Every resident in Flint, Michigan knew the emergency manager law was killing people.

It is one thing for people to understand their own reality, but, all too often anymore those facts are REPLACED with other contrived realities in an effort to make it go away for the purpose of politics and court fights. So, while this study may seem silly to many, it also is necessary. This study is indisputable. A court of law or political dialogue can't negate the findings of experts that examined all the facts.

So, here it is. We now can say officially Rick Snyder's exercising of the emergency manager law killed and maimed the people of Flint, Michigan.

The state’s emergency manager law (click here) effectively silenced of the voices of Flint citizens during the city’s water crisis, allowing it to develop and grow, according to a new study by the University of Michigan School of Public Health.

The study found that the “virtually unfettered legal authority” of emergency managers in Flint deprived residents of a democratically accountable local government, and also found that “the complex legal arrangements governing public health and safe drinking water, combined with a lack of legal preparedness among governmental officials, prevented timely and effective actions to mitigate or avert the Flint water crisis.”...
