Ida was a Category 4 at landfall. There are people dead. I guarantee it.

It would be nice if Dora would just continue up the coast to California.

Hurricane Ida (click here) is battering Louisiana with catastrophic storm surge, flash flooding, and extreme winds.

Ida's winds are now at 125 mph and the storm is moving at just 10 mph.

As of 6 p.m. Ida is passing just east of Mathews.

On the forecast track, the center of Ida will move farther inland over southeastern Louisiana tonight.

Within the last hour in Jefferson Parish, sustained winds of 48 mph were reported with gusts up to 82 mph.

The New Orleans Lakefront Airport reported a sustained wind of 58 mph with a wind gust of 83 mph....
