The National Prayer Breakfast

President Obama had it correct in calling out those that attend in name only.

While Dr. Carson had interesting things to say, he has detractors. His detractors are peers. The Catholic Church has openly defended the poor and their financial status as a point of morality. There has been a movement with a group of nuns, "Nuns on the Bus," about widespread poverty in the USA.

So, while Dr. Carson is welcome to talk about his point of view he has yet to answer his peers regarding the ability and change in the quality of life for the poor, low and middle income Americans to contribute to paying the national debt. Dr. Carson's position on tax 'contributions' of a flat tax, similar to the 10% of church things is misguided.

Morality in paying taxes has to be viewed as 'the ability' to contribute not only to the payment of the  national debt, but, the USA economy. When the upper crust is profiting off the needs of the Middle and Lower Classes and their spending, it time for them give back and facilitate the USA Treasury to pay its bills.

The USA has gone through a very difficult economic recovery and to believe hacking into incomes that don't even pay a living wage is hugely immoral. Dr.Carson on this point is wrong. Dedicated to his ideation of tithing, but, not correct on morality on this issue.

Dr. Benjamin Carson, (click here) director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at The Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions, delivered a powerful 25-minute message at the annual National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C. on Thursday.

A world-renowned pediatric neurosurgeon, Carson openly spoke about the many problems that our nation faces – healthcare, education, taxes, the national debt and moral decline. He started off by sharing the biblical wisdom that is found in the inspired word of God, as he read the following scriptures aloud: Proverbs 11:9, Proverbs 11:12, Proverbs 11:25 and 2 Chronicles 7:14.
Carson said that he encourages Americans to take hold of their rights to freedom of thought and freedom of expression without the fear of offending someone because of political correctness, which is "dangerous."...
