Economic damage would be extremely devastating and it is nothing this world wants to face.

The movie "Day After Tomorrow" was consulted and written by scientists. They chose real world events to wrote a story that was to help Americans realize the danger was real.

The USA needs to get serious about the climate crisis and the world needs to turn to alternative energies as soon as possible.

Clean energy and clean cars.

Now!

Until later...

Nothing has scared me more about the Climate Crisis than the fire tornado.

August 3, 2018
By Doyle Rice

The devastating fire tornado (click here) that spun up during the Carr Fire last week had 143 mph winds, according to a preliminary report from the National Weather Service Thursday. This is equal to an EF-3 tornado on the five-level Enhanced Fujita Scale.

Dan Keeton, the meteorologist-in-charge at the National Weather Service in Sacramento, said the fact that the weather service was able to see the rotation of the 35,000-foot-tall plume on its radar — well over 100 miles south of Redding — was significant....

Urban Heat Islands

Heat islands (click here) form as vegetation is replaced by asphalt and concrete for roads, buildings, and other structures necessary to accommodate growing populations. These surfaces absorb—rather than reflect—the sun's heat, causing surface temperatures and overall ambient temperatures to rise. Displacing trees and vegetation minimizes the natural cooling effects of shading and evaporation of water from soil and leaves (evapotranspiration). Tall buildings and narrow streets can heat air trapped between them and reduce air flow. Waste heat from vehicles, factories, and air conditioners may add warmth to their surroundings, further exacerbating the heat island effect. Heat islands can occur year-round during the day or night. Urban-rural temperature differences are often largest during calm, clear evenings. This is because rural areas cool off faster at night than cities, which retain much of the heat stored in roads, buildings, and other structures. As a result, the largest urban-rural temperature difference, or maximum heat island effect, is often three to five hours after sunset. Other contributing factors to the heat island effect include:...

I will return to Sunday night postings next week. That will give me a chance to see where I left off and then finish the Kyoto Protocol country list.

I love my country and I love the freedom it affords me, but, it is not perfect and perhaps the problems in the USA only goes to prove people are perfect. I have never been this worried about the USA democracy more than today. It is more than worry, it is fear there is a power outside my country's democracy that really wants to harm it. I can't and won't be a part of that.

For what it is worth, newspapers and media have been a part of my everyday life for most of my life. My family was somewhat political, some enjoyed being involved in local offices, but, never once did I ever believe the news media of the USA was evil and more interested in lies than the truth. That kind of talk needs to stop.

Other than the fear of losing my democracy, which is real. It has never been so real; but, the real fear I have today started with the 3 and a half mile high fire tornado.

It has been my experience since diligently pursuing the truth regarding Earth's climate that a dangerous phenomenon begins with an introduction and then over time becomes the norm. That has happened with hurricanes and especially true with tornadoes. There are more tornado outbreaks every year as each one passes. That brings me to the fire tornado within the last month.

Triple-digit heat is real. It spawned that enormously dangerous tornado. But, if my observations hold true this is the beginning of a greater trend. That tornado melted metal buildings.

Remember these guys?

Cities are heat islands. This fire tornado resulted because of high heat. We can't play with this. Every mayor needs to begin to appreciate the color white and reflect solar energy back into space. This is not just the USA. Every mayor in every city in the world needs to paint their city buildings white. No fancy silvery overlays of buildings that eventually burst into flames with the suns rays. Plain old ordinary white buildings. I never meant it more than I do today.

September 24, 2009

Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg (click here) and former Vice President and founder of the Alliance for Climate Protection Al Gore today launched an NYC Service initiative, “NYC Cool Roofs,” to mobilize volunteers to coat the rooftops of participating buildings with reflective, white coating to reduce cooling costs, energy usage and greenhouse emissions.  The Mayor and former Vice President helped NYC Service volunteers coat the rooftop of the Long Island City YMCA in Queens.  The program will begin with a pilot from September 24th to October 9th, with teams of volunteers working to coat 100,000 square feet of rooftop in Long Island City, a neighborhood that exhibits higher temperatures than the citywide average due to the amount of industrial rooftops in the area....

No one said violent Americans weren’t listening.

No one has accused Americans of being particularly bright either. What is Trump going to say, “This announcement isn’t for Americans, but, the hackers which will facilitate greater power to me in 2018. Let’s face Americans can’t seem to grasp I am a treasonist, so Russian hackers are my best friends.”

It is interesting, isn’t it? Trump is screaming fire in a theater and no one in the FCC seems particularly interested. A federal agency is supposed to protect the public, not victimize it. Media outlets needed to file civil suits to protect their professionals from irrational statements by the President of the USA. Wave the flag ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ and rely on long lived professional standards and policy. If everyone is doing and complaining about the same thing judges will be compelled to act.

Putting up with Trump is nonsense.

I suppose there can be an appeal.

It is basically unbelievable that Governor Snyder can end the democracy in a city or town, poison the people, have people die of disease, reinstate an emergency manager law after a statewide referendum to end it and never be held responsible for any of those decisions in lawsuits where he was the ultimate culprit.

There is something Un-American about it. This is a civil suit and all the more reason to keep everyone responsible on the roster. Civil suits don't hold the highest degree of proof, but, only evidence that points to those liable.

Something is very wrong here.

A federal judge on Wednesday (click here) removed Michigan Governor Rick Snyder, a former mayor of Flint, along with the state government from a list of defendants in a class-action lawsuit over the Flint water crisis.

The lawsuit, brought by a dozen residents of Flint and three local businesses, involves 13 claims related to a decision in 2014 to pipe water from the Flint River, instead of water provided by Detroit Water and Sewerage.

The water from the Flint River was more corrosive than Detroit’s, and rife with lead and bacteria. By the time Flint reverted to using the DWSD, some residents of the largely African American city, including children, showed evidence of lead poisoning.

According the 128-page opinion by U.S. District Judge Judith E. Levy, “Lead poisoning caused plaintiffs to suffer from severe medical problems with their hair, skin, digestive system, and organs, as well as brain and other developmental injuries including cognitive deficits, among other issues.”

In the opinion, Levy dismissed the governor, former Flint Mayor Dayne Walling and other state and municipal officials from the suit....

...Different lawsuits related to the crisis are also pending in at least seven different state and federal courts throughout Michigan.

There is something very wrong here.

Detroit— The impact of Flint's lead-tainted water (click here) could last decades, affecting children whose development could be hurt and causing generations of residents to lose trust in government, panelists on the water crisis said Thursday.

Discussion included long-term health effects for children exposed to the lead-tainted water, response from Flint residents, the legal ramifications and what it will take to fully recover. Lead leached into the city's water after Flint switched its municipal source to the Flint River in April 2014.

Despite what officials say about the water being safe, residents remain leery of drinking tap water, said panelist Leonard Fleming, a Detroit News reporter who has extensively covered the Flint water crisis for the past two years.

“They don’t trust government officials," said Fleming. "It could take a generation or two for residents to trust the city and state again and its water."...

Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette (click here) has loaded his taxpayer-funded office payroll with Republican campaign activists in the run-up to his 2018 campaign for governor, a Free Press investigation has found.

Schuette also has used no-bid state contracts to pay more than $130,000 to two influential Republicans — one of whom has been active in the tea party movement that is important in winning a Republican primary, records show....

Please remember one thing, just one thing.

Putin.

Vladimir Putin has taken Trump under his wing and has rewarded Trump time and again. Putin has created an image of Trump as being a hero to Russia and the American establishment the real enemy.

Oh, yes indeed. So when Trump makes these outrageous statements, like the one about the press being the enemy, there are loyal Russians that take him as seriously as they take their own President.

Recently, RT sponsored an American police officer now living in Russia that states he was a lone man in his job trying to end racism by turning in other officers committing unthinkable assassinations of young black men. He feared for his life as a do - gooder. I have no idea if the facts were true or not. The point is Putin’s Russia is now more interested in America’s problems than their own. Remember now Trump’s the hero slaying all the dragons.

Does RT ever tell their viewership about Russian Birth Vacations in the USA while their hero American President is committing human rights abuses of people and their children fleeing from deadly drug cartels. RT should feature the Russian Birth Vacation side by side with devastated parents from the USA’s southern border and ask what is wrong with that picture? Same President, who is the fool now?

I think the American people are very naive to believe President Trump’s message about the press has only one audience within the sovereign USA.

That observation is not about Europe.

Caught “The Beat” on MSNBC when a guest, Mr. Podesta notes the day Trump stated, “If Russia is listening...30,000 emails...”, it was that very night the Russian hackers started their attack on the “Hillary” election offices including the DCCC.

All that is true and now what seems like the entire past week Trump is stating, “The (American) Press is an enemy to the people.”

The Press actually believes that was directed to the American people? I don’t and haven’t since I heard it. Trump is talking to the hackers again; Russian or otherwise.

The Hackers are being played for fools. Trump stated the press is the enemy to inspire the hackers to destroy the elections of 2018 knowing he will run interference for them from inside his seat of power. Better said, Donald Trump will make whatever damage the hackers do stick from his Oval Office.

Everyone needs to listen with better ears. Not easy to do I guess, but, then I consider him treasonist. Trump is a human rights abuser and obviously a treasoner to me. He is a nightmare and evidently a USA Press Corp that takes offense to such lies are so pure of professional ethics they can’t think corruptly. That is amazing. At a time in USA history when the country needs the Press to be vigilant; they can’t even conceive of a president that is sincerely a treasonist. Wow.

Trump talks a lot to powers outside the USA. Pompeo is his second Secretary of State, right? Pompeo is having the same exact problems as Tillerson and Pompeo was never a CEO of a global petroleum company.

Hello?
A statement from Russia yesterday was the re-commitment of Russian troops to Syria protecting the Golan Heights from invasion by Israel. This needs to go before the U.N. Security Council as Israel is an ally to the USA. Such activity by sovereign Russian troops is new. It should rise urgently to the U.N. Security Council to be sure there are clear understanding of borders and incursion limits.

Of course, that means Assad is backed by the sovereign Russia and not simply Russian mercenaries. The USA has troops in the region and acted to defend themselves killing 200 Russian mercenaries. There should be no active threat to any USA military as it could spark a larger conflict. The region does not need a larger conflict with millions of displaced Syrians already and a death toll pushing one million deaths. Continued aggression and any escalation has to be met with accusations of any player with genocide. The Syrian people need peace.

I also remind the USA has not returned all the children that were border crossers with their parents to their families inside the USA or in foreign lands. This dissolving of families currently named “deleted  families” is a form of genocide. The Trump Administration does not get partial credit. All the children have yet to be returned to their families. Any expense affiliated with this reunification belongs to the USA. These families can’t afford unification and that financial burden is an extension of a genocide. The poverty facilitates the Trump genocide when families are unduly burdened by a punitive government action. Welcome to Trump World where actions through irrational anger turns out to be expensive. Has the class action started yet?
With the advent of the Manafort trial and presentation of actual evidence, Congress is drawing up new sanctions against Russia. Also, Putin blatantly stating in Helsinki he tampered with the election of 2016, raises a new reality about Putin and Russia. I have to speculate if Putin’s boasting in Helsinki will also be introduced as evidence somewhere along the line in the prosecution and ongoing investigation. There is also more evidence of election tampering this year by Russia as well.

Left to be answered is what EXACTLY took place in the 2 and a half hour meeting in Helsinki and does it amount to witness tampering by Trump?
The USA debt just passed $21.3 trillion. The US Treasury is planning to increase bond sales in the next 3 months with higher interest rates to increase buyer incentives. Increased interest rates also increases the USA’s debt and deficit.

Next auction of US Treasury Bonds will be increased by $7 billion including a new 2 month bond to increase liquidity.

The US Treasury under Trump/Mnunchen will increase US borrowing $30 billion each quarter. The borrowing in the second half of 2018 is $769 billion which is an increase of 63% over 2017.

Trump/Munuchin has stated the increase in borrowing would be countered by economic growth. That has not borne out. The US budget deficit, not the budget alone, but the deficit will be near $1 trillion by 2019 and surpass $1.5 trillion by 2028.

Financing the US Debt, not deficit, was $458 billion in fiscal 2017 and so far financing 2018 is $415 billion.

The tax and withholding has dropped 1% from the same time last year; a fall in US Treasury income of $17 billion; which explains the new 2 month bond offering to shore up liquidity to pay the bills. The government shutdown isn’t about anything except the lack of Treasury income predicted to pay for tax cuts and additional government spending. Basically, Trump/Munuchin are losing ground on their own budget projections and spending exceeds the expected income from any economic growth.

Bottom line is White House’s tax bill looked great on paper but is a sinking ship. And, oh by the way, housing sales are down, too.

California has every right to stem any greenhouse gas emissions. (click here for Smithsonian Magazine assessment of cause)

The fire tornado in California is a completely new and extremely dangerous manifestation of the climate crisis.

This manifestation of a new spontaneous inferno destroyed every method of firefighting and placed citizens at risk. The fire funnel was 3 and one-half miles high into the troposphere. There were absolutely no conventional methods that were ready for this horror.

California is in trouble. This is very big trouble. The tornado carried fire so high into the troposphere he fell passing the fire breaks the firefighters worked so hard to build  It carried fire, blazing fire, so high into the troposphere there were now communities vulnerable never expected to be in the assessment and immediate and vast evacuations resulted. Below this entry is a YouTube video of a person that was deathly afraid he was never going to make it out of the fire zone. He obviously is short breath because the tornado is not simply moving air around as a regular tornado does, but, this fire tornado uses oxygen and leaves the area short of breathable oxygen.

I have linked to "Smithsonian Magazine" because it is popular and knows how to convey complicated concepts to laymen and laywomen. The professional assessments that will be printed in "peer reviewed journals" are yet to be written to perfection. This entire episode with the climate crisis must be meticulously documented. This is a new danger no one expected.

The drought in California (click here) that exists right now is not directly responsible for this fire tornado. California has seen far worse droughts than this. It was the atmospheric heat that caused the OPPORTUNITY for this fire tornado. This is the first time such a gigantic fire tornado reaching into the troposphere has occurred. It is a recent and historic event NO LEADER IN ANY COUNTRY SHOULD IGNORE.

Fires have started again in Spain. The USA dare not let down it's guard. It might happen again.

...Records were shattered (click here) in some places on Friday. The temperature at the University of California, Los Angeles, reached 111 on Friday, the hottest it has ever been there. Other record highs, according to the National Weather Service, were 114 at the Hollywood Burbank Airport, 117 at the Van Nuys Airport, 117 in Ramona and 114 in Santa Ana. In Riverside, a high temperature of 118 matched a record set in 1925.

It is the heat, the triple-digit heat that caused ignition. Air conditioners cooling inside air is not going to prevent this. People have to be aware of their circumstances. This is a tornado and we don't know if tornado sirens work. The heat will probably melt the sirens before they have a chance to sound. There is no adequate public safety policy to cover this emergency. California's legislature has to fund the research to find a strong public safety policy.

Dr. Chris Fields is California's best bet in leading a team to solve this mystery and develop a public policy that will begin to address this emergency. It is the climate. It can't be contained in a neat little definition for people to follow. The greenhouse gases HAVE TO COME DOWN. NO DEREGULATION IS PUBLIC POLICY NOW.

I am quite used to being interrupted no matter where I am or what I am doing in my life when such statements are made by a person, today it is Trump, that doesn't care to understand this is an emergency the country has no answer for in a new manifestation of the climate crisis. I've been acting in protection of Americans even when dressed in a ball gown and heels waiting for the sound of midnight of a new year to strike. People like Trump look for opportunities when they think no one is watching or listening. Don't think for one minute this fire tornado didn't spawn Trump's renewed war against California today. This and sanctuary cities are too much for the "mean temper of Trump."

The USA MUST address the climate crisis. The US Congress should be in emergency session right now and not be announcing they don't give a damn through a moronic president.

AMERICANS ARE DYING OUT HERE!

Government rabbit holes and bunkers won't protect anyone when the oxygen is being used as fuel.

I think the USA needs election poll sitters.

Not necessarily to remove the security Facebook already has or believes it needs, but, the country needs an agent at every social media cite to monitor daily discoveries.

It could be FBI, CIA or military intelligence, but, a member of the government, paid by the government to assist social media sites during elections. The way the USA elections go now, it would be year round. I realize this is an intrusion into the private sector, but, the agent would play a role other than that of an employee. Sort of similar to that of the UN election monitors, but, with the ability to immediately take information and reports to begin an investigation right at the time the hacking and/or fake sites were reported. An agent could pick up trends.

It seems a shame to me that social media now have to be police to ruthless communists. I think that is probably a drag on their creativity. If there was an agent within the structure where all this mess takes place, it could be a real asset to the business and end this interference once and for all. If the criminals are caught at the time they are deploying their nonsense, it would end it. There could be a trial run to be sure it makes a difference.

When Facebook revealed on Tuesday (click here) that it had identified a political influence campaign ahead of the November midterm elections, the company’s chief security officer, Alex Stamos, was front-and-center in speaking on the issue.

But Mr. Stamos will exit the social network this month, just as Facebook steps up its efforts to combat misinformation and foreign interference. In an interview, Mr. Stamos, 39, said he planned to join Stanford University in September as an adjunct professor and will also become part of a faculty working group called Information Warfare where he will examine the role of security and technology in society.

The timing is tricky as Facebook grapples with potential threats including election meddling and hackers. The New York Times reported in Marchthat Mr. Stamos planned to leave Facebook in August and that his day-to-day responsibilities were reassigned to others last December, but the Silicon Valley company does not plan to appoint a successor for chief security officer....

“Jane Fonda in Five Acts.” (click here for the review of her new documentary - thank you)

She is incredible. She has been a leader all her life. It never mattered what her message was and the method she delivered it, she mattered. There were times when she may have been a reluctant leader, but, she was just the same. Perhaps being a leader made it easy to be a film industry icon and a star. Her life matters.

Stupid is as stupid does.

There really is no other way of saying it, the USA is in a climate crisis yet recognized.

Federal legislators treat the symptom at times, but, they never propose a comprehensive policy to end greenhouse gas pollution. Three years of lack of water is extremely concerning. It is not simply an El Nino or La Nina; it is drought WITHOUT clear abatement to it. It is a drought without clear discernable boundaries. It is a climate crisis.

Lack of water is a human rights abuse. American agriculture is NOT the problem. It is easy to find a reason when facing such enormous stress. But, the problem is a very hot planet with obvious and predictable problems.

Somewhere about four years ago, Dr. Christopher Field (click here) openly predicted the fires being witnessed in California today. Dr. Field has been at the forefront of the climate crisis for a long time. This is not a new prediction that he pulled out of the air to impress anyone. He states such events in prediction from facts and figures.

EVERYONE WAS TOLD!

Who the heck are Americans voting for???

Jalalabad - At least 15 people were killed (click here) on Tuesday in Afghanistan’s eastern city of Jalalabad when gunmen stormed a government building, trapping dozens inside after a suicide bomber blew himself up at the entrance gate, officials and witnesses said....

There seems to be an increase in terrorist presence since the Pakistani elections. I am surprised that Tajikistan had a problem.  I always think of them as being connected to Russia, but, obviously, that is not valid. The video below shows a concerned and responsive government. It is difficult moving into a democracy that can protect people and events. This is a government that is concerned, but, still unable to defeat terrorism before it starts.

Two Americans are dead and that is not a good thing. Tajikistan needs to open a dialogue with American generals about this incident and an increase of Daesh presence. It should lead the way to engage military diplomacy to end these terrorist incursions.

Two Americans were killed in Tajikistan (click here) in what the U.S. Embassy described as a “senseless” car-and-knife attack on a group of seven cyclists.

Two other tourists — one Swiss, the other from the Netherlands — were also killed.

The Islamic State claimed responsibility, and on Tuesday released a video purporting to show the attackers pledging allegiance to the group. However, U.S. officials have not confirmed ISIS' involvement and the Tajik government blamed local Islamists....

In looking at some of the "Melania tapes" I sincerely believe she is living up to her marriage contract.

I question whether this abusive dialogue is her dialogue. Maybe she is a demon in disguise, but, I never got that impression about her. I think the closer for me was the Easter Egg Hunt last year when Trump was standing there like a dummy as the national anthem played. Melania actually had to poke Donny in the side to remind him this is the time to put your hand over your heart. Interestingly, she still assumes he still has one. A heart, that is.

But, was she simply spoofing the press to make example of them? That doesn't seem like her style. She has been a media icon long before Trump was married to her. I think she is emotionally abused at the very least by Trump. It seems fairly obvious. Her retaliation is that she will do exactly what the marriage contract demands and no more. She obviously is a dedicated mother to Baron.

I like her. She is dignified even when she has to wear a jacket designed by Trump.

I look at it this way; she was emotionally abused immediately when she became pregnant with Barron. Trump was having an affair with a Playboy model and then took a dip in the pool of women at a golf outing and had a tryst with Ms. Clifford. Realizing that reality and her love of her son, how does anyone actually judge her? I like her and I strongly believe she was and is emotionally abused by Trump. He likes to hurt her. The day she took one of her staffers in the Rose Garden it was obvious he was enjoying the statement to the world that he oppresses his wife and doesn't care.

He even laughed about not getting her a gift for her birthday to the curvy couch. That was never President Obama. He and Michelle were seen on anniversaries, very romantically involved. He once stated in an interview with her, he bought her expensive gifts like the necklace she was wearing that day at the interview. None of that is visible with Trump. There is something very wrong. He is a man that likes to maintain 'the aires' of being detached from a permanent relationship. He is in his eighth decade of life. Hello? Hamburgers abound.
