June 28, 2005. Dignity returned to Mukhtar Mai. I don't understand why MEN in Pakistan who uphold a woman's dignity would believe she stands for kind of negative image of Pakistan. Ms. Mai stands for a survivor of a horrible situation that is finally changing. She and the MEN of Pakistan who preserve her dignity are the NEW heroes of the country of Pakistan. I congratuate them all. The MEN of Pakistan need to find a pride in that and the fact women can make decisions as well. Ms. Mai has started educational OPPORTUNITIES for children in her village. Those children should be a source of pride to that village and to the MEN that send both their boys and girls to those schools. Pakistan has made a magnificent step forward in social reform. They need to take it further and comply with United Nations Human Rights provisions. I know they are capable of this. Children should be in school and not in child labor releaving debt they had nothing to do with.  Posted by Hello
