And, “The Boys Club,” likes the continuity of the threat. Yes?
If women would behave themselves they would still be pulling in those Big Bucks, and I am not talking deer.
There are eight women standing up for dignity at work. They have talent and don’t date the boss. These eight women did not decide over tea there should be a way to drain the coffers of Space X, especially when realizing the salary check Musk is requesting.
That did not happen.
What did happen is that eight very talented women went to work for Space X and received a hostile work environment in appreciation of their diligence.
That did happen.
Now, these talented engineers were fired due to their demands in a lawsuit. They have recourse in their lives. NASA is always looking for good engineers and so is NOAA. There are also other private space companies, Galactica, Blue Origins, and Boeing just had a successful launch. Any one of those space agencies would be happy to hire a former Space X employee.
When these eight women get their justice they might want to open a private company run by women to lead the future of space travel. I think they will rise above these realities, value their contributions, and move forward.
I am sorry there are still Neanderthal bosses who believe they can exercise control over their sexual habits and culture in the work place. They still exist and are managing to find reasons to retry their cases to leave prison. It is called sexual assault. A hostile work environment drains the impetus to excellence and replaces it with distraction and withdrawal from appreciation in the workplace. It is hugh and I wish these ladies great success in their lawsuit and future endeavors.
Look, if women don’t set the tone for excellence in the workplace, their daughters will be at risk in the future.
