If anything can turn my head is talking numbers.

1.2 million NEW fracking wells in the USA alone.

The USA alone has an area of 3,536,290 square miles of land in the lower contiguous states. That means the petroleum industry plans to place 2.9 square miles.

That does not account for the existing wells, just the news.

The USA is not the largest country in the world. Russia has 6,232,482 square miles of land and is considered the largest country in the world.

Canada is next with 3,511,023 square miles of land, the largest country in the Americas. Canada including water areas is 3,855,100 square miles.

China follows with 3,694,959 square miles of land.

The USA follows in behind China.
