2005. The Juneau Alaska Glaciers are temperate glaciers. They freeze at zero degrees. They are located on the Pacific Ocean's northeastern boundary. These 'temperate' glaciers are among the first to disappear/melt from Global Warming. There has been very little recharge of the Juneau Icefields so the surface 'snows' are melting revealing the older blue ice. There is also hardly any snow on the mountains either.
