September 24, 2005. The two Atlantic storms have turned into parrallel vortices. "Rita" is over the North American Continent while "Phillipe" is over the Atlantic. There is also a third storm that has passed Hawaii called "Jova" which has lined up on the same latitude as the two Atlantic storms. Or better noted the other Atlantic and North American storms. Easily noted is the direct connection to the Arctic Ocean vortex by "Jova" and "Rita" but less obvious is that of "Phillipe" which is also stated in it's more diffuse 'eye'/circulation center. "Phillipe" takes a narrower and southern track before returning back to the northern connection to the Arctic Vortex traveling at a lower altitude and also toward Europe. Posted by Picasa
