This was my friend's neighborhood yesterday in Jacksonville, North Carolina.

The next morning it was difficult to believe their new reality.
Jacksonville, North Carolina is near Camp LeJeune.  Many military familes live and work there.  The more she looked around the more difficult it was to believe.

The storms launched 241 twisters over 14 states, (click title to entry - thank you) killing at least 44 people from Oklahoma to North Carolina and Virginia. And more weather is moving in.

May and June are usually the height of tornado season in the USA.  Considering this tornado season started long before the traditional season, there is every possibility it only gets worse from here.

Yep.

No shade for the summer.  Beautiful old tree.  Gone.

It will never be the same.
