China will prove a valuable partner to fight the Ebola outbreak.

November 6, 2014

Dakar: China plans (click here) to send about 1000 medical workers and experts to West Africa to help fight the Ebola outbreak.
China, Africa's biggest trade partner, has come under criticism for not doing enough. Countries such as Cuba, the United States and European nations have sent hundreds of personnel.
Beijing has already sent a total of 252 people to Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone, the three hardest-hit countries, and donated about $123 million to 13 African countries and international organisations to combat Ebola....
The only help the Chinese received to fight SARS was from the WHO. They won their fight handedly. If the Chinese are half that effective in Africa the local epidemic should come to a close.
