The United States of America National Athem written by Francis Scott Key

The music was taken from "To Anacreon in Heaven" by the otherwise unknown Englishman John Stafford Smith.

Oh-oh say can you see,
by the dawn's early light,
what so proudly we hailed,
at the twilight's last gleaming?

Who broad stripes and bright stars,
through the perilous fight,
or the ramparts we watched,
were so gallantly streaming.

And the rocket's red glare,
the bombs burst in air,
gave proof through the night,
that our flag was still there.

Oh say does that star spangled banner yet wave,
O'er the land of the free, and the home of the brave?
