Tom Cotton states there will be no peace with Iran. Jerks.

I have to apologize. I forgot Tom Cotton went to the Senate. The video clip sounds just like someone from the House. He hasn't changed a bit. I am rather surprised the Majority Leader approved of this kind of behavior.

And it is correct this is not a treaty. It is a ten year agreement. President Obama doesn't need any consent.

I think Cotton is competing with Cruz for attracting the most nut cases in the country.

But, the agreement has a clear understanding this is a substitution for any potential to nuclear conflict. This is not really an arms treaty. Iran has the right to complain that all people working on this agreement are being undermined for political purposes by USA Republicans. I wish the P5+1 would find a way to discipline the US Senate Republicans for their willingness to derail a peace process.

The Republicans have high aspirations for the next president of the USA. They aren't instilling a great deal of confidence in the electorate by conducting themselves outside the US Constitution. What kind of a statement inflames relations with other allies that have worked this hard and acted in good faith. Cotton just as much attacked the US's allies as he did Iran. He knows nothing about the outcomes of the negotiations, but, yet he and all the others are suddenly the ones in control. Bizarre. Completely bizarre. Complete disrespect for our African American President.
The more I think about this it is actually an enforcement action under the NPT. This is not at all a treaty. Iran is a member to the NPT (Non-Proliferation Nuclear Weapons Treaty). The USA is also a member to the treaty and a permanent member of the UN Security Council. It is important the USA is involved to enforce the treaty.

But, that is what this is and the idea there is a methodology at least in draft form to prevent Break Out is nothing short of genius.

The USA Senate is out of line. The Senate has absolutely no role at all in these negotiations.

Shame on Mitch McConnell, he knows better than this and he allowed this tirade. It would be nice if the USA stood firm with it's COMMITMENTS to the global community without playing politics all the time. Even in majority the Senate Republicans can't behave long enough to actually have dignity and afford the same to the country in international COMMITMENTS.

The USA ratified this treaty a long time ago. The US Senate and whoever else signed the letter identify only one ally and that is Israel and Israel is not part of this enforcement process. Israel has absolutely no authority to this process and should be grateful the USA is participating.

President Obama is due an apology from everyone that signed that letter. Then the same group can compose an apology to the others involved in these talks. And Cotton actually believes this is good politics, huh? Undermining a President involved with enforcement measures to prevent nuclear proliferation. They can forget the presidency for a long time if they are going to toy with nuclear proliferation as an agenda item.
