day in the USA today.

The Supreme Court has been very helpful to stabilize our Constitution and democracy.

Just a word about Trump and his peace process. Two words, really.

Proxy wars.

Additionally, Trump has been involved with business dealings with these countries. If one takes a close look at the international business of the Trump Company it conducted business within and on the periphery of Russia for a long time. The Muller Investigation brought most of these facts to the surface.

Trump’s approach is not regarded as a viable peace regardless of signatures on a page. Why? Corruption. Where there is Putin, there is corruption. If Trump conducted his business in the USA as he has abroad he would have been in prison a long time ago.

A lot of the conflicts Trump is attempting to settle are accompanied by millions if not billions of dollars. Trump knows where the money has to go because he has been involved with these governments before. Many of these conflicts are fueled not so much by sincere conflict over the style of government they seek, but, by opposing powers outside the conflict. In other words Russia has been stirring the pot and providing arms to whichever side benefits Russia, while the opposing side looks for help from other interested parties.

There is a right way and wrong way to  go about peace agreements. When
Ukraine became interested in the EU it first had to clean up the corruption before being interested in signing a trade agreement.

Corruption is a cancer on display and spreading like wildfire in the USA. When peace agreements are based on financial terms there is no firm footing so much as a roll of the dice. Trump thinks he can buy peace by shutting down humanitarian aid and using it as a bribe (incentive) to end conflicts. Once the promised money is gone there may or may not be a firm economy to stabilize peace and result in countries that can stand on their own well into the future.

Viable countries based in democratic principles are complex and require investment in more than tourist attractions. Countries need a brain trust to begin and financial stability to foster that brain trust to establish all the bases of strong people holding onto their new found peace. The USA is demonstrating to the world such a dynamic when strong beliefs are held dear by those understanding the depth of democracy and the right to freedom. Those are the principles that build great countries and alliances that are rock solid and last through time for generations.

Please don’t get me wrong, there is nothing more I would love to see but for the world to find a strong will to end war and establish peaceful processes that will last forever. The younger generations have far greater challenges than any other generation before them. It should be that reality the global community embraces as there is no time for war and certainly no monies to spare for hate and fear. When there is war, there is hardship. That will not build a future to support life and quality of life for time unending.

I hope the leaders signing peace agreements find the way for their people to establish greatness in their own hopes and dreams for themselves and their children. It will take vision and strong leadership to achieve a peaceful country that holds unshakeable values.

Peace and prosperity go together no different than war and suffering does. Peace builds, war destroys. It will ultimately be upto the people of these countries to grab onto an opportunity to launch peaceful stability for their children. These countries and leadership must reach for autonomy and reject the temptation of corruption that is more a quick fix than a lasting vision.
