August 24, 2005. The Altantic Supercell. The North American Supercell. The vortex over Alaska receiving the heat from the Pacific Equator. Oh, yeah.  

August 23, 2005. St. George Island, Alaska. Dangerous place.  

August 23, 2005. St. George Island, Alaska. Storm Swells. 

August 23, 2005. St. George Island is taking a pounding this year. Last week we saw people struggling with ocean surges that was destroying boat docks. This week the sea is unrelenting. 

2005. The Juneau Alaska Glaciers are temperate glaciers. They freeze at zero degrees. They are located on the Pacific Ocean's northeastern boundary. These 'temperate' glaciers are among the first to disappear/melt from Global Warming. There has been very little recharge of the Juneau Icefields so the surface 'snows' are melting revealing the older blue ice. There is also hardly any snow on the mountains either. Alaska.

August 24, 2005. No "Supercell" in the West according to UNISYS GOES West Infrared Satellite. Only Cat 2 Hurricane Hillary on it's way past Hawaii. Why would there be Supercells over the USA and the Atlantic and not the Pacific? It's the million/billion dollar question. Because. Because all the carbon dioxide from the emitting USA is where? AH. Is that it? You betcha. The Carbon Dioxide pollution from California to New York City and the Southern USA (the worst in the nation on a cumulative basis) all sweeps across the USA to the Atlantic to meet up with the second biggest CO2 emitter, Britain. All that CO2 is destroying the North Polar Cap and the ecosystem of Polar Bears. Slush. Not a good thing. 

August 24, 2005. It's nearly a perfect circle. As a matter of fact there are nearly two circles. Where have we seen these 'Supercells' before? "Day After Tomorrow" What do you think? The vortex in the Atlantic still has an eddy that is a hurricane. There is that tropical depression in northwest of Cuba and near Florida. I think it's 30 mph today.  

August 24, 2005. Kansas isn't the worst of it. There are some very difficult weather in Mexico, Mississippi and Arkansas. Vortex. See the circle. Of course you do.
