This is not pro-life, it is a political wedge issue.

A pro-life supporter in the Texas State capitol on July 1, 2013 in Austin, Texas.

The Texas debate over women's abortion rights continues to be plagued by lies. Considering this is such an enormous lie and it has gone mostly unchallenged by those interviewing Perry it is safe to say this is all for the purposes of political propaganda.

Rick Perry made his case for legislation to step up standards for Texas abortion clinics partly by saying abortions are common. "Abortion is the second-most conducted surgical procedure in this country," Perry said on the July 1, 2013, edition of Bill Bennett’s "Morning in America" radio program. He made a similar statement the same morning on KFYO, 790 AM in Lubbock.

Currently the population of the USA is composed of 50.8% women. In 2012 the census showed a population of 313,914,040 in the USA. That means there are 159,468,332 women. Approximately 46.3 percent are of non-child bearing age, IF one calls child bearing age to begin at the age of 18. That leaves 85,634,494 women of child bearing age of 18 or older and less than 65 years old.

Current statistics as of 2012 show a reflection in the drop in abortions in the USA to about 1.2 million per year in the USA. These include teenage, unwed mothers as well as mature women able to make their own decisions about their lives. Abortion is allowed by many religions as a matter a woman has to discern herself. The USA is host to many religions, including Christianity a Abrahamic religion, but all peoples have the same rights. These laws remove the safety of women to have care in ways that protect their own lives and that of their families.

Considering of the 85,634,494 women of childbearing age over the age of 18 in the USA, that means less than 1.5% of those women seek abortion as an answer to their pregnancy outcomes. Those are very rough statistics and when the field is more accurate the percentage may show as many as 1.75% at the very most.

The CDC table below shows the surgical "Short Stay" procedures performed in the USA in 2010. (click here)

Arteriography and angiocardiography using contrast material: 2.4 million

Cesarean section:1.3 million

The Governor has been caught lying.

I remind Governor Perry stated:

"Abortion is the second-most conducted surgical procedure in this country," Perry said on the July 1, 2013.

That means one can compare all surgeries, including those in hospitals to the abortion rate and not just in a focused view of "Short Stay Procedures" which would make the Governor's lie, not just a lie, but a real whopper.

There are oil seeps in New Zealand and there is harvesting of oil along the techtonic fault.

That does not necessarily mean oil seeps and drilling are the same thing. Oil seeps are very passive movement while drilling is completely disruptive.

Oil and gas naturally rise towards the earth’s surface wherever there is a way up. If fault lines, fissures or cracks allow, petroleum emerges on the ground as sticky, oily deposits known as seeps. Early oil exploration in New Zealand focused on drilling in the vicinity of these seeps. However, it did not always follow that there was oil directly below, as the oil and gas might have taken a winding path.

Passive evacuation of oil from a tectonic fault which occurs in Taranaki, will only react to pressure provided from the fault itself.  However, introducing a drill to such a fault and then adding water and/or chemicals in the process of drilling begins to melt the rock that stabilizes the fault and will cause instability.

Moturoa field, Taranaki (click here)

Seepages (places where oil seeps out of the ground) were the first sites that oil drillers targeted in New Zealand. Known seepages occur on the New Plymouth foreshore, Kōtuku on the West Coast, and Waitangi, north of Gisborne. At New Plymouth, bubbles of gas were seen along the coast, and on calm days an oily sheen could be seen on the sea water. In early 1865, gunsmith Edward M. Smith collected samples of oil he found among boulders at Ngāmotu Beach, on the New Plymouth foreshore. He sent them to Britain for analysis. Following this, the Taranaki provincial government offered £400 for the discovery of a commercial find of petroleum.

The current fields offshore from New Plymouth are a somewhat reasonable distance from the fault. However, over time there will be subsidence of the land in the area. That subsidence brings with it the potential to cause greater instability in the area of the fault.

The map below is since the Texas oil man George W. Bush was President of the USA. There are identified areas of exclusive economic zone which includes the area of the tectonic plates involved.

This map also shows extended continental shelf. That means the mainland of New Zealand is a part of that continental shelf including the fault zone. If there is undersea subsidence that does not exempt the mainland of New Zealand from earthquakes.

These earthquakes have been completely disruptive to New Zealand. This is not something that can nor should be dismissed.

A helicopter rescue (click here) to save an historic lighthouse balanced precariously on the edge of a cliff will soon be under way in New Zealand.

The Godley Head lighthouse near Christchurch was first lit in April 1865. After two earthquakes in 2011, the structure was left clinging to the cliffs over Mechanics Bay.

TV New Zealand reports that rescuers plan to rappel down the cliff face to remove the lighthouse's copper dome and lantern housing, which will then be lifted by helicopter to another site.

The stone building that housed the lighthouse keepers and their families until the lighthouse was automated in 1976 will be left behind.

This will only prove to get worse with additional drilling by the petroleum industry. How can any legislator provide leases to this industry with a clear conscience when New Zealand continues to experience instability that imperils it's citizens already.

With the capacity of horizontal drilling and the drilling that already exists in New Zealand, the opportunity to provide instability to that tectonic fault by this industry is still not yet known.

Remember all the earthquakes in New Zealand? No? There is a recent video.

The potential for oil exploration around New Zealand is barely understood, Texas oil giant Anadarko says.

Its New Zealand corporate affairs manager, Alan Seay, who was in Blenheim yesterday, said exploration to date "hasn't even scratched the surface".

The comment came in a private meeting of 80 people in which the company outlined its controversial plans to explore three areas, including the Pegasus Basin off the Marlborough and Wairarapa coastlines.

Anadarko won the rights for oil exploration in New Zealand through the Government's oil and gas exploration tender process.

The plans have triggered fierce opposition in Kaikoura, with about 500 people lining the beachfront last month in protest against deep-sea drilling.
The company was a stakeholder in the Deepwater Horizon oil rig which exploded, causing an oil spill disaster in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010.

Mr Seay used the Blenheim meeting to tell his audience about the potential for the petrol production industry in New Zealand....

This is the very active techtonic plate which crosses through New Zealand. Drilling anywhere in New Zealand is not an option.

Recall now what is known about subsidence and earthquakes regarding the petroleum industry and it's drilling.

Drilling anywhere near New Zealand is very dangerous business. Does that mean the petroleum industry has a conscience about the reality of the people of that country?

No.

The petroleum industry understands ONLY ONE THING; that is profits. That industry could not care less about the huge problems they are going to cause the people of New Zealand, their government and the future of their children.

Don't bother appealing to the senses of the people of Texas they don't have control of the industry or the oil tycoon itching for more money in his pocket; the government of New Zealand has stop this. The big yellow spot off the southwest shoreline of the Southern Island on the oil man's map is directly in the path of Christchurch, New Zealand stability.

The people of New Zealand have to oppose this, they do not have a choice.

The Dutch are correct. Offshore drilling dose cause significant damage to the land.

The last tremor, (click here) registering 3.0 on the Richter scale, hit the nearby village of Garrelsweer late on Tuesday night and rocked a dyke holding back the North Sea - fuelling fears that gas extraction could lead to major earthquake disaster in Holland.

These low level quakes, down to 1.3, are indicative of hydraulic fracturing as well. It is a fact. Proven.

"It was like a tractor crashing into my house," said Elly Broekmans, who suffered extensive damage to her property including widening cracks in structural walls.
The government and the consortium responsible for the drilling concede that the earthquakes are caused by the extraction of natural gas from shale rocks deep below the Groningen region, where there are up 1,800 natural faults in the porous Rotliegend sandstone subsurface..

Then there is this. The chronic subsidence of New Orleans, Louisiana.

When one realizes the only place the land in New Orleans is at all above sea level are the levies lining the bayou (waterway) it is completely obvious this city has significant problems directly related to offshore drilling.

The subsidence of New Orleans due to the offshore drilling directly caused the flooding and deaths of the citizens of the Ninth Ward during Katrina. If the wetlands were intact and the land never sunk the citizens would would still be alive. Considering the petroleum industry does NOTHING for improving the quality of life of the people of New Orleans, this is complete oppression of the public trust to benefit no one.

The Dutch should hold the those causing the disturbance responsible. There are well documented cases both in subsidence and earthquake related to the drilling practices of the petroleum industry.

...Fluid Withdrawal (click here)

Most of the case studies about þuid withdrawal are related to water, because water is often pumped from rather shallow, poorly-consolidated rocks and soils, but pumping out oil from shallow reservoirs can and does give similar effects.
Two oil fields have been particularly well studied: the Goose Creek oil field in Texas, and the Wilmington oil field in Long Beach Harbor, California. Each is close to sealevel, so that the subsidence became obvious very quickly. Subsidence in the Wilmington oil field caused a great deal of damage because it was in the center of a busy port and industrial area, and it can be used to demonstrate the problem most effectively. In the greater Houston area, subsidence was first noticed over the Goose Creek oil field, but by now the area is having far greater problems with groundwater pumping than it ever did with oil extraction....

Ill will, spite and hatred.

I want to resist to comment about this trial until the jury retires for deliberations, however, a couple of things.

Mark Marin has done his homework and Mr. Zimmerman is well served by his attorney. Mr. Zimmerman would never, have ever received this level of analysis by a public defender.

One of the aspects of Second Degree Murder is the component of "deranged mind."

Marin makes the point there has to be a history to prove ill will, spite and hatred and "...people that know each other before the event..." I do not believe that is correct. It is a more than interesting approach, but, there are other methods of ill will, spite and hatred. There can be a completely disassociated relationship and still have ill will, spite and hatred.

The jury needs to discern the truth.

Point of pride for the USA

Today in "Business Insider."

You just have to wait long enough for Wall Street to make fools of themselves.

The United States Has The Most Potent Capture And Kill Operation In The History Of The World (click here)
Michael Kelly

....JSOC even ran an interrogation program, parallel to the CIA’s black sites, that would provide the administration with even more flexibility and less oversight.

Rumsfeld worked to make sure that the unit was “unrestrained and unaccountable to anyone except him, Cheney, and the president” while Cheney began going to JSOC headquarters at Fort Bragg in North Carolina to give direct action orders.

That is my favorite picture of Dick. It has an authenticity no other picture portrays. This is before his heart transplant.

“It grew and went out of control under the vice president. It kinda went wild,” Vincent Cannistraro, a career CIA counterterrorism officer, told Scahill. “There were a couple of places where, because they weren’t coordinated, they weren’t informed, they killed people that were not real targets. They were wrong. It happened, frequently.”

In September 2003 JSOC, led by Gen. Stanley McChrystal, was running the show in Iraq, including training Iraqi Special Ops units that became unaccountable death squads.

It was also making its presence known in Afghanistan.
Lt. Col. Anthony Shaffer (Ret.), a career military intelligence officer who wrote the book “Operation Dark Heart,” wrote that JSOC’s force in Afghanistan “had the best technology, the best weapons, the best people — and plenty of money to burn....

Rumsfeld always dreamed of the robotic military. Getting close. By the time the USA gets the robotic military ready the Chinese hackers will be able to control it if Snowden doesn't beat them to it.

The sulfur lingers still.

This point of reference should give the American media a great deal of security. The hatred will at least begin their dialogue to continue it.

President Morales has proven the ill will of The West.

President Morales episode with free wheeling power by The West proves the dialogue they deny.

The West has a dialogue about other nations. As Allies they even have a dialogue about each other. That self-righteous tone even provided Bush and Bushies with the condemnation of France and the French people when an illegal and immoral war was declared.

But, the dialogue The West has regarding other nations is always aggressive and victimizing. It is part of the push button political machines within the countries themselves.

The political dialogue about Russia as the Evil Empire is suppose to sustain the politicians in The West regardless of the dissolution of the USSR. Latin America is crude and stupid and substance abusing. That 'image' of Lain America carries over into the dialogue regarding immigration reform in the USA. If a person doesn't know, understand or speak English that proves them unworthy of their rightful place in citizenship in the USA. The immigrates that work the agricultural fields that feeds entire USA are within the country illegally and are criminals. They are unworthy of amnesty and unworthy of being an American at all. The Republicans embrace that and even view their own Senator Rubio as unworthy of their support in a bill to provide a path to USA citizenship.

The West's dialogue is mostly diluted about Pacific nations. Japan has proven a great ally to Wall Street so it has become more worthy of being an ally than others. Australia has a macho dialogue to bolster the USA 'man cave values' with their "Fosters" so they are even more worthy in many ways than the puny Japanese.

But, the macho man of Latin America is a point of ridicule by women in the USA. Macho men are condescending, insensitive and out of touch. Perhaps the men of Latin America should be drinking "Fosters" when women say these demeaning things.

But, as to President Morales. The West has proven unworthy of being considered anything but brutal regimes of aggressive demands upon nations they have a poor dialogue. The West's politicians thirst for power dialogues within their countries and President Morales was the latest victim. His willingness to have his plane searched by giving permission defused the aggression of The West, but, it also made fools of them.

The USA says "Ouch" at it's own hand of loose national security standards that victimize citizens' privacy and allows Wall Street open access and it's allies ask "How high do we have to jump to help?" The latest global episode of aggression by The West only proved whom is more savvy about the peace the world longs for and the ignorance of all those that consider themselves superior.

The West can hold all the condescending global meetings they want, but, until they actually prove to have intelligence to match their treasuries and GDP we will all continue to laugh at their stupidity and 'the tail' their 'doggie attitudes, policies and aggressions' chase.

The president (click here) and people of Bolivia have every right now to feel as if they are second-class citizens of the world — their independence maligned, their nationality suspect and all stemming from the high-handed manner in which Austrian authorities have acted. During a recent stopover in Vienna, while on a government jet, Bolivia’s President Evo Morales and Defence Minister Ruben Soto had to endure the humiliating experience of having their plane searched — all in a futile hunt for whistleblower Edward Snowden. Snowden is seeking asylum in any one of a score of countries and is holed up in the transit zone of a Moscow airport.

Given that the South American nations are friendly to WikiLeaks, its ideals and its cadres, the Vienna government — presumably acting on a request from Washington — embarked on the search for Snowden when the Bolivian jet landed. Under no circumstances should the long-standing and internationally agreed and accepted principle of diplomatic immunity be violated. Searching a government plane, with the sovereign leader of the Bolivian nation on board, is not acceptable. Can one imagine the cries and actions of the US if, for example, Air Force One was boarded and searched?

The reality is that as long as the US embarks on a policy of wrongdoing, scanning the phone records and internet postings of citizens all over the world, there will always be those who have the moral courage to speak — or leak — in the interests of all.

President Obama gave a great speech to these 'near border' countries.

12:17 P.M. EDT
THE PRESIDENT: Hey, guys. You guys have a seat -- thanks. (click here) This is nice. This is a nice view, huh? Oh, it's beautiful. Did you guys go out last night, by the way? (Laughter.) Chuck Todd, did I see you on the cruise ship? (Laughter.)
MR. TODD: That wasn't me.
THE PRESIDENT: Well, we just concluded a very productive summit. And I want to thank the people of Trinidad and Tobago for their wonderful hospitality and their gracious welcome. I want to thank Prime Minister Manning and First Lady Manning, his government, for the hospitality they've shown me and our entire delegation.
This summit has been held at a time of great challenge and great opportunity for the United States and the Americas. The consequences of a historic economic crisis are being felt across the hemisphere, putting new pressure on peoples and governments that are already strained. Migration to and from each of our nations has serious implications for all nations. The safety and security of our citizens is endangered by drug trafficking, lawlessness and a host of other threats. Our energy challenge offers us a chance to unleash our joint economic potential, enhance our security and protect our planet. And too many citizens are being denied dignity and opportunity and a chance to live out their dreams in Cuba and all across the hemisphere....

And President Morales came away with a new willingness and openness to the USA.

And now because of a stupid incident over a Carlyle computer hacker all that has gone to waste. All the work, all the good will, all the policy and don't forget the money.

I am a little bit tired of the politics in the USA. It is redundantly stupid and this tops it all. I really don't care whom's dreamscape this is and I mean I really don't care.

Wall Street runs the United States of American to the extent we cannot make progress in relations and trust with other nations. So, whoever did this is nothing more than a puppet to Wall Street without holding THEM accountable. But, they'll hold the President of Bolivia accountable though. Oh, yeah. Hold him accountable, but, Carlyle and their Board? What? That would be an abomination to the psychi of Wall Street.

I've had enough.

LA PAZ – Bolivia’s Evo Morales (click here) said Tuesday that U.S. President Barack Obama gave “important signals” that may permit a more favorable channeling of bilateral relations, which have deteriorated this past year.

At a press conference, Morales said that he was “surprised” by the speech Obama gave at the recent Summit of the Americas and he emphasized that the U.S. leader also made a statement condemning the alleged plot to kill the Bolivian president that was broken up last week.

“In Trinidad and Tobago we saw an important signal from President Obama that, after decades of (U.S.) political interventionism, declared that he is absolutely against that and condemns any kind of violent action against the Bolivian government,” Morales said.

He added that now he sees that it may be “possible to rechannel or redirect” relations if “this statement (is to be transformed) into real deeds.”

Relations between La Paz and Washington have been poor since September 2008 when Morales expelled then-U.S. Ambassador Phillip Goldberg on the accusation of meddling in Bolivia’s internal affairs....

President Obama's visit to Latin American in 2009 was one of hope and anticipation.

Wednesday, July 03, 2013

There are no words to express how bad an idea the interception of President Morales' plane has been. Really bad idea.

A man burns the French flag outside France's embassy in La Paz, Bolivia, Wednesday. Bolivia's President Evo Morales is returning home late today, after his plane was not allowed to fly in the airspace of France and other countries.

Let's just say the entire idea was completely and absolutely unthinkable. So, whomever believed it was okay to even think they could carry out such a plot is at least that much a threat to the USA national security and that of it's allies.

July 3, 2013

...Morales was forced to land (click here) at an airport in Vienna, Austria, where his plane landed after France, Spain, Portugal, and Italy reportedly refused permission to fly over their territories, as last night.

"Austrian officials said Morales' plane was searched early Wednesday by Austrian border police after Morales gave permission," . "Bolivian and Austrian officials both say Snowden was not on board."

"We're talking about the president on an official trip after an official summit being kidnapped," Bolivia's U.N. Ambassador Sacha Llorenti Soliz told reporters in Geneva, according to Britain's .

Speaking to reporters at Vienna's airport last night, Morales used similar language, adding that the governments of France, Italy, Portugal and Spain had made a mistake of historic proportions....

In order to understand how grievous this issue is every nation's leader should be in this circumstance and understand what occurred. This could be Angela Merkel, Vladimir Putin, David Cameron or Barak Obama.  The leaders of nations globally don't travel battle ready. They travel along secure flight paths to avoid danger. These flight paths are well planned.

The airports these leaders land in and take off from are ready to handle any emergency, medical or otherwise. There are people on standby to assist when government leaders attend important global meetings. These are huge events where many leaders attend. If for some reason there was some kind of tragedy at such a meeting there would be many nations with their leadership reacting to trauma. These meetings are very well planned, both for the sponsoring country and those attending. I kind of think of these meetings like the Olympics only of higher order of concern.

To think President Morales was removed from his secure flight path is the first insult to the security of that man and his status. To realize then he was forced to circle in airspace without a resolve is the second insult to the man and his status. To realize this is occurring in European airspace implicates the entire European Union and their standards for operation of such safe airspace. Then the plane was forced to find a place to land for the sake of fuel, either friendly or hostile. Then the plane was boarded while President Morales was forced to sit someplace unknown to his nation in a waiting room in an airport.

This is bizarre. This is more than bizarre. Bizarre is not allowed in the security of leaders of sovereign nations.

Now, what were the people that boarded looking for? Mr. Snowden. Based on what? Intelligence, information received from the Russia foreign service? Please some kind of reason other than a populous television show. Nope. The security of this man and his status was compromised because of a populous television show where he was living up to his image to the folks back hom.

This was not a reason to board a President's plane. Let's just take this one step further. What if Mr. Snowden actually had assistance by the stewardess he laid the night before and was smuggled on to the President's plane. Then he is found in a baggage compartment by those searching the plane. He is apprehended. What then happens to President Morales? Is he an accomplice? Does the government that searched his plane have plans to hold the plane without fuel and arrest President Morales.

To say this was a bad idea doesn't begin to explain how completely unthinkable these actions sincerely are.

You have to pay attention to the corruption to understand the level of disregard for citizens that exist.

Jeb Bush hosts fundraiser for Maine governor (click here)

July 02, 2013 22:28 EDT

KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine (AP) -- Last month, Maine Gov. Paul LePage surprised some observers by saying he might run for Congress. But he's confirmed at a fundraiser that he's committed to seeking re-election.
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush headlined the event Tuesday evening for Republican Gov. Paul LePage's re-election campaign. The fundraiser was held at the Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport, where Bush's father, former President George H.W. Bush, has a seaside retreat.
State Sen. Andre Cushing told news reporters that LePage told supporters he intends to seek a second term.
A private session and photo opportunity cost $2,000 per person or $3,000 per couple. General admission was $150. LePage will report his fundraising totals to election officials later this month.

Fair enough. Jeb Bush comes out to support an unpopular Governor lucky to be in office at all. The article below points to the fact Le Page was only elected by 38% of the vote because of a three way race. It is reasonable to believe Le Page is going to need all the help he can get in the next election. It all seem fairly "legit." The two governors worked together on education, too.

July 3, 2012

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush’s plans for 2016 are still unclear, (click here) but he is certain who he wants to be in the governors office in Maine.
According to the Portland Press Herald, Bush was the big draw at a $150-per person fundraiser for controversial Maine Gov. Paul LePage.
LePage is a Tea Party backed Republican who has caused a stir last year in Maine by comparing the IRS to the Nazi Gestapo.
And last month he vetoed the Maine Legislature entire state budget because it included a temporary sales tax increase. But the Legislature last week overrode his veto in a bipartisan vote because they said it would lead to government shutdowns.
LePage won just 38 percent of the vote to become Maine’s governor in 2010 in a three-way race.
A Bush spokesperson told the Associated Press that Bush and LePage have worked together in the past on education issues....

This is where it gets interesting. "You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours." How convenient. State treasuries just waiting for the wisdom of Jeb Bush.

E-mails link Bush foundation, corporations and education officials (click here)

By Valerie Strauss
January 30, 2013

A nonprofit group released thousands of e-mails today and said they show how a foundation begun by Jeb Bush, the former Florida governor and national education reform leader, is working with public officials in states to write education laws that could benefit some of its corporate funders.
A call to the foundation has not been returned.

The e-mails are between the Foundation for Excellence in Education (FEE) and a group Bush set up called Chiefs for Change, whose members are current and former state education commissioners who support Bush’s agenda of school reform, which includes school choice, online education, retention of third-graders who can’t read and school accountability systems based on standardized tests. That includes evaluating teachers based on student test scores and grading schools A-F based on test scores. John White of Louisiana is a current member, as is Tony Bennett, the new commissioner of Florida who got the job after Indiana voters rejected his Bush-style reforms last November and tossed him out of office....

July 2, 2013
...Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush headlined the private event Tuesday at the Nonantum Resort.
Bush, thought to be weighing a bid for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016, is the son of former President George H.W. Bush and the brother of former President George W. Bush. Known for moderate political views, he has expressed hope that the GOP can evolve into the party of "inclusion and acceptance."
But the Democratic National Committee seized on Bush's support for LePage as an example of how Republican leaders "remain beholden to the tea party base that continues to call the shots in today's GOP."
"Jeb Bush's work in support of Paul LePage, one of the most controversial and unpopular governors in the country, proves that the Republican Party didn't learn from their mistakes in 2012 and have no intention of changing their ways," said Democratic National Committee spokesman Michael Czin.
Bush spokesman Jaryn Emhof said that Bush was inspired to help LePage by their history of working together....

I bet.

The Nonantum Resort (click here) is located in Kennebunkport, Maine, one of New England’s most famous seaside villages.  Best known for its pristine beaches and rocky shores -- edged by period waterfront cottages -- Kennebunkport has preserved the essence of a traditional three-season vacation destination.  The Resort is an easy walk to the shops, galleries and restaurants of Dock Square as well as some of the most pristine beaches on the East Coast....

One has to wonder how credible any statement by Governor LePage actually is when he is playing footsie with corruption on the Mainers' state treasury. He can't be trusted. The only reason Bush threw the fundraiser was for return funding from the state treasury. He probably should be impeached. Do doubt the good people of Maine have patience until the elections and that is unfortunate. LePage does a lot of damage to the futures and current economy of Maine.

Ah, the poor American is threatened yet again with oil price increases, but, why?

July 3, 2013
As oil supplies fell (click here) in the last week by about 10 million barrels and unrest in Egypt roils oil and financial markets, drivers can expect a bump in gas prices this Independence Day weekend, say petroleum watchers.
The political turmoil in Egypt intensified as the Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi said on Wednesday that he will stay in office despite an ultimatum that he meet the demands of protesters or else the military will suspend the constitution and disband parliament...

The Egyptian democracy? That has nothing to do with the price of oil in the USA. It is fascinating to watch Wall Street exploit the meager understandings of the American people.

One of Egypt's challenges (click here) is to satisfy increasing domestic demand for oil in the midst of falling domestic production. Although in recent years, oil output has experienced moderate increases from new production at smaller fields.

Egypt produces more LNG than oil and it is primarily shipped through the Suez Canal and pipelines to the Persian Gulf. So, what has the Egyptian democracy got to do with gas hikes?

The propaganda in the USA is absolutely ludicrous. As soon as there is any kind of 'trauma' anywhere in the world it is an excuse for oil commodities to skyrocket and "Oh the poor American is expecting every bit of it."

You can tell Americans don't think on a regular basis, because, if they did they would know the reason people are upset in Egypt is because the economy AND availability of gas for Egyptian cars has dwindled. The people of Egypt are upset.  For very real reasons. They can't get around with their automobiles and they don't have electric cars.

I see this dilemma as interesting.

Under President Mubarak the oil obtained from Egyptian oil wells was refined and sold domestically in Egypt. Now, under President or should I say former President Morsi Egyptians have no gasoline in their tanks. So, where did the oil go? Not to domestic refineries otherwise there would be no interruption in the gas supply to the Egyptian citizens.

That is a question I am sure every Egyptian is asking. I have to wonder what the next stop for the former President will be, a cell next to Mubarak?

Oh, that phenomena with Americans? "Push button." The American consumer is push button. Makes all the politics easy. I mean, why not get mad enough to declare war on Egypt after all?

The plane was actually searched. That is a measure too far. This is pure foolishness.

The West actually believes a Wall Street hacker would be on the same plane as a sovereign nation's President?

The President's security alone would dictate otherwise. Snowden is nobody compared to President Morales safety and security. Evidently, this speaks more to the real security issues the USA continues to have. It would seem Bolivia appreciates the importance of the security and safety of their President.

This occurred with no real intelligence. None. A television appearance to a populous audience is not intelligence. There were no validating facts to even attempt this foolishness.

This level of idiocy is more reflective of the Bush grandstanding presidency rather than Obama. Is there no dignity within the USA government anymore? Anything goes, huh? Stop planes with sovereign leaders and even search them for wayward employees of Wall Street. Well, isn't this something.

When is Congress going to actually hold hearings regarding Carlyle and their subsidiaries? The Congress might even want to have some FACTS from their intelligence agencies before they start the questioning rather than waving their financial portfolios as they did iPhones at the Apple executives.

I apologize to President Morales of Bolivia. Evidently, the USA has a chronic struggle separating issues of sovereign business from that of Wall Street ineptness. Mr. Snowden was not qualified for the position he held. He might have been excellent at punching the keyboard to find his way into secure websites elsewhere, but he hardly had the correct focus to trust. The job, once begun, scared the living daylights out of the guy.

Currently in the USA Wall Street Executives have more rights than the citizens do and this is a reflection. In the USA money can buy this sort of flamboyant global chase to distract from the real problem and the real culprits. It doesn't matter the differences that exist between Bolivia and the USA, kidnapping a President and hijacking his plane for an illegal search based in complete populism is simply "W"rong.

This was not only humiliating it assailed the sovereign security of Bolivia. This is muscle flexing imagined out of fabricated ideas and not the truth. In all honesty this is more a humiliation of the USA and it's current political state than that of Bolivia.

A senior Bolivian diplomat (click here) said the Austrians had acted at the bidding of the United States, which has been trying to get its hands on Snowden since he revealed details of its secret surveillance programs last month.
"We're talking about the president on an official trip after an official summit being kidnapped," Bolivia's ambassador to the United Nations, Sacha Llorenti Soliz, told reporters in Geneva.
The Bolivian plane, which was taking Morales home from an energy conference in Moscow, was stranded at Vienna airport for several hours after Portugal and France refused to allow it to fly through their airspace.
The search found that Snowden was not onboard and the plane eventually left Vienna about noon on Wednesday....

The proposed abortion laws in Texas expose cowardess in primary elections.

This the Chairman of the Texas Republican Party. The Party is having problems with funding.

Steve Munisteri (click here) was elected Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas on June 13, 2010 at the Republican State Convention in Fort Worth, Texas. Munisteri defeated the incumbent State Chairman, Ms. Cathie Adams....

...Upon his election, Munisteri initially focused on the Party’s financial difficulties. He inherited liabilities in excess of $700,000 and the Party’s liabilities exceeded the Party’s assets by hundreds of thousands of dollars. Munisteri then initiated a series of structural and financial reforms, including the elimination of some positions, renegotiating contracts, restructuring the Party's debt, and budget cuts which resulted in reducing its monthly obligations from approximately $139,000 per month to a little over $90,000....

Texas is notorious for having wealthy Christian extremists. It is those extremists the abortion law is targeting.

We already know abortions are about women. But, these abortion laws in Texas are a covert measure to raise funds for the GOP primary elections. If Governor Perry and his colleagues in the State Senate and State House can convince the Texas religious periphery of their worthiness as devoted and godly legislators, these monies will pour into the Texas GOP coffers and perhaps even carry Perry into the Oval Office.

These laws in Texas as in other states across the USA where GOP extremists need monies to win elections completely disregard the public trust and the health of women. These proposed laws have absolutely no basis in medical practice and tie the hands of physicians when protecting a woman's life. These are a gross affront to the ethical standards of all these state legislative bodies.

Those bringing these laws to the floor of any State legislative chamber, even into committee, need to be pursued for ethical violations. The ethical complaints need to go forward and the wayward legislators made to prove their laws are based in sound medical and surgical practice in the USA. I am quite sure the American Medical Association has clear insight to these matters.

Populous legislation can happen, but, not when it comes to saving the lives of women.

There is no reason why expert testimony should not be entered into the testimony regarding these laws. They are seriously imperiling the lives of women. They simply are wayward and populous laws toying with lives.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — More than 2,300 people (click here) signed up to testify about proposed abortion restrictions before a Texas House committee on Tuesday, but rules imposed by the panel’s top Republican mean no more than 100 members of the public would get a chance to speak.

State Rep. Byron Cook imposed an eight-hour limit on the hearing, with each person getting just three minutes before the committee, and he chose a room with only 67 seats. The restrictions come after a similar hearing two weeks ago turned into a 12-hour marathon when 700 protesters slowed the passage of the bill in the first special session. A Democratic filibuster and an angry crowd stopped the bill from becoming law a few days later leading GOP Gov. Rick Perry to call the Legislature back for a second special session....

The Hurricane

The east Pacific tropical storm has dropped it's central pressure to 987 millibars and increased it's velocity to 65 knots per hour.

Hurricane Dalila is pushing heat from the troposphere into an already hot Pacific Ocean. It is cooling the land/terra firma as I write this.

The hurricane is at the left margin of the image south of the Baja Peninsula.

The vapor trail is still intact, however, the unrealistic hope there would be three storms has proven unfruitful. The tropospheric heat was absorbed by the hurricane. Better that than nothing. There is a near shore accumulation of water vapor over Belize. But, nothing else.

Hurricane Dalila is south of the Baja Peninsula, however, there is another interesting circulation center in the east Pacific northeast of Hawaii. It is more upper troposphere with sparse water vapor at this point, but, it bears watching.

The reason it is a concern to me is the FACT it is beginning to pick up equatorial water vapor. When these systems increase their water vapor content they accelerate their velocities.

GET RID OF HER

She can't do math. She has done nothing but hold every companies and associations hand since the Affordable Care Act was passed.

She is completely ineffective as Cabinet Secretary during a time when we need competency most.

She needs to be replaced, now. No more waivers, mo more waiting. NOW!
