There remains enormous differences in outcomes with minorities in the USA. If minorities cannot get fair representation how are they going to solve their problems? Representation is far more than politics, it is about quality of life.
Even today having served “their time” in prison is not good enough in some states to allow former inmates the return of their voting rights.
